After again being the final two Housemates to go to bed, Maxwell and Anthony decided to paint Eugene's toe and fingernails while he slept.
And it's been a while since Maxwell and Anthony pulled off a good prank, so it was nice to see the craftsmen back to their best.
Anthony borrowed a bottle of nail varnish from one of the other sleeping Housemates and gently pulled back the duvet to reveal Eugene's feet. As he lay there, no doubt dreaming of diode nodules and prototype circuit boards, Anthony began painting away.
Maxwell soon joined him and they both worked away silently, like a pair of nocturnal beauticians, giving the sleeping Eugene a little surprise for when he wakes up.
Then they realised that he was sleeping with his hands outside the duvet, so they ensured his fingernails matched his toes.
"He's quite a hard one to get," Anthony said proudly, as if he'd just secured a rare Pokemon card. "He may not even notice for a while...I hope he's not upset."
Anthony had an idea: "I think we should give him a different colour each week." They both laughed at the thought of this.
