Stuart identifies the shooter
How will Halfway react?

The Carter family are relieved when they find out that the doctors are going to try bringing Stuart round. They realise that he'll be able to tell the police the truth about what really happened. Deciding to get in there first, Shirley remains adamant that Dylan is the culprit and tries to prove it herself.

Later, Stuart regains consciousness and announces that he wants to speak to Halfway. When they talk alone, Stuart tells his brother that Mick was the shooter.

Meanwhile, Kush continues to struggle with Sophie's presence, but Carmel remains adamant that it's time to forgive and forget. Kush gives Carmel an ultimatum, but she's still fixated on Sophie and tries to help her find somewhere to live.

Elsewhere, Hayley realises how tough motherhood will be when she sees how much Stacey has to do.

Also today, Stacey receives a text from an unknown number, telling her to head over to the E20 club.

Stuart gives DI Arthurs his version of events, while Halfway tries to warn Mick about his brother's revelation.

Meanwhile, Carmel continues her efforts to help Sophie, showing her the letter she's written to Bruno's lawyer to help reduce his sentence.

inda fights to clear Mick's name
But her efforts prove to be fruitless.

The Carters are in shock following Mick's arrest, but the wheels of justice are moving quickly as Stuart gives his statement. Linda storms the hospital room and accuses Stuart of lying, but she ends up being ushered out by the police.

Linda begs Zara to believe that Mick is innocent, but Zara shows where her loyalties lie by corroborating Stuart's story.

Meanwhile, Hayley gives her mum a frosty reception and is unhappy to learn that Jean was the one who made contact with her. Hayley decides to give Bev a chance, but she's livid when she realises why her mum is really there and realises that she hasn't changed a bit.
