Time for a soap blast from the past, as former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson has nabbed herself a role in Hollyoaks.
The actress played Katy Harris on Corrie from 2002 to 2005, where she (the character, we mean) had a relationship with a man 20 years older than her, and then killed her father after he lied to make her get an abortion.

It has been reported in The Sun that her role on the Channel 4 soap will be a "decent part" but there are no further details beyond that. Seeing as this is Hollyoaks though, her character will get a glamorous entrance and probably end up sleeping with someone she shouldn't.
The casting news comes a day after it has been reported that Hudson has split with actor Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs on Corrie.
"I can confirm that Al and I are in the process of divorcing," Hudson said through her agent. "We remain friends and devoted Mummy and Daddy to our daughter Sienna."

As well as Corrie and her upcoming Hollyoaks role, Hudson has also appeared in Doctors. Her performance as Rhiannon Davis actually won her the Villain of the Year Award at the 2017 British Soap Awards.
