Pauline Quirke from Birds of a feather has joined The Bill as a semi regular.

In a fortnight she starts filming a mystery role but she is not thought to be portraying a copper. She will play a semi regular character for a couple of weeks.

pauline is a huge fan of the show.

wasn't the other women in birds of a feather (cant remeber her name) in The Bill?, she played Polly's cousin I think. I love Pauline Quirke it would be brill if she played a criminal.

this is a fab move for the bill i loved pauline in down to earth, i hope her talent is wasted

do we have a source? Well I saw the article on digital spy:

Birds of a Feather star Pauline Quirke has flown the nest and joined the cast of ITV cop drama The Bill.

The actress starts filming for the show in a couple of weeks' time but as yet details of her mystery character are not known. It is, however, thought that she will play a part not connected with the police force.

An insider told The Sun: "Pauline plays a semi-regular character for a few weeks. She is a big fan of the show."

Pauline's scenes are due to be aired late September, early October.
