Monday

After fearing his secret is out, Bob subtly tries to find out what Brenda knows. Brenda is burning with betrayal, but pretends she's none the wiser.

Later, Laurel is stung that Bob thinks she's imagining things, so she tells him to leave and takes out a bottle of whiskey. Will she succumb to the drink?

Meanwhile, Jimmy is defiant as he explains to Joe that Robert works for him. Joe gives Robert a folder of work to do and Robert bites down contempt as Joe looks forward to making his life a misery.

Elsewhere, Bernice and Nicola are horrified to hear animal noises from upstairs. Rodney comes down in a robe and introduces his girlfriend Misty.

Also today, during Frank's birthday meal, Tracy slips out for more wine but catches a girl, Lara, spray painting an abusive message outside Farrer's Barn. But who is Lara and why is Tracy rattled by her encounter?


Tuesday

Hour-long episode

Tracy is nervous as she heads off for Phil's sentencing and is surprised at Charity's offer of support when she reveals that he's been sentenced. However, Charity soon turns cold and Vanessa questions her behaviour.

Charity begins to open up about her past and Vanessa is horrified by what she hears. What has Charity been hiding?

Meanwhile, Ross is tense as he tries to get more painkillers and spots a packet of pills amongst Rebecca's things.

Elsewhere, the penny drops for Laurel when the police explain that the items purchased on her card were all sent to the cafe.

Also today, Jimmy's lies catch up with him.


Wednesday

Vanessa takes matters into her own hands, but Charity regrets trusting her with the secret.

Meanwhile, Paddy is thrilled when Chas asks him to come to her first pregnancy scan. He's unsure how best to help when she gets another wave of nausea.

Elsewhere, Ross grows desperate.


Thursday (1)

Rhona finds Ross's empty pill packet. When she checks the prescription, she is concerned.

Ross is thrown as Rhona questions him about taking too many painkillers and his frustration turns to anger when he demands she leaves, but how will he react when he realises she's taken away his painkillers?

Meanwhile, Liv admits to Gerry that she's worried about the court case next week, and he offers her some supportive words of encouragement. She receives a message on her phone and quietly slips out.

Elsewhere, is it all over for Vanessa and Charity?

Also, Chas is at breaking point.

I've really got no idea, I forgot about Joe already being investigated. I could be wrong but I think Joe also has evidence of Jimmy stealing equipment to use for the the repair of the Dingle hell hole aswell.

They're just using Joe to make other vile characters like Robert and Debbie look like the good guys. I think and hope that he'll only be here for a short stint. I'd rather the Tate's were left in the past so IM can't get his hands on them.

Joe is coming off as a one-trick pony. Revenge is his only past time, and he doesn't even do that well. He could have been a really good character if the writers knew what to do with him.

Emmerdale's Tracy Metcalfe receives a nasty shock next week as she's targeted by a mystery newcomer.

Tracy (Amy Walsh) faces fresh turmoil in the build-up to Phil Webb's sentencing hearing, just when she thought that her ordeal was over.

Tracy recently reported Phil to the police after he callously tried to blackmail her over her past as a prostitute.

Her bravery later led to other women coming forward to report similar experiences with Phil, which pressured him into pleading guilty.

Next week's episodes see the experience come back to haunt Tracy when she receives a poison pen letter, which leaves her shaken and furious.

Things get even worse when Tracy pops out of her dad Frank's birthday meal for a moment and catches a young girl spray-painting an abusive message.

The new arrival, called Lara, has branded Tracy a "lying whore" – suggesting that she's defending sleazy Phil.

Not really, if the police have it as fraud then Laurel will get reimbursed the money by the bank anyway and Brenda will have a criminal record. Not the best plan for revenge, I can think of better!

I agree with the last bit, Emma Atkins is brilliant but I just don't like Charity and Vanessa together. I get what they're trying to do, pairing the superbitch with the moral vet to show a more human side to her but it just seems too forced to me.

They are growing on me as a couple
