Exciting news! Kerry Armstrong joins the cast of Neighbours
“It was irresistible!”

https://www.nowtolove.com.au/celebrity/tv/kerry-armstrong-neighbours-2018-50855

Hot off appearances from Magda Szubanski and Debra Lawrance, Neighbours is adding another stellar name to their list of guest star roles – Kerry Armstrong.

"Kerry is a legend of Australian film and television and we are honoured to have her in Neighbours," the show's executive producer, Jason Herbison says.

The award winning actress, most recently seen in hit drama The Wrong Girl, will be arriving to Ramsay Street in October. And her character, Alice Wells, is set to cause quite the stir.

The seemingly sweet nanna is said to have one sensationally devious plan for her new neighbours.

"Alice is a character who pushes every boundary and is a force to be reckoned with," Kerry, 60, teases. "There is a lot of encouragement [from producers] to see who she is and how far she can go."

The actress made history back in 2001 when she received two AACTA awards for separate performances in TV series SeaChange and Mystery Drama film Lantana. She was also recently nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her role as Jennifer in feature film Pawno.

Despite her status as an award-winning actress, Kerry says finding her feet on set took a little time.

"I like being kept on my toes and liked finding out how rusty I was," she recalls.

"I thought oh my god if this was the Wizard of Oz, I'm definitely the Tin Man trying desperately to head towards Toto", she says with a laugh.

Audiences haven't had to wait long to see Kerry back on their screens, after she made her appearance in the jungle on reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! earlier this year.

We can't wait to see Kerry in her exciting new role!

Neighbours airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Eleven.

The latest spoilers mention that Kerry Armstrong’s character, Alice Wells, will become Sonya & Toadie’s live-in-nanny. Apparently Soap World magazine has a story indicating that Alice is actually Andrea’s mother!

SPOILER ALERT!

Nightmare Nanny!
The Rebecchis' prayers for a babysitter are answered... But is Alice the right person for the job?

Hiring the perfect childcare worker is never an easy task for time-poor parents like Sonya and Toadie. Even the simplest of outings can be chaotic, as Sonya finds when she's caught juggling Nell and Hugo during a visit to Harold's. Spontaneously approached by cafe customer Alice Wells (Kerry Armstrong), Sonya is grateful when the stranger is incredibly helpful with the kids - and reveals she's a retired nanny who's new to Erinsborough and would love to amuse the kids while Sonya catches up on work. Initially hesitant about "stranger danger", a desperate Sonya gratefully accepts the offer, oblivious to Alice whispering cryptic remarks to Hugo.

Thrilled by the spick-and-span state of No.30, Sonya and Toadie inquire into Alice's history and, touched by the recent tragedy in her life, check her references and hire her as a live-in-nanny. The world appears to be Sonya and Toadie's oyster but Alice could be more of a shark in the household renowned for its fish nicknames after privately revealing her story is a pack of lies! She's really Andrea Somers' mother! In no time, Alice makes her presence felt around the neighbourhood, getting to know her new employers and making friends with Dipi. She's pleased to win Toadie's admiration for her work while taking the opportunity to drop Andrea's name into conversations with Sonya, and observing her reaction carefully.

Meanwhile Sonya's becoming increasingly unnerved as Halloween nears. Trick-or-treating with Nell, a distraction puts Sonya in a rather vulnerable position when the little one disappears! Frantically searching for her precious "Jellyfish", Sonya naturally panics with every second that passes without any sign of her daughter. Watching the search unfold, Alice is clearly on a mission but is it one to reassure herself that her grandson's in the care of a capable stepmother or is she in Erinsborough to make trouble on Andrea's behalf? Stay tuned...

Neighbours confirms new Fake Dee storyline as her mother arrives on Ramsay Street
Here we go again…

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a868408/neighbours-spoilers-alice-wells-andrea-somers-fake-dee-bliss/

Neighbours delves back into the Fake Dee Bliss storyline next week, as the Rebecchis are befriended by a new character who has a sinister secret.

Show bosses recently announced the casting of SeaChange actress Kerry Armstrong in the role of Alice Wells, a devious new arrival who'll be worming her way into the Rebecchi family.

When Sonya (Eve Morey) struggles to look after both Nell and Hugo at Harold's one afternoon, she's surprised as Alice rushes to her rescue, despite being a complete stranger.

Alice reveals that she's a retired nanny and would be happy to take care of the kids while Sonya gets her work done.

Although Sonya is reluctant to allow someone unfamiliar into her home, she eventually accepts out of desperation and works nearby so she can supervise things.

Much to Sonya's delight, Alice is a natural with the kids and soon lands herself a more permanent position as the Rebecchis' live-in nanny.

What Sonya and Toadie don't realise is that Alice is actually the mother of scheming Andrea Somers, the conwoman who posed as Dee Bliss last year.

Relieved by how well things have gone, Alice coos to Andrea's son Hugo in private and tells him that her scheme has been much easier than she expected. What does she want from the family and is this another masterplan from Andrea?

Speaking about her new role earlier this year, Kerry commented: "Alice is a character who pushes every boundary and is a force to be reckoned with. There is a lot of encouragement [from producers] to see who she is and how far she can go."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours newcomer Alice Wells makes Nell Rebecchi sick in a shocking new storyline
Her scheming intensifies as Sonya and Toadie remain oblivious.

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a869434/neighbours-spoilers-alice-wells-nell-rebecchi-sick/

Neighbours' newest villain Alice Wells makes a shocking move next week as she deliberately makes Nell Rebecchi unwell.

Alice (Kerry Armstrong) has managed to land herself a job as the Rebecchi family's new nanny, hiding the all-important fact that she's the mother of Andrea Somers (aka Fake Dee).

Although Alice was only ever hired on a temporary basis, she's left secretly furious when a place at daycare opens up for Nell (Scarlett Anderson) and she's told that her services are no longer needed.

Toadie (Ryan Moloney) breaks the news to Alice that she's out of a job, but is later forced to reverse his decision when Nell suddenly becomes sick and needs to stay home from care.

The Rebecchis are baffled over Nell's sudden illness, but during a private moment with her grandson Hugo, twisted Alice reveals that she deliberately made Nell sick so that she could stick around for longer.

Later in the week, things continue to go Alice's way when Sonya (Eve Morey) and Toadie consider keeping her on long-term as they're so impressed by her work.

The couple eventually decide to let Nell make her own choice, so Alice bribes Nell with chocolate to make sure she chooses nanny over daycare.

With the path clear to cause even more trouble, Alice continues to spy on Sonya at her AA meetings – keen for as much information as possible to use against her.

After learning that Sonya is wary of taking painkillers for her headache as she's afraid it's a slippery slope for an addict, Alice offers to make her a special home remedy – a nutritious smoothie.

Sonya gratefully accepts, unaware Alice is adding painkillers to the mix. Could Alice's sneaky behaviour have terrible consequences?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, November 6, Wednesday, November 7 and Thursday, November 8 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours hints at Alice Wells's comeuppance as Toadie searches for Andrea's mother
Will he discover the truth?

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a870400/neighbours-spoilers-alice-wells-comeuppance/

Neighbours offers the first hints at a downfall for Alice Wells next week as Toadie Rebecchi unknowingly stumbles across a clue to her identity.

Alice (Kerry Armstrong), who's the mother of Andrea Somers, has wormed her way in with the Rebecchi family by landing herself a new job as Nell's nanny.

Next week's episodes see Alice continue to spike Sonya's food with painkillers as part of a long-term plan to destroy her marriage to Toadie (Ryan Moloney).

However, just when it seems like the path is clear for Alice to cause more chaos, there's a spanner in the works when Toadie decides to track down Andrea's mother.

Toadie comes up with the idea in preparation for Andrea being released from the psychiatric facility, unaware that her mum is already under all of their noses.

When Toadie calls Andrea's daughter Willow for some tips, he discovers that her gran is a seasoned con artist who's operated under many names over the years.

Armed with a list of potential names, Toadie enlists Piper Willis's help to dig further. Is it only a matter of time before the truth is revealed?

Let's hope so, as when Alice starts gently spreading suspicions that Sonya is drinking again, it's clear that her lies could start to take a major toll on the Rebecchis' marriage if things don't change soon...

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, November 21 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

All they'd have to do is talk to each other, but they don't.

Yashvi talk to her parents about the advice Alice gave her (re: selling the ring).
Dipi and Shane talk to Toadie about the lack of cleaning she did compared to the standards they have.
Toadie talk to Nel about hiding under the house - secret or not, she's bound to say 'Aunty Alice told me to' or 'Aunty Alice said it's a secret..'.
Karl should have said more about how she was in the pub with him.

All these things would raise eyebrows - but then again, they did hire her after knowing her for an afternoon.

I've just posted in a few threads and it feels like I'm being picky.. but I write for a living and Neighbours at the moment really tests my patience. You have to accept so many illogical things and make several leaps of faith to get from A to B in the storyline.

That says, to me at least, that the storylines are wrong - for the lack of a better term.

They aren't being constructed very well, and it seems that they've upped the guest appearances - like the Simpsons where characters are created for these guests rather than already having characters to fit into a story and then finding someone to play them.

Oh well. *shrugs shoulders*

Yeh they have, but that was it. They just accept the answer and move on. No follow ups.

I am not asking for it to be logical all the way, but at least make a bit of sense. They create holes in the plot to prolong the storylines. Classic soap opera, I guess, but it's worse when the character is a guest and they turn a - for example - 1 week storyline into a 4 week storyline by making you ignore something early on that would bring it all crashing down. Makes everyone involved look like idiots.

They did the same thing to prolong the Finn storyline - Dipi never spoke to Sheila or Mark about seeing Finn, the tea box was conveniently placed in the perfect location to see everything, the camera somehow never ran out of power, Finn somehow managed to magically source identical outfits to Elly's within a day, Karl never met Patrick once at work.

I don't think it makes the characters look like idiots really. It's often how things happen in real life. Most fiction stories need to last quite a long time. It spoils it when it's over too soon IMO, perhaps with a few exceptions.

Neighbours confirms new Fake Dee setback as evil Heather Schilling returns
Will Heather be a thorn in her daughter's side?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a27863294/neighbours-spoilers-fake-dee-heather-schilling-returns/

Neighbours has confirmed details of a dramatic return storyline for Fake Dee's mum Heather Schilling.

Kerry Armstrong has reprised her role as Heather as part of the ongoing Dee saga and will be seen again from next week.

Viewers last saw Heather at the end of 2018, when she fled from Erinsborough after a failed attempt to murder Sonya Rebecchi.

More recently, Fake Dee – aka Andrea Somers – has offered to help track down Heather so that she pays for her crimes. In reality, she's hiding the fact that she's still in cahoots with her menacing mother.

Next week's episodes see Heather leave Andrea (Madeleine West) wrong-footed by turning up at her apartment in Geelong without warning.

Heather insists that she needs Andrea's help, as she has nowhere else to go and is still on the run from the police. Andrea still gives her a frosty reception, insisting that it's way too risky for them to be seen together.

Tensions grow when Heather discovers that Andrea is spreading lies about how she supposedly mistreated her when she was younger.

Andrea insists that it's all part of her plan, but a hurt Heather still disapproves of her sly tactics.

In the end, Andrea relents by promising that Heather can stay with her for a while – on one condition.

Andrea makes Heather promise that she'll stay out of sight and not ruin anything, but Heather clearly has other ideas when she starts making secret trips to Erinsborough. Could this ruin Andrea's plans?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, June 17 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours reveals Heather Schilling's fate in dramatic scenes
Game over?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28233184/neighbours-spoilers-heather-schilling-fate/

Note: This article contains spoilers for the Dee storyline, which some readers may prefer to avoid.

Neighbours finally delivers justice for Sonya Rebecchi next week as evil Heather Schilling is arrested.

Heather (Kerry Armstrong) is currently on the run and has managed to avoid punishment for her shocking attempt to murder Sonya by poisoning her last year.

Next week's episodes see Heather finally slip up, with a little help from the real Dee Bliss (Madeleine West).

Upcoming scenes see Dee and her doppelganger Andrea Somers come face-to-face for the first time in Byron Bay, leading to a clifftop showdown between the two women.

A high-stakes fight leads to Dee being pushed off the cliff, while shameless Andrea heads back to Erinsborough to be with Toadie.

The good news for Dee is that she is pulled from the water by Heather, who drags her back to her motel.

Dee is horrified to realise who Heather is – and that Andrea now plans to win back Toadie by impersonating her for a second time.

Playing the schemers at their own game, Dee manages to convince Heather that she is Andrea and they need to get back to Erinsborough, because Dee is there with Toadie.

When the real Dee returns to Ramsay Street after 16 years away, she races straight to Toadie's door to expose Andrea as a fraud.

Suddenly exposed, Heather is spotted by Mark Brennan and he immediately arrests her for her crimes. Is her reign of terror finally over?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
