Big Brother's twist on this week's nominations led Derek to ponder the nature of the entire process.
The professional analyst suggested that they should quit "agonising" over the vote-offs; instead putting every housemate up for the chop every single week.
"I... believe that the ultimate authority should lie with the British public," he declared.
Vanessa, meanwhile, brought fate into the equation. "What everyone's got to remember is that we've all got a single time to leave in this house which is destined," she said. "So I'm gonna start preparing myself to leave this week."
Makosi pointed out that the nominations twist itself would not be the "highlight" for viewers. They, she argued, would be more interested in everyone's reaction to the twist.
"I think it's lovely," said Derek, laughing. "I think we're all behaving like turkeys voting for an early Christmas."
