Emmerdale suspicion as Nell Fairfax is accused of endangering Priya's daughter Amba
Emmerdale's troubled newcomer Nell Fairfax will find herself in the firing line again next week when Priya Sharma's little girl Amba is put in danger.
The latest drama kicks off after Jai insists that Nell come live at Holdgate after Nell claims that she can no longer stay at the hostel because of its unpleasant residents.
With her feet firmly under the table at Jai's, Nell wastes no time in making a big impression at his niece Amba's birthday – dressing up to the nines and demonstrating her natural knack with children.
Even Priya is impressed with how good Nell is with her young daughter, but the day soon takes a terrible turn when little Amba is found with pills in her hand.
As Amba's family frantically try and ascertain whether she has swallowed any of them, it's not long before the finger is pointed at Nell – given her sad history of drug addiction. But will Amba be okay?
Of course, this isn't the first time that Nell has been accused of harming a village youngster after she briefly snatched Jai and Megan's baby daughter Eliza last month.
Jai gave Nell a second chance when she opened up about her heartbreaking backstory regarding her own daughter Rosie, but will this latest incident with Amba prompt Jai to rethink their relationship after all?

Emmerdale fans will soon be bidding farewell to Nell Fairfax, with actress Scarlett Archer set to leave the show.

Having only joined the ITV soap back in March, Scarlett will depart the Dales when her character's storyline with fellow recovering drug addict Jai Sharma reaches its conclusion.

Nell's exit will certainly come as a blow to Jai, who has struck up a close bond with her after first meeting her at a Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meeting.

The pair's rollercoaster relationship has seen plenty of drama up until now – so we can only imagine Nell's farewell will consist of more of the same.

Emmerdale bosses are remaining tight-lipped on exactly how Scarlett will leave the show for now, though, with a show spokesperson telling Digital Spy "we don't comment" on storylines.

Nell isn't the only one leaving the Dales in the coming months, with confirmed exits for characters including Lawrence White (played by John Bowe), Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and Adam Barton (Adam Thomas).

And there's speculation that a further four cast members could be leaving as major storylines come to a head.

"As happens on long-running dramas like Emmerdale, stories reach hugely dramatic cliffhangers and it sometimes means the departure of certain characters," an Emmerdale spokesperson told us when asked about those rumours.

"We don't like to spoil storylines for our viewers so won't be confirming which characters will be leaving the programme. However, we have some very dramatic and entertaining plots in the coming months which will keep everyone hooked."

I remember her coming out of the bathroom, and Jai asking her the result. She said "positive", but don't remember her showing him the test. She may have done but don't remember it.
