Colby's life is on the line when he's dramatically taken hostage by the vengeful Ebony in Home And Away this week.

Colby (Tim Franklin) is responsible for the death of Ebony's (Cariba Heine) brother Boyd, who he shot while in the line of duty as a Police Officer.

Boyd later lost his life in hospital when doctors were unable to save him. His sister vowed to take revenge on those responsible, and has been terrorising Summer Bay ever since.

Having now fallen straight into her trap, Colby finds himself in a terrifying situation. Is this the end for the Summer Bay cop?

Colby has dedicated his life to searching for his missing sister, Bella. Desperate to find her, he was quick to believe Ebony's lies. But he's played into her hands.

"When someone's in that position, if you feed them anything, they're so vulnerable to influence," Tim, 28, tells TV WEEK. "He would sacrifice anything to get to Bella."

Having ignored warnings from Jasmine (Sam Frost) and Robbo (Jake Ryan), Colby now finds himself trapped. He's at Ebony's mercy.

Realising escape is impossible, the young police officer tries to talk his way out. But he makes what could be a fatal mistake when he inadvertently brings up the death of her brother Boyd.

An enraged Ebony begins to pour petrol under the door, intending to burn him alive.

"She's willing to do anything to make Colby feel the same pain – if not greater pain – that he brought to her and her family," Tim says.

Things are looking grim as Ebony grabs her lighter, ready to set the place alight. She stalls, however, when Robbo arrives and tries to talk her out of it.

But Ebony blames Robbo for her mother's death and is unconvinced.

Will he be able to save Colby?

Home and Away airs Monday to Thursday, 7pm, on Channel Seven.
