Coming Soon to BBC1 from Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio the 6 part drama 'BODYGUARD' Starring Keeley Hawes (DI Lindsay Denton) and Richard Madden (Game Of Throne). Bodyguard tells the fictional story of David Budd (Madden), a war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch (RaSP) of London’s Metropolitan Police.

According to the BBC, “When he is assigned to protect the ambitious and powerful Home Secretary Julia Montague (Hawes) whose politics stand for everything he despises, Budd finds himself torn between his duty and his beliefs. Responsible for her safety, is he actually her biggest threat?”

The BBC has set a premiere date, the 6-episode, hour-long series will premiere on Sunday, 26th August 2018 at 9pm with episode 1. Episode 2 will air Bank Holiday Monday, 27th August 2018 at 9pm. The 4 remaining episodes will then go back to airing on Sundays at 9pm.

Cracking new series from the beeb , certainly a match for Homelands. A few actors from Scott & Bailey cast, inc. Duncan from corrie. Well written and acted . Even at this stage I hope the beeb are planning for a second series. So far a solid hour of quality viewing every episode. Congrats the beeb. :thumbsup:

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't like it. I thought it was going to be good judging from the first episode but since then I've found I just can't get into it. I don't know whether it's because I don't like the character she's playing or what, but I don't think I'll be watching the rest.

Great start, great character development then they had to over do the sex .... yawn . just infer it BBC not make us cringe through the enactment of it.
