Hollyoaks bosses have cast former Eternal singer Kelle Bryan in the role of Simone Loveday's sister, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.
The actress and singer has landed the part of Martine Deveraux, who has a huge bombshell to drop when she joins the village next month.
Shortly after Louis Loveday returns to Chester, air hostess Martine turns up on his and Leela's doorstep with some news to share – and it's just the beginning of the drama to come.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood commented: "We are very excited to welcome Kelle to the cast of Hollyoaks. She is a massive injection of energy into the cast and into the Loveday family.

Kelle added: "I watched Hollyoaks back in the day and loved it, so to be joining the team is just fab. It's a stellar cast of actors and we are simply having a blast working together.

Kelle is best known for being part of Eternal, one of Britain's most successful R&B groups. Their best-known hit 'I Wanna Be the Only One' topped the UK singles chart in 1997 and won that year's Mobo Award for Best Single.
More recently, Kelle has performed on stage in several musical theatre productions and had her West End debut in 2017 in Wings. Her TV credits include roles in The Bill and Me & Mrs Jones.
