Derek has told Big Brother he would rather go to a public execution than watch an eviction from the House.
But despite this, he still has little sympathy for Saskia and thinks she got her just deserts after her team hunted in packs.
"I do not like the spectacle of eviction happening. I'd rather go to a public execution," the foxhunting Tory said.
"There's something very cold and prolonged - unlike execution - of someone's time being up in the Big Brother House."
"It makes me sad to see it, whoever it happens to," he went on to say, but was not too sad to see the back of Saskia.
"Saskia, Maxwell and Anthony hunted in a pack and you'd be forgiven for thinking it wasn't a field sport, it was like they were hunting for a kill," said the master of foxhounds with disgust in his voice.
"I have been consistent in nominating her and I'm right in my belief that she is a waste of space," he said calmly. "She was the laziest person in the House, second only to Maxwell himself."
However, Derek said that Maxwell "had attributes that should be admired" and blamed Saskia for many of the recent disruptions: "She wound him up like a toy soldier, then he goes off and demolished the enemy, returning to her victorious. It was a spectacle that was witnessed time after time."
He claimed that the majority of the Housemates were sad to see Saskia go in the way she did, but hoped it would have a beneficial effect. "I very much hope that this fractious and vexatious House might reach a level of calm," he said.
