He was a character we all loved to hate when he came back because of the history with Anna ... sadly they scriptwriters then lost the plot and decided to make it Phelan Street instead of Coronation Street and they are failing the viewers big time. Sadly, big exit storylines promised recently for other characters have been very much a let down as far as I am concerned so even if they are now writing Phelan's exit, I doubt it will rock the street and life will be nearly the same for most on the cobbles afterwards :(

Elsewhere, still down on his luck, Aidan hits the bottle in The Rovers.

Abi is rushed to hospital following her overdose.

After receiving a call, social services arrive and take the twins into care. Seb is devastated, accusing Anna of involving social services.

Meanwhile, having promised Andy that he'll soon be a free man, the pressure is on for Phelan to come up with his replacement. Phelan informs Andy of the unlucky person's identity.

Elsewhere, Aidan suggests to Alya that they should set up in business together.


Wednesday (1)


Seb has a very public row with Anna over the social services situation. Anna then has a showdown with Phelan, who she blames for poisoning Seb against her.

Later, Seb suffers a horrific fall from his ladder while cleaning windows at the solicitor's office. Finding Seb on the ground, Anna calls an ambulance while Faye sobs over his lifeless body.

Meanwhile, Fiz and Tyrone are shocked when they receive a cheque for £2,000 from a lady who read about Hope on the crowd-funding site.

Elsewhere, Gina decides to find Steve a woman and he ends up on the double date from hell.


Wednesday (2)

Anna and Nicola share secrets.

Meanwhile, Steve continues to endure the double date from hell – with Moira!

Elsewhere, Tracy sees Steve in a new light.

Also, Luke misreads a situation.

Finally, Tyrone insists to Fiz that they should keep the money as it was intended for Hope, but Fiz reminds him that the crowd-funding site was originally set up for the factory girls. Making out Tyrone had a generous tip from a customer, Fiz buys a round of drinks for her former colleagues.


Friday (1)

Nicola pays Lydia a visit and quizzes her about her mum's affair with Phelan.

Lydia breaks down in tears and reveals that there was no affair, leaving Nicola horrified as she learns some home truths.

Phelan also snaps when Nicola starts asking questions about his murky past.

Meanwhile, telling Alya she's brilliant, Aidan leans in and kisses her. Will Alya respond?

Elsewhere, Anna refuses to give up.

Also, Tyrone and Fiz are forced to cover their tracks.


Friday (2)

Nicola hears Phelan's side of the story.

Meanwhile, Andy has one more shot at freedom.

Elsewhere, Rosie's negligence puts Anna in the frame and Phelan seizes the chance to attempt to frame his old enemy for attempted murder.
