Neighbours bosses have announced that Jane Harris – aka Plain Jane Superbrain – is making an exciting return to the Aussie soap.
Annie Jones has reprised the role for the first time since 2005, when she appeared briefly in the show's 20th anniversary celebrations.
Jane was a regular on Neighbours between 1986 and 1989 and was a close friend of Kylie Minogue's iconic character Charlene Mitchell.
Originally portrayed as a nerdy bookworm – which earned her the 'Plain Jane' nickname on screen – the popular Erinsborough resident later underwent a glamorous makeover.

Neighbours chiefs have now teased that Jane has some unfinished business on Ramsay Street and will be heading back with a mission to rectify the past.
This is sure to mean crossing paths with Paul Robinson, the only regular character left who has history with Jane.
Speaking about her shock comeback, Annie explained: "I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to return to Neighbours. As an actor, the best thing you can be is a working actor.
"I've done a lot of guest roles but usually very short-lived, so this has been lovely to come back for an extended period and really get my teeth into a part."
Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul, added: "This is going to sound terribly gushy, Annie is just the same as she was on the show 30 years ago – kind, funny and just a beautiful person to be around. I've loved having her back on set."
Neighbours fans will see Jane make her return in early April.
Show producer Jason Herbison commented: "Annie is a beloved star from the golden era of Neighbours and we are honoured to have her back on the show. She had a very interesting take on what her character Jane might be up to nowadays and we incorporated it into the storyline. There's warmth and nostalgia, yet also a very fascinating character journey."
Greg Barnett, Channel 5's Commissioning Editor of Factual Entertainment added: "Neighbours fans across the world will be absolutely thrilled to hear that Plain Jane Superbrain is coming back to their screens. We're so pleased that Annie Jones has returned to the show and can't wait for our viewers to find out why Jane is back."

Luv Annie Jones. It will be great to see her back for a little while.
This is the TV Week story on her return:
'Being Famous Is Frightening
Neighbours star Annie Jones Opens Up About An Unsettling Side Of Fame.
She starred in Neighbours at the height of its popularity. But far from relishing being in the spotlight, actress Annie Jones sometimes found it rather terrifying.
"It was a little scary," Annie, 51, tells TV WEEK. "It was almost like Beatlemania, especially when we did a trip to London. It was just insane - quite frightening."
Now, the TV WEEK Logie Award-winning actress, who played Jane Harris in the iconic series from 1986 to 1989, is returning to the soap in an extended guest role.
It marks something of a comeback for Annie, who, apart from some small guest roles, has been mostly absent from our screens.
"I've had quite a bit of time away from full-on work because I was a carer for my mother, who had Alzheimer's," she explains.
Annie approached Neighbours about returning to the show. She even pitched some story ideas to the producers for Jane's return to Erinsborough.
"I did have a couple of suggestions, but I've been sworn to secrecy," Annie teases. "I'm not allowed to say a word."
What Annie can tell us is that her character has changed a lot since her "Plain Jane Superbrain" days in the late 1980s.
"Jane has been looking after Mrs Mangel [who was played by the late Vivean Gray] in London for the past 28 years," she says.
"So a lot of Mrs Mangel's views and attitudes have been rubbed off on Jane. She's kind of absorbed that, because she's been locked away in 'Mrs Mangel's World' for so long."

Neighbours: first look at Plain Jane Superbrain’s return.
What brings Mrs Mangel's granddaughter back to Erinsborough?
http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2018-03-26/neighbours-first-look-at-plain-jane-superbrains-return/
Neighbours has released the first pictures of fan favourite Jane Harris’s return to Ramsay Street, as she catches newcomer Chloe Brennan in a very compromising position in the Rebecchis’ swimming pool. What would Mrs Mangel say?
Chloe is busy entertaining Lassiters employee Brandon Danker as she tries to wangle a job at the hotel complex using her powers of seduction. She’s put the guy down as a fake referee on her somewhat-exaggerated CV, but plans to charm him into going along with her fraud by inviting him to the Rebecchi spa when Mishti lets slip the house will be empty for a while.
As the minxy Ms Brennan turns up the passion in the pool, the canoodling couple are confronted by an unexpected visitor – a prim and proper middle-aged woman who is not at all impressed with what she sees.
Plain Jane Superbrain, as she was known back in the day during her original Neighbours stint from 1986-1989, was a former resident of Number 32, but why she’s back after all this time remains a closely-guarded secret for now.
Why has Jane suddenly reappeared? And judging by her outfit, what on earth happened to her legendary makeover where she ditched the glasses? She’s looking pretty daggy these days…
Neighbours airs Jane’s return on Friday 6 April at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Digital Spy article with a bit of background on Jane Harris, for those unfamiliar with her past on Ramsay Street:
Neighbours: Who is Plain Jane Superbrain? 6 things you need to know about the classic character.
A Ramsay Street icon returns! But why all the fuss?
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/feature/a854126/neighbours-who-is-plain-jane-superbrain/
Much excitement surrounds the return of Jane Harris to Neighbours after almost 30 years today (bar a cameo in 2005). The character was around in the soap's golden Scott and Charlene era of the late 1980s, when Neighbours started to really catch on in the UK – so for nostalgic viewers of a certain age it's the next best thing to Kylie making a comeback. Kind of.
If you've forgotten what geek-turned-glamourpuss 'Plain' Jane got up to during her original stint, or you don't have the foggiest who this middle-aged woman in unflattering specs is, here's a quick recap on the life story of a true Ramsay Street legend.
1. She had the most famous makeover in TV history
Circa 1986, swotty schoolgirl Jane moved in with her gossiping gran Mrs Mangel when her parents went to live it up in Hong Kong. She was not-very-affectionately nicknamed Plain Jane Superbrain because of her dowdy dress sense and uncool academic prowess, but trendy tomboy Charlene Mitchell befriended the blonde and helped give her a makeover to entice classroom spunk Mike Young (one Guy Pearce – whatever happened to him?).
Ditching the glasses, trowelling on the make-up and using an entire can of hairspray, Jane went from daggy dork to delectable diva. Much more glam than Charlene's greasy mechanic vibe, no?
2. She was Scott and Charlene's bridesmaid
Angry Anderson starts warbling, the soft focus lens comes on, Madge dabs her tears – we've all seen Scott and Charlene's iconic wedding clip a zillion times, and the bride's BFF Jane was there as bridesmaid alongside the groom's little sister Lucy.
Sporting a shiny, and possibly flammable, peach dress, nothing screams '80s fashion like Jane's garish gown.
3. She was a top model
Working as Paul Robinson's secretary at Lassiters, an impromptu snap of Jane doing a Marilyn Monroe-style dress twirl pose caught the eye of the big bosses who made Jane the face of a major ad campaign, dubbing her the 'Lassiters Girl' and launching a modelling career.
But our Jane was about brains as well as beauty, and her job at Lassiters saw her climb the corporate ladder to success as a businesswoman.
4. Her mum was a total horror
A few years after abandoning Jane without a second thought, her nasty mum Amanda came to visit and we got an insight into Jane's unhappy childhood. Jealous of her meek daughter's makeover and new-found confidence, glamorous but ageing Amanda encouraged Jane to return to her old ugly-duckling image so she'd get all the attention.
Turns out she was only back in Erinsborough because she'd fled Hong Kong after committing fraud, so Jane and Mrs M sent the poisonous parent packing.
5. She was a maneater
THAT makeover made sweet Jane instantly irresistible to the local menfolk, and she racked up quite a few conquests in her time. Dreamy Mike was her first love, despite Mrs Mangel's initial disapproval, but his jealousy over other fellas gawping at her (can you blame them?) and the fact he cheated (was he mad?) eventually caused them to drift apart.
Scandalously, Jane and Scott kissed during a brief spark of attraction which almost ended his marriage to Charlene, but they put it behind them when she threatened to leave town to escape the shame.
Jane also fell for wealthy older guy Mark Granger, but their engagement was short-lived thanks to interference from his horrible mum, who made Mrs Mangel look like Susan Kennedy. Which brings us to her last suitor and exit from Erinsborough…
6. She chose her gran over a guy
In 1989, Jane inexplicably fell for widowed neighbour Des Clarke, who was grieving over the loss of wife Daphne in a car crash and struggling as a single parent to young son Jamie. To put the randomness of this age-gap romance into contemporary context, imagine if Xanthe suddenly got off with Toadie – yep, that's as icky as this was.
Jane and Des got engaged, but news that Mrs Mangel, who had relocated to the UK by this time, had suffered a heart attack caused her to drop everything to be at her grandmother's side. She promised Des she'd return for their wedding but it never happened and she settled in England to care for her dear old Nan.
Apparently, Mrs Mangel has tasked Jane with a mission in her old neighbourhood to clear up some unfinished business – did she leave something behind all those years ago?
divorced with 2 kids, will they be introduced?

Neighbours reveals Jane Harris's big secret after a horror accident.
Shane and Dipi are shocked by what she's been hiding.
Neighbours finally exposes Jane Harris's secret next week as her covert behaviour leads to a shock accident.
Jane (Annie Jones) has harboured a secret interest in Number 32 – her old home – ever since she arrived back on Ramsay Street earlier this month.
Next week's episodes see Jane continue to scheme as she hatches a plan to get Shane Rebecchi and his family out of the house for a while.
Jane convinces Dipi that she should enter her whole family into the Face of Lassiters competition, knowing that it'll keep them distracted for a few hours.
Once the family are out, Jane seizes this opportunity by digging up their garden as soon as their backs are turned.
Unfortunately, Jane's sneaky behaviour comes at a cost as she accidentally strikes a cable from the garden lights and receives a severe electric shock.
Thrown to the ground by the force of the electricity, Jane is knocked unconscious and lies alone until Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) arrives by chance.
Although Karl manages to revive Jane, she's left with some major explaining to do when Shane and Dipi arrive home and demand an explanation.
Finally telling them everything, Jane reveals that she's been looking for some stamps that once belonged to her gran, Mrs Mangel.
The stamps are very valuable and Jane needs to find and sell them so that she can afford to put her nan into care.
Although Shane and Dipi aren't impressed by all the lies and secrecy, they do eventually take pity on Jane and suggest that they could all team up to find the stamps together. Will Jane find what she's looking for?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours confirms a sad death as Plain Jane Superbrain leaves again.
She receives the news that Mrs Mangel has passed away.
Neighbours waves goodbye to Jane Harris again next week as her guest stint comes to an end.
Actress Annie Jones has recently reappeared on the Aussie soap, reprising the role of Jane more than 30 years after her Ramsay Street debut.
The popular character's final week on our screens will see Neighbours confirm a sad death, as Jane receives the news that her grandmother Mrs Mangel has passed away.
Viewers know that Jane has been living with Mrs Mangel in London for many years. In real life, Vivean Gray – who played the unforgettable Mrs Mangel in the '80s – died in 2016 at the age of 92.
Early next week, Jane spends time with Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and they both surprise themselves by opening up to each other.
Jane admits that she feels resentful over having to put her life on hold to look after her nan. Although she feels like she has a weight off her shoulders after making the difficult confession, Jane soon receives the terrible news that Mrs Mangel has passed away.
Jane feels particularly guilty that her nan passed while she was half way around the world and makes immediate arrangements to go home for the funeral.
Before Jane goes, there's a touching moment when Paul gives her the painting of Mrs Mangel from the hotel lobby as a gift.
When the picture is taken out of its frame ready for transport, there's a surprise discovery as a book of valuable stamps is found inside – exactly the thing that Jane came to Ramsay Street hoping to track down.
Now confident that she has some extra money to set her up as she starts living her life again, Jane says a bittersweet goodbye to Erinsborough – with Paul expressing hopes that she'll be back for another visit soon. Could we see Plain Jane Superbrain back again?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours return for Plain Jane Superbrain in new romance storyline
Annie Jones is back on screen as Jane Harris next week.
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a870818/neighbours-spoilers-plain-jane-superbrain-returns-again/
Neighbours brings back Jane Harris again next week as Paul Robinson's family try to play matchmaker.
Annie Jones has reprised her role as Plain Jane Superbrain for another stint, which will explore her possible romantic connection with Paul.
Viewers have recently seen Paul (Stefan Dennis) at war with his own family, disapproving of his daughter Amy's relationship with Gary Canning and struggling to see his son Leo romancing Terese Willis.
Next week's episodes see Amy, Leo and Terese all try to distract Paul from his heartbreak by inviting Jane back to Erinsborough.
Jane thinks that she's back in the area on business, but Paul's loved ones are hoping to get them together. Sure enough, when there's a convenient 'electrical problem' in her Lassiters hotel room, Jane is told that she'll have to stay in Paul's penthouse instead.
Although Paul tries his best to make Jane feel welcome, he later discovers that the 'electrical problem' is non-existent and confronts Terese for trying to manipulate him.
Amy then tries to talk her dad around, pointing out that Jane is a good woman who could pull him from his destructive path of revenge.
Although Paul initially resists the temptation to take his friendship with Jane further, he later reconsiders as he loses hope that Terese will ever take him back.
Could Paul and Jane become Erinsborough's next couple?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, November 26 and Tuesday, November 27 at 12.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours feud ahead as Susan Kennedy and Jane Harris become enemies
It's all change at Erinsborough High.
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a871318/neighbours-spoilers-susan-kennedy-jane-harris-feud/
Neighbours has a new feud on the way as Jane Harris makes an enemy of Susan Kennedy.
Jane (Annie Jones) is about to take over as the principal of Erinsborough High when Susan is suspended over her attempted murder charges.
Although Susan (Jackie Woodburne) isn't too surprised that her career is hanging in the balance after what she did to Finn Kelly, she is pretty shocked when Jane starts making some major changes at the school in her absence.
Jane is quick to make her mark by implementing a strict new rule which states that the Erinsborough High staff won't be allowed off-site during the school day. She also comes up with a new dress code, concerned that Elly Conway's work outfits are unprofessional.
Susan can't resist sticking her nose in by branding Jane's rules old-fashioned, but Jane hits back by insisting that she's not interested in the opinions of an ex-principal who's facing attempted murder charges. Ouch.
The drama at Erinsborough High intensifies further when Jane is told that she needs to get rid of one staff member.
Jane's decision is made easier when Elly (Jodi Anasta) breaks the rule about staying on site by sneaking off to see her sister Bea Nilsson at the garage.
Susan is shocked when she hears about Elly's sacking and once again confronts Jane over the changes she's making at the school.
Although Susan is keen to point out that her suspension will only be temporary, Jane hints that she might be sticking around in the principal role on a long-term basis.
Jane's warnings leave Susan irritated and she becomes more determined than ever to fight her charges and get back to work. But will that be easier said than done?

Neighbours horror for Jane Harris as she's caught having sex with Paul Robinson at the school
But there's an explanation for her out-of-character behaviour.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a25448333/neighbours-spoilers-paul-robinson-jane-harris-sex-scene/
Neighbours returnee Jane Harris is left mortified next week as she's caught in a compromising position with Paul Robinson at Erinsborough High.
Jane (Annie Jones) has proven herself as a force to be reckoned with since taking over as the school's principal, introducing stricter rules and sacking Elly Conway.
Despite this, Jane can't resist breaking the rules herself when a mix-up sees her unknowingly consume some of Dipi Rebecchi's aphrodisiac tea.
With the effects of "Full Salute" taking hold, amorous Jane propositions Paul (Stefan Dennis) on school grounds after he arrives to walk her home.
Kirsha Rebecchi is responsible for accidentally giving Jane the tea, so when she realises her mistake, she tips off Dipi about what's happened.
The mother-daughter duo race down to the school after hours to address the mix-up, bumping into Susan and Elly along the way.
Elly has been clearing out her desk and decides to investigate when she hears a noise coming from the classroom.
Elly is shocked by what she discovers inside, while Jane is mortified to be caught in the act with Paul.
The next day, Jane feels angry, upset and ashamed when she's filled in on the reality of the situation, hearing that her out-of-character behaviour was because of the tea.
Paul is also taken aback by the news, fearing that Jane's passionate encounter with him wasn't real.
Fortunately, Jane later reconsiders her stuffy attitude towards the situation and assures Paul that she doesn't regret taking their relationship to the next level.
With Christmas approaching, is their romance getting stronger than ever?

Neighbours' Jane Harris breaks down after her latest return to Erinsborough
Has she been conned?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30741569/neighbours-spoilers-jane-harris-breaks-down/
Neighbours has revealed the first official details of Jane Harris's return storyline.
Jane (Annie Jones) is among a collection of fan favourites who'll be making comebacks as part of the show's 35th anniversary celebrations in the coming weeks.
Viewers will see Jane reappear in Erinsborough on Monday, February 10 – much to the surprise of Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou).
Jane is initially vague about her reasons for being back in town, which leaves Terese curious about her intentions.
Although not as intrigued as his wife is, Paul concedes that Jane isn't her usual self – she seems brighter, perkier and has a definite spring in her step.
Terese later invites Jane out for a coffee in the hope of finding out more. Although Jane still doesn't give much away, the conversation does enough to set Terese's mind at rest, as Jane clearly has no ulterior motives for being back.
All eventually becomes clear to viewers when Jane later breaks down over Richard – her new online lover, who has failed to turn up for a planned meeting.
After being stood up for a date at The Waterhole, Jane heads back to her hotel room and bursts into tears.
A few days later, Jane confides in Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal), who puts the pieces of the puzzle together and soon realises that 'Richard' may be an online con artist.
Dipi urges Jane to accept the possibility that she has been scammed after sending money to Richard, but she stubbornly refuses to believe it.
In desperate need of cash, Jane asks Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) for a job at the school. Susan can only offer a junior position and is surprised at Jane's eagerness to take it.
Watching all of this unfold, concerned Dipi vows to put Jane out of her misery, looking up 'Richard' herself on the internet and making a shocking discovery in the process…
Neighbours airs Jane's return on Monday, February 10 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Although her return to Erinsborough didn't get off to the best start, Neighbours' Jane Harris is set to make a surprising discovery after falling victim to an online scam.
As part of the soap's 35th anniversary celebrations, actress Annie Jones returns to Ramsay Street this week, only for her character to be left devastated when she is stood up by her new online lover, Richard.
After confiding in Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal), Jane is forced to come to terms with the idea that 'Richard' may actually be a con artist who is using her for her money.
In scenes set to air later this month, Jane and Dipi begin an amateur investigation to find out who 'Richard' really is – but their detective work looks likely to land them in trouble.
When a dinner with Paul, Terese, and Lucy leads Jane to confront the truth about her relationship with Richard once more, she ramps up the hunt for her catfish only for it to lead to an unexpected suspect at Erinsborough High.
After taking up a job at the school, Jane discovers a love poem that has fallen out of student Richie Amblin's bag, raising her suspicions that Richie might be the real person behind 'Richard'.
When Richie reacts uncomfortably to questions about his personal life, Jane decides to put the schoolboy in detention so the pair can spend more time together. Will Jane's theory about 'Richard' be confirmed?

Neighbours fans noticed a familiar face in today's episode (February 14) of the Australian soap.
As part of her return storyline, Jane Harris (Annie Jones) was seen breaking down over her new online lover Richard, who stood her up on a date.
A few days later, Jane confided in Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal), who worked out that 'Richard' was most likely an online con artist, and not a real person.
Dipi urged Jane to accept the possibility that she has been scammed after sending money to Richard, but she stubbornly refused to believe it.
Determined to prove Richard is a catfish, Dipi later found his profile picture on the internet, realising that it was a stock photo.
However, the guy in the stock photo was Jason Herbison, the executive producer of Neighbours – a fun little Easter Egg for the fans, which they were keen to point out.
Elsewhere, former Neighbours star Margot Robbie recently revealed that the soap's bosses refused to kill off her character Donna Freedman when she asked to leave.
Speaking on the YouTube show Hot Ones, she said: "They said no because, you know, 'If things don't work out in America, we want you to be able to come back and play the role again'. So, my character also moved to America, incidentally."

Neighbours is bringing back Jane Harris — for good, this time!
Fresh off her guest stint for the Aussie soap's 35th anniversary earlier this year, classic cast member Annie Jones has confirmed she will be rejoining the cast of Neighbours on a full-time basis.
This time, the Superbrain will be bringing along her daughter Nicolette Stone, to be played by The Verge rising star Charlotte Chimes.
Jane will return to Erinsborough under tense circumstances as she reunites with Nicolette following an estrangement over her daughter coming out as a lesbian when she was a teenager.
The Superbrain is also newly-single, as her relationship with classic character Des Clarke (Paul Keane) hit the rocks following his own recent appearance this past spring.
"I’m so thrilled to be back playing Jane Harris! I’m grateful to again be working with the dedicated cast, crew and team at Neighbours," Annie Jones has said.
"Jane is returning to her old neighbourhood and bringing with her an insight into what her life away from Ramsay Street has been like for the past 30 years. Audiences will learn more about her family life, as fans are introduced to her daughter Nicolette for the first time.”
During her recent guest appearances for the anniversary episodes, Jones revealed that she'd hoped former co-stars Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce would be back on Ramsay Street too.
"Stefan Dennis and I caught up with Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce when we were all in the UK a while ago," she said. "We tried to persuade them to do it, but they are both so darn busy!
"Jason has been in Melbourne doing Chicago on stage. I'm pretty sure Guy is in Amsterdam or somewhere exotic making a movie.
"So the stars didn't line up in this instance, but you never know. I'm sure they'd love to if they could make it work and they happened to be in Australia at the right time. I'll keep trying!"
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia), with Jane and Nicolette appearing at the end of July.

Neighbours releases first trailer for Jane Harris' return with her daughter
It's a less-than-happy family reunion.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a33156748/neighbours-trailer-jane-harris-return-daughter/
Neighbours is gearing up for the much-anticipated return of Jane Harris, and the soap has just released a new trailer to get us all hyped.
The Ramsay Street legend will be heading back to Erinsborough very soon, but there's a problem: her daughter Nicolette is also heading back there, and they really don't get on.
In the trailer, which you can check out below, we see Nicolette return first and make some small talk. But as soon as Jane is mentioned, her face drops like a stone.
Jane, for her part, looks more worried that there's no hope for their relationship, especially when Nicolette says "civility and tact" aren't her strong points.
Of course, this is all interspersed with the actresses posing and staring at each other in a dark studio. You can't not love it.
The source of tension between the two stems from when Nicolette came out as a lesbian as a teenager, and the pair became estranged from each other. It's looks like time has only made that gap worse, and now they are going to have to confront their bad blood head-on.
Annie Jones, who guest starred in the 35th anniversary earlier this year, recently said: "I'm so thrilled to be back playing Jane Harris! I'm grateful to again be working with the dedicated cast, crew and team at Neighbours.

Neighbours casts Nowhere Boys star Joe Klocek as Jane Harris's son
Jane's golden child makes an appearance.

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours bosses have announced that Nowhere Boys star Joe Klocek is heading back to Ramsay Street.
Joe had a short stint on the long-running soap in 2017 when he took on the role of Evan Lewis, who was a rival for Ben Kirk at the garage.
The actor will now be taking on an entirely different part as he plays Jane Harris's son Byron.
Byron pops up unexpectedly in next week's episodes airing on UK screens.
Jane and Aaron Brennan are stunned when they look through the kitchen window at Number 32 and see someone using the pool without permission.
Aaron rushes out to confront the mystery man, who rudely ignores him and warmly greets Jane instead.
It's then revealed that the new arrival is Jane's son, who claims that he couldn't resist the lure of the pool when he turned up for a visit.
Jane is delighted to see Byron back in her life following his time away travelling.
Byron is clearly Jane's golden child and she couldn't be happier when he announces that he's in Erinsborough to stay.
Will the charming newcomer bring trouble to his mum's door?
Byron's arrival comes at a difficult time for the residents of Number 32, as they all have reason to worry about David Tanaka next week.
New spoilers have revealed that David misses his bail check-in after getting stranded at sea while on holiday with Aaron.
When David arrives late for his check-in, he's relieved when the police agree to let him off with a warning.
Later though, the stance changes as David is branded a possible flight risk and is told that he'll be held on remand ahead of his trial over Gareth Bateman's death.

Neighbours newcomer Byron Stone to hide secret after moving to Erinsborough
The secret life of Byron Stone!
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a40347149/neighbours-spoilers-byron-stone-secret/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Jane's son Byron is making a surprise arrival in Erinsborough, and in true Neighbours style, we will soon learn that he has a secret that he is keen to keep to himself.
Starting work with Toadie at Rebecchi Law, Jane is thrilled that Byron is settling in so quickly, while Nicolette still seems slightly on edge about her brother?s unexpected arrival.
But while Byron settles in and Jane beams about having her son back, it soon turns out that Byron has an interest in a different kind of work to the one that his family knows about ? and it is a good job that Mrs Mangel is not around to hear about it!
The mystery unfolds when Byron makes excuses to get out of a meeting at the law firm, and instead, he heads off with paperwork to see a mystery client, and things soon take a turn to the steamy side.
Byron has been making extra cash by working as a gigolo, and his move to Ramsay Street has done nothing to make him change his mind on that line of work.
But Byron is about to learn that keeping a secret in Erinsborough is never easy, and his side gig soon ends up getting in the way of the work that he is doing over at Rebecchi Law.
And it does not take long for Toadie to notice that something is amiss as Byron soon proves to not be as reliable as he had hoped.
Byron is late for work and meetings, and Toadie is quick to call him out on it, wondering if he does in fact want the job at all.
As Byron works to save his job and cover his tracks, how long will it be before his gigolo secret is revealed to his family ? and how will Jane react to the bombshell?

Neighbours lines up heartbreak for Jane Harris with Mike Young update
Mike isn't returning anytime soon.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a46978025/neighbours-spoilers-jane-harris-mike-young-update/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs another cameo for Mike Young next week as Jane Harris receives some disappointing news.
Hollywood star Guy Pearce reprises his role as Mike for another video call, keeping fans up to date over the character's adventures in the UK.
Mike checks in with Jane following the recent death of David Tanaka, which has left their family devastated.
Jane puts on a brave face when Mike expresses his concerns over the various pressures that she's currently facing.
Mike's call comes as Jane is struggling to play referee between her daughter Nicolette Stone and Aaron Brennan, who seem oblivious to her own grief as they fight between themselves.
Jane is also busy overseeing a major transformation for Erinsborough High, which is merging with Terese Willis' new retirement village.
The school headteacher downplays her current problems as she doesn't want to worry Mike, but she adds that she can't wait to have his support in-person when he returns soon.
Sadly, Mike shares the news that his bosses have asked him to stick around for another three months.
Selfless Jane accepts that Mike needs to stay put, but once she hangs up the call, it's unclear whether she'll be able to handle this further time without him.
With Jane bitterly disappointed over Mike's continued absence, are the couple heading for rocky ground?
Guy Pearce was last seen in-person on Neighbours in early October, featuring in scenes which were filmed in the UK alongside Annie Jones, who plays Jane.
Since then, Mike has appeared on occasional video calls, letting Jane know about his current work as a tour guide.
The cameos have helped to continue Mike and Jane's storyline after their well-received scenes in the 2022 finale of Neighbours.
Neighbours airs the latest Mike and Jane scenes on Tuesday, March 5.

Neighbours hints at a sad split for Jane and Mike
They've been in a long-distance relationship for months.

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours has hinted at a sad split for Jane Harris and Mike Young, with their long-distance relationship continuing to be a barrier.
The pair were reunited in the Channel 5 'finale' back in 2022, with their relationship continuing as the soap was rebooted by Amazon Freevee.
Mike is currently in the UK for work, with the distance putting a strain on his relationship with Jane, and actor Shiv Palekar has now teased that it could soon be curtains for the pair as he fronted a new 'Spill the Beans' video on Instagram.
"Hey everyone," he began, speaking in character as Haz Devkar. "Welcome to Harold's. I'm Haz and I'll be looking after you today. You know, working here, I try to keep myself to myself. You know, focus on the coffee, focus on the customers.
"But I do hear and see quite a lot of things that you might find interesting. For example, it's obviously awful what happened to David [Tanaka] - so sad. But Nicolette and Aaron really haven't been the same since. And I can't help but think there's something else going on there...
"And what is the deal with Chelsea? She's in here a lot and she always looks like she's up to no good...
"Oh and I'm worried about poor Jane. She's always on the phone to Mike, and while he does seem like a really nice 'Guy', I just don't know how long a relationship like that can last."

The clip also teased a "big" development in the story for Paul, Terese and Toadie, with Haz concluding by saying there was "unfinished business" for the trio.
Mike is due to appear on screens next week as he makes a video call to Jane, but how long will their relationship last after he shares some bad news with her?

Neighbours reveals sad news for Jane's wedding story
Is the ceremony going to be called off?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a61049015/neighbours-spoilers-jane-harris-wedding-news/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs another worrying sign for Jane Harris and Mike Young's future next week.
The pair's upcoming wedding seems to be under threat when it's revealed that Jane is having second thoughts.
Jane and Mike reunited in the heartwarming 2022 series finale episode. When Neighbours returned last year, the couple got engaged but were quickly torn apart when Mike accepted a job in the UK.
Mike has extended his stay several times since, creating uncertainty over his long-term future with Jane.
Next week, Mike's daughter Sam grows increasingly concerned about the closeness between Jane and her ex-husband Victor Stone.
Victor is being supported by his family following the sad news that he's terminally ill. Fearing that Mike is being pushed out of the picture, Sam decides to re-focus Jane's attention back on the wedding.
She arranges a special surprise for Jane by booking an appointment for her to find her wedding dress.
Jane isn't pleased to be put on the spot like this, but goes along with the dress search when she realises Sam is acting out of fear.
Byron also gives Jane some advice, explaining that Sam needs to see that Jane is still committed to marrying Mike and combining their families.
Jane gets into the spirit of things as she tries on several dresses and outwardly appears to enjoy the day.
In the end, Jane finds the perfect gown but sheds a private tear in the changing rooms ? revealing she now has doubts.
Later, Jane feels further unsettled when she returns home and finds Victor chatting to Nicolette about his plans to leave his children with a viable business to secure their future.
Jane is struck by the realisation that this Stone family endeavour won't include her.
In a recent exclusive chat with Digital Spy, Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison spoke about whether Hollywood star Guy Pearce could reprise his role as Mike in person again rather than just on video calls.
Herbison told us: "It's a wonderful dilemma to have. We're very grateful to Guy for continuing his association with the show. Anything is possible but, of course, it depends on his schedule.
"That said, the distance will soon prove difficult for Mike and Jane and they will need to reassess their future."

Neighbours' Jane Harris to be confronted over Mike Young's absence
Victor issues some home truths.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a61070070/neighbours-spoilers-jane-mike-absence/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Jane Harris is left outraged next week as her ex-husband Victor Stone tries to interfere in her new relationship.
The Erinsborough High headteacher receives some home truths when Victor questions why Mike Young has spent so much time away from her.
Jane and Mike got engaged in the early weeks of Neighbours' new season last year.
They've since tried to maintain a long-distance relationship, as Mike has a job in the UK and has repeatedly extended his time away.
Next week, Jane's daughter Nicolette and son Byron chat privately about how she doesn't seem committed to the wedding anymore.
This follows Jane attending a wedding dress fitting, where she was left tearful during a private moment in the changing rooms.
Victor overhears Nicolette and Byron talking and decides to meddle by confronting Jane about her relationship.
Victor declares that people close to Jane have noticed that she's engaged to a man who keeps pushing back his return date.
This goes down badly with Jane, who points out that it's not Victor's place to discuss her personal life.
Despite this, Victor persists by demanding to know why Jane and Mike aren't together if they're in love.
Later, Jane is left rattled by Victor's comments, wondering whether he has a point. However, she's soon distracted when she realises that her engagement ring is missing and immediately jumps to conclusions over who's responsible.
Hollywood star Guy Pearce appeared in person on Neighbours late last year for Mike and Jane's engagement scenes. Mike has since been on screen for brief video calls to his family.
Asked recently whether Guy could pop up again, Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison told Digital Spy: "It's a wonderful dilemma to have. We're very grateful to Guy for continuing his association with the show. Anything is possible but of course it depends on his schedule.
"That said, the distance will soon prove difficult for Mike and Jane and they will need to reassess their future."

Neighbours is lining up a surprise fling for two characters in upcoming scenes, as unexpected passion erupts.
Jane Harris recently reunited with her ex-husband Victor Stone, but she soon changed her mind after realising that she and Victor weren't on the same page anymore, and that he appeared to have a stronger connection with Melanie Pearson.
Meanwhile, former Ramsay Street resident Shane Ramsay is back in town for a short time, and has been sharing all the details of his recent off-screen split from Izzy Hoyland.
With Jane and Shane both recovering from their break-ups, scenes which will air next week see the pair decide to catch up for a drink.
As the pair enjoy catching up and reminiscing over old times, they find themselves flirting as they move onto the topic of their relationship from many years ago.
When Jane's daughter Nicolette Stone and Shane's newly-arrived son Max Ramsay spot the pair looking cosy, they start questioning their parents about what's going on.
Shane claims that their apparent flirtation didn't mean anything, while Jane announces that she's pleased their chat didn't amount to more.
However, events take another turn when Shane heads over to see Jane and tells her that he's about to leave Erinsborough once again. As Shane teasingly reminds Jane about her cheerleading days, the pair suddenly feel the spark between them again.
Pointing out that there seems to be a vibe between them, Jane suggests that things shouldn't go any further, as they wouldn't want to ruin their friendship. Shane agrees that it's best nothing else happens between them.
However, when Nicolette and Max head over to Jane's later, they're shocked to come across Jane and Shane in the throes of passion, having clearly changed their minds.

Neighbours will air passionate new scenes for Jane Harris in upcoming episodes.
Viewers will know that Jane recently signed up for an online dating app and she arranged to go on a date with a man named Clint, played by newcomer Jason Wilder.
Jane was shocked to find that Clint was a much younger man and tried to call things off. When Jane's son Byron suggested that Clint might be interested in her due to ulterior motives, Jane changed her mind and agreed to go out with Clint again.
In scenes set to air on Thursday, February 6, Jane has made up her mind to finally cut romantic ties with Clint after finding out that he's a cleaner at the school where she is the principal.
Not wanting to date an employee, Jane is left rattled after learning that Clint will have to work at the school during the day, rather than taking on the night shifts that she had arranged for him in an attempt to keep a distance between them.
Following a pep talk from Aaron, Jane resolves to keep things professional but her resolve is undermined by her attraction to Clint.
After Jane acts irrationally around Clint and is then caught out staring at him, Clint realises that Jane is protesting too much - and that she's actually just as into him as he is to her.
Later in the week, Jane remains in denial about her attraction to Clint, despite the fact that Vera and Gino have been declaring their admiration for the hunky new cleaner at Eirini Rising.
Clint can't stop thinking about Jane and keeps coming up with reasons to be near her. It isn't long before Jane can't keep her desires hidden any longer, and she rushes to find Clint as he finishes his shift.

The first big problem arose when Jane realised that Clint was much younger than her and she doubted that their relationship would work.
Once they'd moved past that drama, Jane discovered that Clint had been hired as a new cleaner at Erinsborough High.
Jane cut ties with Clint as she didn't want to cross any ethical boundaries by dating an employee. However, upcoming scenes see Jane decide to keep pursuing Clint in secret.
After a passionate night with Clint, Jane feels reinvigorated by her new relationship next week. Her loved ones are surprised by her upbeat mood as she suggests a family lunch.

Neighbours' Jane Harris will fall out with Terese Willis in upcoming scenes after her fling with newcomer Clint Hendry is exposed.
Jane recently matched with younger man Clint on a dating app, but later discovered that he was also a cleaner at Erinsborough High (where she works as school principal) and Eirini Rising (the retirement complex next door).
Jane decided to keep seeing Clint in secret, despite the morality issues involved with dating an employee and not disclosing it.
In scenes set to air on the soap next week, Jane continues to enjoy her secret affair with Clint, unaware that they were spotted kissing on school premises.
Meanwhile, Terese grows increasingly frustrated with the thefts of cleaning products from Eirini Rising and begins to wonder if Clint is involved.
When Terese raises her suspicions, Jane manages to instead turn her attention to school student Jasmine, who was seen loitering outside Eirini Rising late at night.
However, it's later revealed that Jasmine was there to help Elenora win card games for money against the other residents.
Jane criticises Elenora for exploiting Jasmine's skills, but Jasmine suggests that Jane is being a hypocrite given she spotted her and Clint kissing at school.
Terese is thrown by this revelation and grows furious when she realises that Jane and Clint have also been hooking up at Eirini Rising.

Jane is about to be suspended from Erinsborough High, which leaves her job hanging in the balance and also threatens her close friendship with Terese Willis.
Viewers have recently seen Jane throw caution to the wind by pursuing a relationship with her employee Clint Hendry.
Jane and Clint initially connected via a dating app and were complete strangers when they first met. However, Jane later realised that Clint worked as a cleaner at Erinsborough High and Eirini Rising, creating a conflict of interest as she's in a position of power at the school.
This week's episodes see Jane's secret exposed by troublesome school student Jasmine, who has spotted her sneaking around with Clint.
Terese is outraged when she learns that Jane and Clint have been hooking up in a vacant apartment at Eirini Rising, which led to noise complaints and a scandal among the residents.
Things only get worse for Jane when word reaches Lana Kline from the Education Department, who suspends her from her job until further notice.
Next week, Jane admits to her loved ones that she has already accepted defeat as she doesn't expect to be reinstated at the school.
Clint feels terrible for Jane, while her son Byron and extended family member Aaron Brennan are also concerned for her.
Jane's allies hope to cheer her up by arranging a romantic dinner for her and Clint.
As Clint listens carefully to what's bothering Jane, he realises that she's most rattled by the troubled state of her friendship with Terese rather than her job.

Neighbours confirms Jane Harris's fate next week as her son Byron Stone helps her to save her job.
Jane was recently suspended from her role as Erinsborough High's headteacher as she was caught out for dating an employee, Clint Hendry.
Viewers have recently seen Jane throw caution to the wind by pursuing Clint, who works as a cleaner at the school and Eirini Rising.
When the Education Department found out last week, Jane was reprimanded for failing to disclose the potential conflict of interest. She was suspended from her duties pending an investigation.
This week's scenes see the situation get much worse as Clint makes an unexpected confession that leaves Jane feeling utterly foolish.
This throws Jane off her game just as she's about to attend an important meeting with the Department, where her future will be decided.
During the meeting, a distracted Jane struggles to explain herself. Fortunately, she has appointed Byron to represent her interests.
Byron draws on his successful past as a lawyer to bring up previous case law and department policy.
Byron's careful research allows him to defend Jane, strongly arguing that her errors of judgement don't justify a permanent dismissal.
Much to everyone's relief, Jane is let off with a warning and is told that she can continue working at the school.
In a further twist, Education Department chief Lana Cline pulls Byron to one side. She reveals how impressed she is by his skill and requests another meeting to discuss his talents further.
Back home, Jane's loved ones celebrate the result of the meeting, failing to recognise just how heartbroken she is after Clint's big confession.
It's Aaron Brennan who senses Jane's sad mood and he pulls her to one side. As Jane laments the loss of her fresh start with Clint, can Aaron find a way to support her?
