Hollyoaks' James Nightingale will scheme to get rid of his dad forever when the villain returns to the village next week.

Mac (David Easter) has spent the last nine months in a care home after his horror fall at The Dog last year left him with Locked-in Syndrome.

However, upcoming scenes will see the Nightingales realise that Mac has defied the odds and is now well enough to come home.

Although Mac insists that he is a changed man as he begs for his family's forgiveness, it will soon become clear that this is all part of a wider plan.

As Mac has flashbacks of everyone who has wronged him, it's clear that he's out for blood and hasn't actually changed at all.

With Mac continuing to build his strength, James later gets a big shock when he sees his dad back in the village.

Horrified, James offers Sylver McQueen £10,000 to get rid of Mac by any means necessary, but will Sylver agree?

Monday

Aunty Kameela is coming for lunch, so Misbah is determined to prove that her family isn't a shambles. An angry Imran is supposed to be going on a date with Brooke, so Yazz decides to drug him again to calm him down to get them through lunch, but she realises the pills have run out.

Yazz decides to pick up the prescription without her mum's knowledge. The pharmacist becomes suspicious, so how will Yazz explain this one?

Meanwhile, Breda decides to help her son out and play cupid when she spots a bit of chemistry between Mercedes and Sylver.

Elsewhere, Cindy has a new unwelcome houseguest.

Also, Mac has flashbacks of everyone who has wronged him. He's out for blood as he tries to build his strength and he hasn't changed at all.

Tuesday

Imran discovers that Yazz has been drugging him with anxiety pills. He loses his temper and punches her hard in the stomach.

Meanwhile, Breda tells Mercedes that Sylver is in love with her, and it's not too late to call off the wedding if she loves him back.

Elsewhere, James is horrified to find Mac is back in the village. He offers Sylver £10,000 to get rid of him by any means necessary.

Also today, Ant refuses to go to school without Dee Dee, so Ste decides to bring school to them by teaching them a class in hospital. A frustrated Dee Dee throws a tantrum and tries to leave the hospital. The doctors tell them the medication isn't working and she is running out of options. Ste decides that they have to find Tony.

Finally, Harry is continuing to sneak off to hook up with James.

Wednesday

Ste makes a heartfelt video pleading for Tony to come home and posts it on social media.

Later, Ste receives a message from someone claiming to be Tony.

Meanwhile, Dee Dee doesn't recognise Tegan due to her condition, devastating Tegan. The doctor suggests they treat her with a type of chemotherapy.

Elsewhere, Yazz is terrified of Imran and decides not tell Misbah that he punched her, despite that pain she is in. Yazz meets Imran after school hoping he will apologise, but instead he threatens her that if she tells Misbah he will do it again.

Thursday

Brooke has taken the news about what happened to Ollie badly, believing she could have stopped it.

Darren and Nancy try to speak to Brooke about she is feeling, but she runs off to school. They decide to read Brooke's diary to find out how she is.

Meanwhile, it's the first day back at school. When Ollie enters with Imran and Brooke, it is clear everyone is whispering about him. Imran and Ollie decide to bunk off school.

Elsewhere, Diane tells Tegan she doesn't have a say in what treatment Dee Dee will be given, and Diane wants to go through with the chemotherapy. Tegan hires James as her lawyer and tells him she is Dee Dee's biological mother, wanting to have a say in her treatment.

Friday

Imran convinces Ollie not to give up his football dream.

Later, Mandy catches Ollie and Imran bunking off school. Ollie opens up to her about the whispering at school. Mandy tells him that her dad used to abuse her and she understands what he's going through.

Meanwhile, Darren wants to make Brooke a safe space where she can go when she feels stressed, but Nancy doesn't agree. He creates a sensory den for her, equipped with lava lamps, blankets and a beanbag, but Brooke reacts badly to the changes in her room.
