Ted receives a shock in Joyce's last letter
What's her final surprise?
Ted arranges a chess match for Bernadette against Karl, who's a fearsome opponent. Bernadette is so nervous that she's no match for Karl in the early stages, but after some kind words from Ted and Tiffany, she later gets the confidence to win the game.
Later on, Ted clutches his chest in pain after the eventful day, but he dismisses it as heartburn. Not long afterwards, Ted and Bernadette read the final letter from Joyce and receive a big surprise. They find tickets to Australia inside – but will that be the only shock?
Meanwhile, Tiffany catches Jagger's eye while handing out leaflets for the restaurant.
Elsewhere, Masood and Kathy come close to kissing as they prepare for the launch of Walford East.
Also today, Jay speaks to Honey and realises that Billy has no chance of repairing his relationship with her, but he still encourages Billy to give it a try.
Finally, Denise tries to support a grieving Kush when he hits the bottle.
Tuesday
Ian's launch event goes horribly wrong
How will he react to Kathy and Masood's chemistry?
Ian's big launch day gets off to a bad start when a Walford Gazette reporter arrives to cover the event and he recognises her from a previous argument. Things only get worse when a grieving Kush enjoys too many of the free drinks and blurts out that Kim is pregnant in front of everyone.
The shocks keep coming for Ian when he catches Kathy and Masood kissing in the kitchen. After the event descends into further chaos, a dejected Ian decides that Kathy and Masood are to blame for everything.
Meanwhile, Sonia takes Ted to A&E after he experiences more chest pain. Ted later tells everyone that he received the all-clear, but he's actually been given medication and a leaflet for angina.
Elsewhere, Tiffany drinks booze in front of Jagger, wanting to impress him when he introduces her to the gang.
Also today, Billy's welcome dinner for Honey ends in disaster.
Thursday
Ian evicts Kathy in a shocking move
Are the Beales being torn apart?
Ian feels betrayed over Kathy and Masood's secret romantic connection, so he takes drastic action to get revenge against Masood.
Later, Ian jumps to the wrong conclusion when he sees the note that's attached to a delivery at the Beale house. Full of anger, he tells Kathy to pack her bags and move out.
Meanwhile, Ted wants to make sure that his loved ones will all be okay when he takes his trip. He sets up a tab at the pub for Patrick and the Taylors, as well as giving Bernadette a wad of cash. Later, Patrick realises something isn't right with Ted's behaviour and confronts him over what's going on.
Elsewhere, Kush is desperate to talk to Martin about last night.
Also today, Tiffany is delighted when Jagger defends her to some troublesome girls in the gang.
Finally, after a dental appointment, Honey is surprised when the dentist texts her and invites her to dinner.
Friday
Concern mounts for Ted after a worrying clue
What's happened?
Karen decides to support Bernadette at her next chess match, hoping it'll get her in Ted's good books since he's handing out money left, right and centre at the moment.
Later, once the match has started, Karen and Keegan spot a number of missed calls from Ted on Bernadette's phone. What's wrong with him?
Meanwhile, Kathy manages to get Ian to talk and they have a big heart-to-heart. How will Kathy feel when she realises how hurt Ian is?
Elsewhere, as Kush tries to find the right moment to tell Denise something, Carmel realises that he's hiding something.
Also, Honey lies to Billy about her plans and heads out on a date.
Finally, Whitney warns Tiffany that she can't see Jagger again as he's 19, but Jagger suggests he should meet Whitney to win her round. He also gives Tiffany a phone so she can call him whenever she wants.
