In America 1987, young Hanssen (Harley Viveash), Gaskell (Michael Winder) and Roxanna (Isabella Marshall) meet at university and make a pact to push the boundaries of medicine, no matter what the cost.

But back in the present, Gaskell (Paul McGann) is left to battle with his conscience. With a friend’s life hanging in the balance, Gaskell must question his belief in Project Lazlo. How far will he go to preserve what he values the most?

If they keep on with this storyline much longer I seriously think it's going to make me want to stop watching Holby.

It’s got to be coming to a end soon. Roxanne is definitely on to him. And I think Hanssen is also getting suspicious.

Having read the spoilers in the What's On TV magazine for next week it would seem that Gaskell does something to Roxanna when she confronts him, probably making her the friend who's life in hanging in the balance in this one.
