I must be honest, I'm starting to feel like Neighbours is getting way too repetitive. Mark and Sonya are still having their stupid back and forth, Jack is still being judgy and disapproving... we even have Brooke back with her same 'secret past', possibly deceiving Xanthe, and Gary naively tagging along.
I really do hope the new family will help spruce the show up a bit.
If you thought that Neighbours couldn't get any more dramatic after the recent Fake Dee storyline, then think again – because things are about to get even more shocking for Ramsay Street's residents.

Having just landed, this tantalising new trailer sees several lives turned upside down when one character crashes their car into the Erinsborough Backpackers complex – sparking life-changing consequences for everyone involved.
David Tanaka and Piper Willis are among those we see affected in the shock scenes, which are due to air early next month, and they can both be seen trapped beneath the rubble caused by the crash.

Although Tyler quickly rushes to the aid of his injured girlfriend Piper, it is a very different story for David – leaving his brother Leo fearing the worst that he won't pull through.
But as David's life hangs in the balance, the big question is: who could have caused this this literal car crash devastation?
Policeman Mark Brennan vows to get to the bottom of the mystery, but with some big twists to come, this week certainly isn't one to be missed.
Neighbours will air these scenes in the week commencing Monday, May 1 on Channel 5.

Just when you think things can't get any worse for Sonya. I'm really hoping they don't kill off another character.
I can picture Mark trying to cover up for Sonya and her drink driving. Don't think anyone will die from this disaster

Neighbours: Paul plays dirty at the Erinsborough barbie bash!
Whose sausage will sizzle the most in next week's culinary showdown?

Get ready for hilarious hi-jinks in Neighbours next week at the Erinsborough Bonza Barbie Bash, as naughty Paul Robinson turns a fun family day out into an excuse to get one over on arch rival Gary Canning. Of course he does...
The event has been organised as a light-hearted promo opportunity for local businesses, where teams of two have to prepare a barbecue feast, but there's a comedy catch - the couple have their hands tied together to make using the tongs deliberately tricky.
http://www.radiotimes.com/uploads/images/original/135805.737bd0ee-734c-414c-9647-b28f7f76a675.jpg
As Erinsborough's eager entrepreneurs fire up the charcoal, the spirit of friendly competition threatens to turn personal and decidedly ugly as sworn enemies Paul and Gary square up over who's sausage will cause a sizzling sensation.
Our pictures show Paul and his accomplice, Gary's flighty ex Brooke, messing about with the rope that's meant to keep their tongs tied - are they planning to sabotage the contest? Well, what did you expect from cheating Paul?

Elsewhere, there's drama for Amy Williams when she spots Leo Tanaka getting flirty with another local at the barbie bash, and finds it all a bit too hot to handle. Amy's jealousy causes her to spiral further into emotional despair following the recent reveal the pair are half siblings - which obviously put a stop to their burgeoning romance.
Later, Amy's ute is involved in a horrific crash at the hostel, but did she have anything to do with it?
http://www.radiotimes.com/uploads/images/original/135808.d370cb9c-cad0-4ed9-988d-d086f1ae1247.jpg
But never mind the crash, what we all want to know is whether Paul and Brooke cheat their way to be crowned king and queen of the barbecue...

Neighbours brain damage scare for David Tanaka after he's badly injured in the Backpackers accident
Dr Karl has a worrying diagnosis for his loved ones.

David Tanaka's loved ones are told that he could have brain damage in emotional Neighbours scenes next week.
The Erinsborough doctor faces a health scare of his very own after he's caught up in a horror accident at the Erinsborough Backpackers.
David (Takaya Honda) is waking up after a night on the sofa at the Backpackers when Amy Williams's truck suddenly goes crashing into the building.
The incident sees a set of shelves fall on top of David, knocking him unconscious and crushing his chest too.

When David's brother Leo (Tim Kano) joins forces with Tyler Brennan, they manage to free him just as the emergency services arrive.
Later at the hospital, Dr Karl Kennedy isn't able to offer any instant reassurances to David's family and friends – revealing that he has bruising on the brain and it could be serious.
In a worst-case scenario, this means David could face problems with his speech and his memory – but it's a waiting game to find out whether he really will be badly affected or not.

A Neighbours insider told Digital Spy: "Tensions run high at David's hospital bedside, with Leo blaming Amy for the accident even though she says it was nothing to do with her.
"Even Paul can't help doubting his daughter, knowing how bad this looks for her and how she's been behaving strangely recently.
"It's Aaron who steps in and tries to stop the bickering, pointing out that they should be concentrating on David.
"Aaron is also fearing the worst himself, feeling terrible that he didn't confess his love for David sooner and worrying that he'll have missed his chance if David doesn't pull through."

I don't recall any other character's face looking that bad in hospital...Priya's face was pretty much intact after her accident, Rhys and Jack weren't that bad either.

I know it looks like Sonya that causes the crash but after last night creepy Canadian douche is a possibility. Didn't take rejection too well
That's what I thought. That maybe sonya is gonna be a decoy.
Neighbours star Mavournee Hazel has taken viewers behind the scenes of the terrifying Backpackers crash episode next week.
The actress, who plays Piper Willis in the soap, reveals how she performed one of her own stunts and shows the secrets behind exactly how the crew filmed the big moment.
https://youtu.be/Fxtwzm_aJl4
Mavournee was visibly nervous about the scene, which involved her diving out of the way of the truck, as she was talked through it all by the stunt coordinator.
The accident occurs when Piper and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) are preparing for the day ahead after waking up at the Backpackers when Amy Williams's vehicle suddenly reverses into the building.

The pair are both injured in the crash with David seriously ill in hospital after a set of shelves fall on top of him, knocking him unconscious and leaving him with possible brain damage.
In the behind-the-scenes video, we also got to meet Takaya's stunt double who actually had to be in the scene when the shelves toppled over him, which made the whole thing even more frightening to watch.
We'll have to wait and see if they both recover from the accident when it airs next week.
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, May 2 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Yes, agreed. There were a few elements of discussion that she had with Steph that were suspicious.
I saw a article on Facebook, that lists toadie and Leo as suspects too. Albeit very unlikely.

This is a radiotimes.com article with it's "list of suspects":
http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-05-02/neighbours-who-caused-the-crash-7-suspects-revealed
Neighbours: who caused the crash? 7 suspects revealed
Suspicion is rife on Ramsay Street, so who was behind the wheel of that ute?
Neighbours has aired the aftermath of the shock hostel crash, and the mystery of who caused it just got a whole lot deeper.
Amy's ute backed into the Erinsborough Backpackers hostel, causing carnage as it smashed through reception trapping Piper Willis and David Tanaka. As the emergency services sped to the scene, it soon became clear this was no accident - the vehicle was driven deliberately into the building. What we don't know is who was behind the wheel...
Several suspects became clear in today's dramatic episode, which focused on the fallout of the disaster. A mixture of murky motives and explosive emotions put these seven characters firmly in the frame - but which one is guilty of the damage and destruction?
AMY WILLIAMS
The prime - and most obvious - suspect. It was Amy's ute that wrecked the reception area of the hostel, and she was last seen sitting at the wheel in tears after an emotional showdown with Leo Tanaka over their complicated relationship (lovers? Siblings? Who knows?). Minutes later the crash occurred, but Amy claims she got out of the truck and went for a walk before filing cabinets started falling on people. Everyone thinks she's looking guilty, and today's cliffhanger saw Amy go back to the crash site and make a call to Father Jack as she was urging to confess something... Surely it would be too easy if it was Amy though?
SONYA REBECCHI
Steph Scully deduced stressed Son had the hangover from hell in today's episode and didn't believe her frazzled friend that she hadn't been drinking the night before. But a horrifying realisation dawned on Ms Scully when Sonya slipped up saying she got home early that morning, not late the previous night as she'd originally claimed. The crash happened at around 7am - did sozzled Sonya stumble by the hostel on her way back to the house having been on an all-night booze bender? And what's with those cuts on her face?
YASHVI REBECCHI
The wild card in the pack is Shane and Dipi's teenage daughter. Prior to the crash she boasted to Jimmy and Kirsha how she'd been driving trucks since the age of 9 back on the old Rebecchi family farm, and sat in the drivers' seat teasing she could start the motor and roar down the road if she wanted to. Then on the morning of the disaster, she was seen sneaking around outside - and sheepishly turned up at the coffee shop just after the incident suspiciously covered in mud... Not only that, but she returned to the scene of the crime and eyeballed Amy - what's all that about?
T-BONE
Tyler Brennan was quick to blame the Canadian backpacker to cop brother Mark today, and he could be on to something. Toxic T-Bone harassed poor Piper and got very aggressive when she rejected his advances. Tyler dished out some tough talk to drive T-Bone away from Erinsborough, so perhaps the lad returned to exact some kind of revenge that got out of hand? Does anyone actually know where the sleazy guy got to?
LEO TANAKA
An outside bet, but he was at the hostel when the crash took place and we don't know his exact whereabouts at the precise moment of impact. Super cop Mark Brennan challenged Mr Tanaka today that he could've been behind this whole thing as part of some elaborate insurance scam which really rattled his cage. Could that explain his desperation to pint it on Amy - to cover his guilty tracks for almost killing his brother?
TOADIE REBECCHI
A long shot, but Toad was in a foul mood the day before the crash having had a major bust up with lawyers over the Sonya's divorce demands, and a big argument with his friend Aaron Brennan, and we're not totally sure where he was when it all happened. He's been in bits for months what with the fake Dee saga, thinking he had a teenage daughter, losing a baby with Sonya, then seeing her turn to Mark and is now on the verge of a bitter custody battle for little Nell - did Toad momentarily lose the plot?
MISHTI SHARMA
We don't know much about newcomer Mishti, Dipi's younger sister, but she was at the backpackers' and witnessed Leo and Amy's argument - which was actually about her. An intriguing conversation with Dipi in today's episode where she confessed the crash had "brought back bad memories" has got us thinking - the enigmatic Ms Sharma obviously has some sort of trauma in her past, as yet unexplained, and she looked shaken up by jealous Amy's rant at her and Leo. How do we know Mishti didn't have some kind of PTSD meltdown and get in the ute?
Neighbours continues weekdays on Channel 5 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm
EDIT: TV Week has listed it's 4 suspects as: Amy, Sonya, Yashvi & Aaron
Thanks that's the one. Tho I find toadie or Leo unlikely.
Aussieguy
03-05-2017, 13:03
Thing is whoever it was would have been out of the ute and off like a flash. In her drunken state could Sonya have escaped so quickly? Still think it's Sonya though. Yashvi would be my dark horse. I think we can certainly eliminate Toadie T-Bone Amy and Leo.
I'm definitely leaning towards yashvi. I think any stole Ganesh from the cafe, and that's what's she's hiding.
Aussieguy
04-05-2017, 02:46
I also think Amy stole the statue and was trying to retrieve it. But Yashvi also could have taken it with her for whatever reason. Could be the reason why she was there at the same time as Amy.
AussieTV
04-05-2017, 09:18
I agree. Maybe she was running after Nell? Sonya has a ute too, maybe she had mistaken Amy's for her's so she "parked" the ute and left. Maybe something else crossed her mind as soon as she did it and left (possibly running) from the scene. Could be anything, though.
