Weight of the world.
Ziggy and Coco battle personal demons.
Life in Summer Bay hasn't been an easy transition for the Astoni sisters. Now, they're headed for more trouble when Coco develops an eating disorder and Ziggy has a secret romance!
In Home and Away this week, Coco (Anna Cocquerel) is struggling to fight off bullies at school. After several taunts about her weight from schoolgirl Jennifer (Brittany Santariga), the insecure teen puts herself in harm's way by purging what she eats.
"The move to Summer Bay triggered Coco's issues," Anna,16, tells TV WEEK. "But since being bullied at school and comparing herself to her friends and sister, her self-esteem is getting lower."
At the Astoni house, Maggie (Kestie Morassi) is baffled when Coco refuses to eat lunch. With some persuasion, she gulps down what she can before they head to the surf club. Once there, however, she heads straight to the bathroom.
"She's quite close to her parents, but she's in denial [about her problem], so she hides it," Anna explains.
Outside, she runs into VJ (Matt Little) who offers to give her a surfing lesson. On the sand, Coco is happier than ever. But when VJ suggests they hit the water, Coco refuses to get into her swimmers. To VJ's surprise, she runs off.
Elsewhere, big sister Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) is on edge after she and Brody (Jackson Heywood) were kidnapped by crazed crim Zannis (Caleb Alloway).
Dad Ben (Rohan Nichol) orders Ziggy to stay away from Brody. She agrees, but goes to see him anyway.
"Ziggy definitely sees Brody as something more," Sophie, 24, reveals.
An emotional Ziggy tells Brody he's the only one who understands what she went through during their ordeal.
With a promise to keep their affair secret, they lean in for a kiss!
It's A Date. Love Is Blossoming For These Summer Bay Locals.
Mason and Beth
Love is the drug for Mason this week when he meets an attractive young nurse.
Hospitalised and stuck in a wheelchair due to spinal injury, the teen has been feeling pretty low.
But that changes during rounds when Mason (Orpheus Pledger) meets pretty nurse Beth (Anneliese Apps). He instantly feels a spark.
After discussing his injury, talk turns to family and life outside the hospital. When Mason asks Beth about her own life, however, she insists it's not worth talking about.
Is Beth hiding something?
Justin and Scarlett
After weeks of sexual tension, Scarlett (Tania Nolan) and Justin (James Stewart) could finally be ready to take a chance. On the beach, Justin admits he can't stop thinking about her and asks for them to be together!
TV Week also included this Talking Point and Inside Goss:
Hurry Up And Decide!
Having to choose between hot doc Tori and policewoman Kat has created a huge mess for Ash. But come on, this love triangle has gone on for way too long. In that time in Home And Away, viewers have seen a new arrival, a car crash and even a hostage situation unfold in Summer Bay. It's time to make a decision and move on, Ash!
VJ Leaving The Bay?
Matt Little, who plays Leah's son VJ in Home And Away, is said to be leaving the show. Channel Seven is yet to announce the 24-year-old's departure, but rumour has it Matt, who joined the cast in 2014, finished filming his final scenes weeks ago.
