DOES Corrie need another Mad Dog? They've already got Tracy Barlow. Marvin "Mad Dog" Maddocks will take on Ashley Peacock in the Street's barmy battle of the butchers.

Is this wise? Ash sounds like he's taken a few too many blows beneath the belt as it is. Besides, butchers shouldn't fight. They cut too easily.

Ashley has no option, though. He has to box because Fat Fred can't. (No bad taste ring jokes please).

Fred got knocked sparko while sparring with Diggory. The big baker gave him a dough-boy. And probably a nasty cold, judging by the way his arms were flailing around like windmills in a gale. It was the most one-sided bout since Bushell v Honeyghan 1986.

But it was farcical rather than funny, and not in a good way. After an amazing run, the Street's charms are sadly wearing thin. Do you care about this, or Cropper's contraption, Liz's love life, the terrible twins, or Scooter and the koi carp?

The Shelley storyline feels more worn-out than her stair carpet.

Thank gawd for Blanche, and Danny's affair. The sooner Charlie swoops on Violet the better.

Yeah I was suprised when I read his review of Corrie he constantly has good things to say about the soap but this was a turn up for the books, mind you it needed a roasting, it was awful last week.
