Yeah the EH doctors are miracle workers. Whenever someone is disabled and unable to walk you know it's a matter of time before they are up and running. Toadie the most recent example.

TV Week has the following plot teasers for the week of 15 - 19 May:

Booze, You Lose. Sonya's Drinking Problem Is Exposed To All Of Erinsborough.

Things go from bad to worse for Sonya as she hits rock bottom in episodes of Neighbours this week.

Sonya (Eve Morey) has been on a downward spiral since Dee Bliss returned to Ramsay Street early in the year.

Irrevocable damage was caused when Toadie had an affair with Dee, who turned out to be an imposter.

This betrayal proved too much for pregnant Sonya to handle, with the stress resulting in a devastating miscarriage.

Now, with her marriage in tatters & a hole in her heart, Sonya has been reaching for the bottle to drown her sorrows.

With all of Erinsborough celebrating Mother's Day, Sonya finds herself overcome with grief.

"She's not feeling great that day," Eve, 33, tells TV WEEK.

"Mother's Day is a funny one for Sonya, because the loss of Caitlin leaves her vulnerable. Plus, it's her first Mother's Day without Toadie."

Alcohol flows freely at the Council morning tea fundraiser she's attending, and Sonya downs glass after glass.

Toadie is heartbroken by Sonya's behaviour & takes their daughter Nell home.

Meanwhile, Steph & Susan try to manage the situation before Sonya humiliates herself completely.

But it's too late. The damage has already been done.

Next morning, nursing a bad hangover & her pride bruised, Sonya is horrified to see images of her drunk on the front page of the West Waratah Star.

Things escalate when she's called in for an emergency Council meeting - a meeting that's actually an ambush, forcing her to resign as mayor.

"She loved that job & was so proud the community had faith in her as a leader," Eve explains. "To have that taken away now is just the worst. She didn't ever think her life could get back to this point again."

Adding insult to injury, as a defeated Sonya makes her way home with Nell, she's accosted by paparazzi wanting a statement about her drinking.

As her life starts unravelling, how will a grief-stricken Sonya cope with this very public fall from grace?

(Trivia Time: In real life, Eve Morey is happily married to director & actor Jonathon Dutton, who played Toadie's cousin Tad Reeves from 1998 - 2002)

[B]Tutor Time. Xanthe And Finn Share An Intimate Moment.

The lines between teacher & student become blurred this week.

Finn (Rob Mills) bumps into Xanthe (Lilly Van der Meer) and decides to keep her company. It's not long before the pair are engrossed in conversation.

As they share stories & bond, it's clear this is not an average relationship between a student & teacher. Is it innocent? Or are Finn & Xanthe becoming too close?
