Neighbours is shaking up Ramsay Street once again with the arrival of a brand new family.

Toadie Rebecchi's older brother Shane will be heading up the five-strong clan when he returns to Erinsborough after 22 years away.

Nowhere Boys and House Husbands star Nicholas Coghlan will be playing the role of Shane, taking over from previous actor Greg O'Meara.

Shane is the eldest son of Angie and Big Kev, who previously appeared in a brief run of episodes in 1995. Back then, Shane's time on the Street resulted in a trip to jail – and then a prison break!

Now a fully-fledged Neighbours regular, Shane will be returning to our screens alongside his wife Dipi, who's played by Sharon Johal, and their two children Yashvi and Kirsha.

TV newcomers Olivia Junkeer and Vani Dhir have been cast as Yashvi and Kirsha, while drama graduate Scarlet Vas completes the set as Dipi's spirited younger sister Mishti Sharma.

Neighbours producer Jason Herbison commented: "Shane Rebecchi is one of the great untapped characters from Neighbours history. I'm delighted to welcome him back to Ramsay Street along with his beautiful wife, two children and sister-in-law. It's a great new chapter of the Rebecchi family."

Channel 5's commisioning editor Greg Barnett added: "It's great to be expanding the Rebecchi family further. There'll be drama and intrigue from the moment they arrive."

When Shane first makes his return, it's sister-in-law Mishti who comes along with him, but you'll just have to tune in to find out why they arrive together, where Shane's wife Dipi is and what these new arrivals have to hide.

Here's some extra gossip on the new family...

A major troublemaker in his youth, Shane spent a few years in prison before rehabilitating and transitioning back into the community. Ashamed of the way he treated his family and too proud to ask for their support, Shane relocated to the country town of Bourke, working for a company selling farming machinery.

While there he caught the eye of Dipi, a waitress who worked nearby. After getting together, they went on to have three children and enjoy a loving partnership. Shane has always felt like a failure next to his brother Toadie, and he's determined to re-write that now that he has his own family.

Dipi is a ray of sunshine to those around her. Enthusiastic, bubbly and having an infectious lust for life, she always sees the best in people.

Dipi's family are easily the most important thing in her life and she's overjoyed about finally moving to the 'big smoke' of Erinsborough. She's also incredibly excited to be taking control of her own café and she can't believe that Shane has made this happen for her.

Mishti Sharma

Mishti is Dipi Rebecchi's sister. She is a police officer with a passion for physical fitness. She grew up in Sydney, but is keen for a fresh start now that she's arrived in Erinsborough.

While Mishti seems enthusiastic about what this new place has to offer, there's also an air of sadness about her. What dark secret could she be carrying?

Kirsha Rebecchi

Kirsha is the youngest daughter of Shane and Dipi. She inherited her mother's natural intelligence and she loves nothing more than to be reading about animals or geography.

Like her father, Kirsha is slightly shy and is quite intimidated by new social situations. She often uses her books as a shield, hiding behind them to avoid interacting with people. Moving to Erinsborough is a huge change for Kirsha, and while she's trying her best to stay positive for her parents' sakes, she's quietly terrified about whether she'll be accepted here.

Yashvi Rebecchi

Olivia Junkeer as Yashvi Rebecchi in Neighbours
© CHANNEL 5
Yashvi is the oldest daughter of Shane and Dipi. Unlike her well-behaved sister, Yashvi is a boisterous troublemaker who's fearless and confident. There's nothing she loves more than a new audience, wanting to try out her favourite tricks and jokes on them.

Yashvi is happiest when she's the centre of attention. Often in trouble at school, Yashvi is constantly causing headaches for Dipi and Shane. She's by no means a bad girl or even a schemer – she's just a bit of an opportunist.

The Rebecchis take up residency on Ramsay Street from April 17. Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours legend Toadie Rebecchi gets an unexpected blast from the past next week as his older brother Shane arrives in Erinsborough.

Nowhere Boys and House Husbands star Nicholas Coghlan has been cast in the role of Shane, who's taking over the part from previous actor Greg O'Meara.

Shane (Ryan Moloney) hasn't been seen in Neighbours since he appeared in a brief run of episodes in 1995, but he's now returning to the show as a regular character.

Toadie can't believe his eyes when he finds Shane looking for him on Ramsay Street, as they haven't seen each other for over 20 years and they've barely stayed in touch.

When Toadie questions why his sibling has turned up out of the blue, Shane has to come clean by admitting that he's been sent by their mum Angie.

Angie is keen to know how Toadie is getting on following his split from his wife Sonya, so she's put Shane on strict instructions to get the inside scoop and report back to her.

Sure enough, Shane soon finds himself right at the centre of the Rebecchis' messy marriage break-up when he spots Sonya sharing a secret kiss with Mark Brennan at Lassiters Lake.

When Shane spills the beans on what he saw, all hell breaks loose on Ramsay Street, with Toadie and Steph Scully both angrily demanding answers over what's going on between Sonya and Mark.

Toadie Rebecchi's older brother Shane will arrive on Neighbours next week - but the reason for his visit to Erinsborough look set to be shrouded in mystery.
Teasers for the upcoming storyline say that Shane will be seen "inviting the Rebecchis, the Kennedys and the Cannings to a lunch at Harold's to deliver some news that will change Ramsay St forever". But what could he have to say?

Nicholas Coghlan's arrival as Shane comes ahead of a major expansion for the Rebecchi clan with many additional family members joining later this month.
Shane's wife Dipi is to be played by Sharon Johal. And in their first television roles, newcomers Olivia Junkeer and Vani Dhir play daughters Yashvi and Kirsha respectively. Drama graduate Scarlet Vas has been cast as Dipi’s spirited younger sister Mishti Sharma, who also makes the move to the big smoke from country Victoria.
Actress Lesley Baker is also set to make a guest comeback as Toadie and Shane's outspoken mum Angie.

"Shane Rebecchi is one of the great untapped characters from Neighbours history. I’m delighted to welcome him back to Ramsay Street along with his beautiful wife, two children and sister-in-law. it’s a great new chapter of the Rebecchi family," said Jason Herbison, Neighbours’s executive producer.
"It's great to be expanding the Rebecchi family further. There'll be drama and intrigue from the moment they arrive,” added Channel 5 Commissioning Editor, Greg Barnett.

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi resorts to violence in a shock football game row.

Poor Yashvi is left humiliated.

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/news/a853752/neighbours-spoilers-dipi-rebecchi-violence/

Dipi Rebecchi takes her motherly support of Yashvi way too far on Neighbours next week.

The cafe owner couldn't be more proud as she watches Yashvi take part in an important football match, but the extent of her enthusiasm soon becomes a major problem.

In the build-up to the big game, Yashvi's dad Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) warns the Rebecchis to keep their composure while they watch, not wanting his nervous daughter to be distracted from the task at hand.

This is especially important because – unbeknown to Yashvi – a talent scout will be in attendance and is eager to find out whether she has what it takes to play at a professional level.

Unfortunately, Dipi (Sharon Johal) doesn't seem to pay much attention to Shane's advice and her overly loud antics from the sidelines quickly begin to embarrass Yashvi.

To make matters even worse, Dipi also ends up exchanging some harsh words with fellow attendee Jake Hendra, who's the father of an opposition player.

Later on, the outcome of the match rests entirely on Yashvi's shoulders as she's asked to take a shot at the goal which would win the game for her team.

As troublesome Jake can't resist heckling Yashvi, furious Dipi sees red and charges straight at him, punching him in the face.

The commotion from the spectators understandably distracts Yashvi, who messes up the kick and loses the match for her team.

Already left horrified by what she's done, how will Dipi deal with the inevitable backlash from her embarrassed family?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, April 12 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours hints shock death victim is a Rebecchi in worrying Christmas Day scenes
Will Dipi's worst fears be realised?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a25595921/neighbours-spoilers-rebecchi-family-death/

Neighbours continues to tease a shock Ramsay Street death next week as Dipi Rebecchi makes an alarming prediction.

The Aussie soap has announced plans to kill off a fan favourite in the near future, keeping the unlucky individual's identity under wraps.

Next week's episodes see the mystery addressed on screen for the first time as Dipi (Sharon Johal) braces herself to lose someone very close to her.

As Ramsay Street gathers to celebrate Christmas Day at a festive carol concert, Dipi bonds with returning character Liz Conway (Debra Lawrance) at the cafe.

Discussing her experiments with tarot cards, Dipi confides in Liz about how two past readings accurately predicted the deaths of two people close to her.

After being encouraged by Liz, Dipi decides to do another reading but is alarmed when the same death card combination comes up.

Dipi is sure that tragedy lies ahead for someone, just like the previous two times – and her fears are sure to spark speculation that Neighbours is about to lose one of the Rebecchi family.

Neighbours first announced plans to kill off a character on its Facebook page two weeks ago.

Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul Robinson, later told Digital Spy: "It’s going to be devastating, that’s the only thing I can tell you. It’s going to change the world.

"We have just finished filming it all and it is so devastating that it rocked almost everybody in the cast. It was a very, very difficult two weeks of filming, really difficult. It is literally devastating."

New spoiler pictures show the likes of Shane, Yashvi, Toadie and Sonya celebrating Christmas – but could it be someone's last?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Christmas Day at 10.15am and 6.05pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi turns violent with Gary Canning after Dipi horror
Gary's bad behaviour has big consequences.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a25709473/neighbours-spoilers-shane-rebecchi-gary-canning-violence/

Neighbours' Gary Canning faces Shane Rebecchi's fury in another Ramsay Street showdown next week.

Gary (Damien Richardson) faces a backlash from the Rebecchi family after accidentally attacking Dipi on New Year's Eve.

Dramatic scenes airing today (December 31) see Gary try to turn the tables on his dodgy acquaintance Kev, but his efforts go horribly wrong when a case of mistaken identity sees him accidentally attack Dipi instead.

The fallout from the incident continues into next week, as hapless Gary tries to apologise to Dipi (Sharon Johal) for putting her in hospital.

Gary is relieved when he sneaks over to Number 32 to share some of his trademark desserts as a peace offering and Dipi accepts his gesture.

Gary even ends up bonding with Dipi over their mutual love of cooking, so he returns the following day with a recipe book for her.

Sadly, this time Gary's efforts backfire badly as Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) catches him at the house and unleashes his anger.

Making it clear that he doesn't want Gary anywhere near Dipi, furious Shane manhandles him off the property and hurls him onto the street.

When Amy Williams intervenes and tends to Gary's grazes, he's hopeful that she'll forgive him for what he did to Dipi.

Sadly, there's another devastating blow for Gary when Amy insists that she can't forgive him for betraying her trust. With tensions still running high, could the Dipi incident continue to haunt Gary in the weeks to come?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, January 7 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours' Shane and Dipi to keep Dee Bliss secret after Sonya's exit
How long can they keep quiet for?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a26548998/neighbours-spoilers-shane-dipi-dee-bliss-secret/

Neighbours' new Dee Bliss secret will spread further over the next few days, leaving Shane and Dipi Rebecchi with a difficult decision to make.

The show is revisiting the possibility that the real Dee could still be alive, setting the stage for a whole new chapter of the story later this year.

This Friday's episode (March 1) sees Sonya Rebecchi confide in Shane about what really happened when she met with Andrea Somers at the psychiatric facility recently.

Sonya explains that Andrea told her about a strange encounter she once had with a man, who was convinced that she was somebody else. Andrea thinks this could mean the real Dee is still out there somewhere. If she's telling the truth, of course...

Shane is shocked by Sonya's revelation, and after she passes away in heartbreaking scenes next week, the big question is what he'll do next.

Seeing how much Toadie is struggling following the tragic loss of his wife, Shane becomes concerned for his brother's wellbeing.

Despite the poor timing, Shane is also conscious of what Sonya told him before she died – wondering whether Andrea genuinely holds a clue that could lead to the real Dee.

Shane needs someone to confide in, so he shares all of the details with his wife Dipi.

The couple agree that it's best to keep the Dee secret between themselves for the time being, knowing that Toadie is too fragile after Sonya's death.

Shane and Dipi do plan to fill Toadie in once he's in a stronger place, but how long will it take for that to happen?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 6 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours family feud ahead as Yashvi and Shane clash over Ned
It's about to go down.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a28680335/neighbours-family-feud-yashvi-shane-clash-ned/

There's a Neighbours family feud ahead as Yashvi and Shane clash over Ned.

Yashvi and Ned's relationship begins to cause problems this week when Ned starts interfering in Rebecchi family matters.

Shane is feeling uneasy about Ned after his outburst in defence of Yashvi, lamenting that he's no longer the most important man in her life. Ned is conscious of the tension he has created, so suggests that Yashvi should spend more time with her family, especially Shane.

Shane is excited for the catch-up Yashvi organises, but she gets caught up spending time with Ned beforehand and never shows up.

Worried, Shane goes to Ned to find out where Yashvi might be, only to discover the pair in their underwear. Clearly, Yashvi had better ways to spend her time.

Shane is left heartbroken and Yashvi is faced with the gravity of her stuff-up. How will she make amends with her dad?

Later, there's unrest at Number 30 as Shane and Yashvi find themselves at odds. Shane is still sour after Yashvi stood him up on their daddy-daughter date and Yashvi, sick of trying to apologise, is avoiding the house and spending more time with Ned.

Dipi worries this is becoming a major problem and Ned and Toadie can also see that the fractured relationship needs to be fixed.

The men encourage Yashvi to make amends, while Dipi reminds Shane that for a long time he was disconnected with his own family and it's taken years to heal those relationships.

She doesn't want history to repeat itself with Yashvi. Will Shane and Yashvi listen to the advice they're both being given?

Shane and Yashvi's attempt to reconcile only results in new arguments and an emotional Yashvi threatening to move out. Anxious to keep the family together, Dipi tries to bribe Yashvi with a car if she passes her exams, much to Shane's chagrin.

But Yashvi won't take the bait and heads over to Number 22. However, her plans are thwarted when Ned tells her she can't live with him – the house is too full and it's too early in their relationship for them to start living together.

Defeated, Yashvi's forced to return home but conjures up a new scheme, claiming she has changed her mind about moving out.

She tries to bluff Dipi and Shane by accepting the car, not telling them she has nowhere else to go. The bluff pays off and they agree to buy Yashvi a car, with Shane left annoyed that they have to stoop to this level.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Digital Spy article. There has been speculation around for a while that the as-yet-unseen character of Jay Rebecchi will be joining the show at some stage. Maybe it will happen sooner rather than later......

Neighbours star Olivia Junkeer speaks out on missing character Jay Rebecchi
'I want to meet Jay too!'

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29167446/neighbours-olivia-junkeer-missing-character-jay-rebecchi/

Neighbours actress Olivia Junkeer has opened up about as-yet-unseen character Jay Rebecchi, saying that an appearance is "definitely on the cards".

Shane Rebecchi and wife Dipi have occasionally referenced their off-screen son since returning to the show in 2017.

However, while Jay is away studying at university, the Yashvi actress reckons we will see him at some point.

"Oh my gosh, I know! I want to meet Jay Rebecchi too! I hope so," she told Digital Spy. "I think it will happen eventually. It's definitely on the cards.

"I think it'd be great to have another Rebecchi family member. It'd be a really tight squeeze in the house!

"But I think we need another male to settle Kirsha and Yashvi down – and Dipi especially! I think it would also create a lot of drama, especially for Yashvi. So I think it'd be great."

Speaking of Yashvi's increase in storylines this year, Olivia said: "Oh yeah, I've become so much more busy now.

"It's great – I absolutely love it. When I first started, for the first couple of years, I was always there but never as involved. But now I am, I really enjoy it.

"It makes it so much more enjoyable and makes me more motivated. To be able to show such different stories constantly – and explore Yashvi developing from 15 to 18 – has been amazing.

"It's allowed me to delve into so many topics and really show the growth in Yashvi's moral compass. It's really, really great."

Neighbours hints at surprise exit storyline for Kirsha Rebecchi
Is she heading to Sydney?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29452337/neighbours-spoilers-kirsha-rebecchi-exit-storyline/

Neighbours hints that Kirsha Rebecchi could be leaving Ramsay Street next week.

The show hints at a possible exit storyline for Kirsha (Vani Dhir) as she opens up over her desire to broaden her horizons.

Next week's episodes see Kirsha come to the rescue of her uncle Toadie (Ryan Moloney) after he learns that a tax issue could jeopardise The Sonya Rebecchi Foundation.

Toadie is pleasantly surprised when Kirsha takes control of the situation, coming up with a way to organise all of his accounts to prevent any further troubles.

Having shown how capable she is, Kirsha admits that she has felt overlooked in the Rebecchi house recently.

Following some gentle coaxing from Toadie to be more honest about what she wants, Kirsha admits that she'd like to apply for an interstate school scholarship.

Sadly for Kirsha, her parents Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) and Dipi (Sharon Johal) are both opposed to the idea of her studying in Sydney, fearing that her anxiety would prove too problematic if she made such a big move.

The couple believe it's not the right time for Kirsha to fly the nest, even after Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) shows them a moving video essay their daughter has recorded, revealing how she doesn't let her anxiety hold her back.

Toadie soon takes matters into his own hands, going behind Shane and Dipi's backs to write Kirsha a recommendation letter.

The Ramsay Street lawyer encourages Kirsha to write an application and they can see what happens – crossing the bridge of Shane and Dipi's disapproval when they come to it.

Is this leading up to Kirsha leaving Erinsborough?

Vani Dhir's character is bowing out.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29750828/neighbours-spoilers-kirsha-rebecchi-vani-dhir-exit/

Neighbours has confirmed that Kirsha Rebecchi will leave the show next week.

The schoolgirl bows out from Erinsborough in order to start on a scholarship in Sydney, as hinted in recent episodes.

Kirsha has been struggling to convince her family that she's ready to fly the nest, amid concerns that she's not independent enough to live in another state.

Upcoming scenes will see Kirsha's father Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) start to change his mind, before convincing his wife Dipi that they should respect their daughter's wishes and let her go.

Kirsha's departure airs at the end of next week, as she says her goodbyes to the other Rebecchis.

Wanting her new independent lifestyle to start straight away, Kirsha asks for nobody to join her on the journey to Sydney. Although Dipi (Sharon Johal) thinks this is a bad idea, Shane once again urges her to do what Kirsha has asked.

After some emotional farewells, Dipi suddenly turns on Shane and Toadie, expressing her fury over their respective roles in Kirsha's decision to leave the family home.

Will Dipi be able to forgive her family for meddling?

Vani Dhir has played the role of Kirsha since April 2017.

Neighbours danger for Yashvi Rebecchi as she crosses Ned Willis's fight club
Is it a move she'll live to regret?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29932328/neighbours-spoilers-yashvi-rebecchi-ned-willis-danger/

Neighbours teen Yashvi Rebecchi puts herself in danger next week as she stands up to Ned Willis's fight club associates.

Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) is determined to protect her ex-boyfriend following the worrying revelation that he has been involved in no-holds-barred clashes on the underground fighting scene.

Viewers have seen Ned (Ben Hall) head down the dangerous path to help release his pent-up anger after Scarlett Brady stabbed him at Halloween.

Next week, Ned seems to be heading in a more positive direction as he starts attending counselling sessions to address his anger issues. Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) also agrees to keep an eye on him while he's recovering.

Unfortunately, dodgy newcomer Kane puts Ned under pressure to return to fighting. When Ned turns up for his latest grudge match, he's shocked to find Bea waiting in the ring for him, hoping this will shock him into changing his ways.

Ned pulls Bea out of the ring and later agrees that it's time to give up his hobby for good. This is partly thanks to a heart-to-heart with Yashvi, which sees Ned open up about his fighting problem and reach an emotional breakthrough.

Kane and his ruthless friends still aren't prepared to let Ned go so easily. One member of the group even warns Ned that something terrible might happen to his family if he doesn't keep showing up.

Ned ends up sneaking out for another fight, believing it's the best way to keep his loved ones safe.

Yashvi stays one step ahead of Ned and urges him to take a stand, but her bold move arouses the attentions of the fighting racket.

Having crossed some formidable people, is Yashvi now in the firing line?

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi to struggle with jealousy over Dipi and Gary
Oh dear.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a29952494/neighbours-shane-rebecchi-struggles-jealousy-dipi-gary-storyline/

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) will struggle with his jealousy over Dipi and Gary's friendship in upcoming episodes.

Hot on the heels of the exit of their daughter Kirsha, who recently left Erinsborough to go to school in Sydney, tensions are starting to brew between Shane and Dipi (Sharon Johal), particularly after Shane starts to help his brother Toadie with the Lassiters lawsuit.

To recap: Kyle approached Toadie with a class action lawsuit against Lassiters in the wake of the hotel's sex tape scandal, which involved Kyle and his girlfriend Amy Williams.

But when Kyle decides to step down from the lawsuit to support Amy, Toadie takes on Shane to help manage the workload and Dipi becomes upset that her husband would be involved in something that could hurt Lassiters (and thus, Harold's).

When her protests don't get through to Shane, Dipi is left feeling a rift develop between her and her husband and she seeks solace in her friendship with Gary, who's just been left by Prue.

Gary sympathises with Dipi's plight and the pair begin to spend more time together. However, tensions begin to surface when Shane tries to find Dipi to apologise only to realise she is with Gary instead.

Awkward.

Things only get worse when Dipi later takes on a one-off shift at the Tram where she spends more time with Gary, and Shane begins to resent their closeness.

But, after receiving some prompting from Toadie, Shane decides it's time to cause some chaos in Gary and Dipi's blossoming friendship.

So, how far will he go?

Neighbours is currently airing every weekday at 12.50pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi is drawn into Ned's violent fight club storyline
Will he go too far?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30064933/neighbours-shane-rebecchi-ned-fight-club-storyline/

Upcoming scenes in Neighbours will see Shane Rebecchi drawn into Ned Willis's violent fightclub storyline.

Viewers have seen Ned (Ben Hall) head down the dangerous path to help release his pent-up anger after Scarlett Brady stabbed him at Halloween.

And in scenes set to air next week, Shane's daughter and Ned's ex-girlfriend Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) will see an opportunity to help him.

The History Wall is receiving a makeover for the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation, and while Yashvi is reluctant to paint it herself, she sees this as a potential creative outlet for Ned.

The old couple reconnect, but the summer fun ends abruptly when they discover a threatening message left graffitied on the wall.

With the fight ring's threats looming over Yashvi's head, she is forced to tell the whole story to her parents.

They decide to go to the police to report Kane, the dodgy newcomer who's putting Ned under pressure to return to fighting. But without evidence, they are unable to take action.

The danger amps up when Yashvi's drink is spiked with broken glass. Shane then vows to resolve matters with his own fists – but will he go too far?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13 at 12.50pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Why is Shane such a Meat Head? He ignores his Wife all the time then as soon as she goes to be social with a friend he gets really heated and jealous. Just let Gary and Dipi be friends stop being an arsehole and respect your Wife or you will lose her because of yourself not anyone else. If she was going out with Sheila he wouldn't have a problem but because it is a guy he acts like a meat head. Sheila was right today, she wants fun and friendliness. If Shane didn't act like a Meat Head and respected her and socialised with his own wife then she wouldn't feel need to socialise as much with Gary although there shouldn't be anything wrong with a woman hanging around with a male friend.

Neighbours reveals reunion hopes for Yashvi Rebecchi and Ned Willis
Are there still feelings between them?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30148718/neighbours-spoilers-yashvi-rebecchi-ned-willis-reunion-hopes/

Neighbours has revealed that Yashvi Rebecchi and Ned Willis's romance may not be over.

The pair split up a few weeks ago as scheming Scarlett Brady managed to drive them apart, but the build-up to Christmas sees hints that Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) still has feelings for Ned.

Scenes airing on Thursday, December 19 see Yashvi resign from her job at the hotel as she wants to focus on preparing for the police entrance exam.

Although this is exciting news for Yashvi, Chloe Brennan can't help feeling disappointed as she'd secretly hoped that Yashvi and Ned (Ben Hall) might reconcile if they worked closely together for long enough.

Not giving up so easily, Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) decides to recruit Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) to help play matchmaker for Yashvi and Ned.

Unfortunately, Chloe's plan backfires badly and only leaves Yashvi and Ned feeling even more at odds than how they'd started.

However, one ray of hope is how Yashvi is clearly disappointed by how things have turned out.

Is this a sign that she still wants to be with Ned – and could the upcoming Christmas season bring them closer again?

Viewers have seen Ned on a downward spiral in recent weeks, getting involved in a dangerous fight club as an outlet for his anger after being stabbed by Scarlett.

Next week, Yashvi has to go to her father Shane for help as she's in danger herself after angering the fight club organisers.

Neighbours airs Chloe's plan on Thursday, December 19 at 12.50pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours drama as Shane Rebecchi's marriage with Dipi in trouble over Roxy Willis friendship
"He really cares for Roxy, and I think there may be a danger for Dipi."

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30386787/neighbours-shane-dipi-roxy-marriage-trouble/

Neighbours' Shane and Dipi Rebecchi will see their marriage in trouble over Shane's friendship with Roxy Willis.

In scenes airing in the week commencing January 13, Dipi (Sharon Johal) grows increasingly uncomfortable with how close Shane and Roxy are getting. Dipi is advised by Sheila Canning (Colette Mann) to try to 'recapture the spice' with Shane (Nicholas Coghlan).

Roxy (Zima Anderson) is upset after a confrontation with Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan), in the aftermath of Roxy's kidney secret being exposed.

Roxy gets heavily drunk and calls Shane, just as Dipi is planning a surprise for him.

Dipi attempts to communicate her discomfort about Shane's closeness with Roxy, but Shane brushes her off.

Later on, Shane reacts angrily towards Dipi – believing she's to blame when he finds out that he and Roxy have been given amended rosters at work, scheduling them apart. But Sheila reveals that she's the one who changed the rosters.

This leads Shane to finally realise that he's hurting his own marriage...

Zima Anderson, who plays Roxy, discussed with Digital Spy how Roxy and Shane's friendship could affect Shane and Dipi's relationship.

"[Shane] really cares for Roxy, and I think there may be a danger for Dipi as they are getting close," she said. "Neither of them see anything coming, but it's just nice that Shane does really care for [Roxy] a lot and Roxy does care for him as well.

"There could be possible danger in the future."

Shane is in for a shock.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a30741917/neighbours-spoilers-dipi-rebecchi-gary-canning-kiss/

Neighbours fans will see Dipi Rebecchi make a move on her friend Gary Canning next week.

Dipi (Sharon Johal) gives into temptation as she continues to stay at the Canning house following her recent issues with her husband Shane.

Early next week, Shane continues to worry about Dipi's growing friendship with Gary (Damien Richardson). Karl Kennedy makes matters worse by giving him regular updates about Dipi and Gary's movements next door.

When Karl reports back over a particularly cosy moment, Shane loses it and warns him to stop stirring up trouble.

Despite this, Karl continues to spy – just in time to see Dipi making a move on Gary in the hot tub.

A shocked Gary pulls away from Dipi's kiss without hesitation, leaving her horrified. Gary suggests they should forget it ever happened, but Dipi thinks it's better to tell Shane.

Before Dipi gets her chance to come clean, Karl spills the beans instead. Shane then confronts Dipi and Gary, forcing his estranged wife to confess all and confirm his worst fears.

Just when it looks like the Rebecchis' marriage may be reaching the point of no return, Dipi and Shane come together on Valentine's Day to discuss their issues rationally.

Both admit that, despite so much recent tension, neither of them wanted to hurt the other.

Shane now wants them to get back together and plans a romantic gesture for Dipi, but Terese Willis has something planned at the same location that could derail their reunion.

Fortunately, help for Dipi and Shane is about to come from an unlikely place…

Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, February 12, Thursday, February 13 and Friday, February 14 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours to air huge new storyline for Shane Rebecchi
His marriage is at stake.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a33364076/neighbours-shane-rebecchi-huge-storyline/

Nicholas Coghlan's Shane Rebecchi is set for a stressful time in Neighbours, as the drug problem around Erinsborough High School comes crashing down around him.

Revealed in Australian magazine TV Soap, upcoming scenes will feature Shane in a state of panic after recently buying pills to keep him alert during his studies – his daughter Yashvi becomes a big part of the school's investigation into the drug stash.

Concerned that his wife Dipi might learn about this ongoing drug problem, he desperately attempts to hide it, but she comes dangerously close to catching him out.

Although she doesn't manage to discover his secret pills, Shane's brief relief is turned into further paranoia when Roxy Willis comes across a blue bag containing drugs at The Waterhole – having taken some of Shane's hours while his comedown stretches out.

Roxy is compelled to call the police, yet she's stopped by Shane at the last minute as he confesses to owning the drugs.

Appalled by Shane's behaviour, Roxy goes on to give him an ultimatum: give up the pills or she's telling Dipi.

Choosing his marriage over getting high, Shane locks himself in a room at Lassiters where he forces himself to go cold turkey.

With a wave of horrendous withdrawals to battle, can he come out the other end a healthier person?

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi to spark huge family crisis in drugs storyline
Can Dipi and Toadie get through to Shane?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a33492393/neighbours-shane-rebecchi-drugs-storyline/

Warning: Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) is to spark a huge family crisis with a devastating drugs storyline.

TV Soap reports that the struggling Erinsborough resident is set to be given an ultimatum by wife Dipi (Sharon Johal) after she follows him and sees him buying pills from his dealer - following a relapse after Shane tried to go cold turkey from his drug dependency without his family knowing.

With Toadie (Ryan Moloney) on her side, Dipi stages an intervention, confronting Shane about his behaviour.

And, while Shane comes out of the intervention believing he's found a way to appease his concerned loved ones and protect his drug habit, is his world about to come crashing down?

With the storyline still to play out in both the UK and Australia, it seems fans will have to wait to see how a drug-addicted Shane gets out of the situation without being truly honest with his family.

The confrontation from his family members follows Shane previously being caught out by Roxy Willis, who agreed to try and help him get clean.

However, it was a move which actually sparked Dipi's jealousy and made her think Shane was being unfaithful.

Can Dipi and Shane's marriage survive yet more secrets? Only time will tell.

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi left devastated as Shane confesses his secret
Can they work things out?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a33618010/neighbours-dipi-rebecchi-shane-rebecchi-drugs-secret/

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi is going to be left devastated this week (if you're watching Down Under), as Shane Rebecchi's dark new drugs storyline takes a new turn.

Recently, an exhausted Shane has been using drugs in order to try to cope with all the stress in his life, although he has realised that he's in a dark place and needs to get out of it.

In the scenes (as reported by Australia's TV Soap magazine), Shane holes himself up in Colac in an attempt to clean himself up, which is where Toadie finds him huddled over and in a really bad place mentally.

As Shane opens up to Toadie about his problems, he claims that he has probably driven his wife Dipi away, but his brother says that his family will understand and forces him into the car in an effort to get him to open up to everyone.

When he gets back to Erinsborough, Shane realises that it's his 20th wedding anniversary and, out of guilt, elects not to go. After confiding in Pierce Greyson, Dipi confronts Shane and he emotionally tells her everything.

Although Shane vows to get clean, Dipi is absolutely devastated, and feels like their marriage may be over. Can Shane get back on track and patch things up?

UK viewers are three weeks behind, as this week sees Shane attempt to go cold turkey for the first time after Roxy Willis learns his secret.

Neighbours confirms big new storyline twist for Dipi Rebecchi and Pierce Greyson
Their marriages continue to deteriorate.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a34023818/neighbours-spoilers-dipi-rebecchi-pierce-greyson-twist/

Neighbours will see Dipi Rebecchi and Pierce Greyson grow closer and share a kiss as part of a new big storyline.

Both of the pair's marriages ? to Shane Rebecchi and Chloe Brennan respectively ? are in danger, with Dipi (Sharon Johal) upset over Shane's drug addiction and Pierce (Tim Robards) struggling with Chloe's pregnancy and Nicolette's feelings for his wife.

Things became more strained (via TV Soap magazine) between Chloe and Pierce when Chloe sadly suffered a miscarriage in scenes that aired last Friday (September 11) in Australia.

Pierce becomes frustrated when Chloe decides to continue with the baby shower for her mother Fay. At the baby shower, he turns to Dipi and they both take comfort in each other's company.

Chloe, finding it difficult to cope with the pressure, reveals her miscarriage to everyone present.

Pierce and Dipi both try to support their partners, but their respective relationships continue to deteriorate. When Chloe and Pierce take part in one of Dipi's cooking classes, a struggling Shane interrupts and causes a scene, angering Dipi.

Pierce defends Dipi and hits out at Shane, which leads to a huge argument between Dipi and Shane.

In the aftermath, Dipi and Pierce flee from their respective partners and find themselves confiding in each other at Lassiters over their potentially doomed marriages. They end up kissing.

The pair, feeling guilty, return to their partners the next morning. Dipi finds Shane continuing to struggle with his cravings, while Pierce sees Chloe turning to Nicolette for support and comfort.

Dipi and Pierce decide to keep their kiss a secret and try to salvage their marriages.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Why does this storyline keep happening? I know it?s a drama but is it really impossible for a healthy non-cheating relationship once in a while? Is it really impossible for an opposite sex friendship that doesn?t lead to romance?

Neighbours brings in Sharon Johal's real-life husband as body double for affair storyline
Dipi Rebecchi actress will be kissing her real spouse in Pierce Grayson scenes.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a34087140/neighbours-sharon-johal-real-husband-affair-story/

Neighbours has inducted Dipi Rebecchi star Sharon Johal's real-life husband into the soap as a body double, hiring him to perform kissing scenes with the actress.

The soap has confirmed that a new storyline will see Dipi and Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) embarking on a shock affair as both of their marriages struggle. Dipi and Pierce will soon be seen sharing a passionate kiss, which they decide to keep secret from their respective spouses, Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) and Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, intimate scenes are currently off the table for all soaps with actors having to socially distance from one another on set, but Australian newspaper Sunday Herald Sun has revealed that Neighbours is making Dipi and Pierce's romantic scenes look more realistic by hiring star Sharon's finance executive husband, Ankur, to film on-screen kisses with her.

Ankur revealed to the paper that Sharon actually made him rehearse for the scenes, saying: "My wife made me practice 'pretend kissing' the night before, which is such a weird concept. I thought my kissing skills were up to scratch but obviously not."

He added that Sharon is delighted to be working on such a big story, saying that "her pride in her work requires her to tell the story and perform to the best of her ability however she can, (and) on this occasion that included having me to help in those pivotal scenes".

Sharon joked that the affair story has seen her having to kiss too many men, particularly since Tim has now left his role as Pierce and actor Don Hany has taken over as the character.

"I had to be intimate with four men over the course of this storyline ? my on-screen husband Shane, Pierce played by Tim Robards, Pierce played by Don Hany and my real-life husband," she said. "There were definitely three men too many for me."

https://www.instagram.com/p/CFV1sDyhlZt/?utm_source=ig_embed

The actress has also shared a photo on Instagram of herself sitting on a bed with Ankur, who is dressed in the same suit as the real Pierce actor in the background, which she captioned, "Um. WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on here?!"

Neighbours isn't the only soap that has decided to use the real-life partners of its actors in order to film intimate scenes, with the UK's own EastEnders and US soap Bold and the Beautiful also adopting the tactic in order to film romantic moments safely.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Digital Spy article. Neighbours has confirmed that Shane & Dipi's son, Jay, will be arriving:

Neighbours confirms plans to expand the Rebecchi family
Shane and Dipi's son is coming to Ramsay Street.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a34405506/neighbours-spoilers-jay-rebecchi-arrival-confirmed/

Neighbours bosses have confirmed that the Rebecchi family will be getting another member later this year.

Show chiefs are finally planning to introduce Dipi and Shane's absent son Jay, three years after the rest of the family moved to Ramsay Street.

Speculation over Jay has been mounting in recent days, after a leaked script appeared online which appeared to reveal his imminent arrival.

When approached by Digital Spy, a Neighbours spokesperson exclusively announced: "We can confirm that, yes, there is another Rebecchi coming to Ramsay Street ? stay tuned!"

Digital Spy understands that further information on Jay and his arrival storylines will be revealed at a later date.

A number of Neighbours cast members have spoken about Jay over the years.

In 2019, Olivia Junkeer ? who plays Jay's sister Yashvi ? told Digital Spy: "Oh my gosh, I know! I want to meet Jay Rebecchi too! I hope so. I think it will happen eventually. It's definitely on the cards.

"I think it'd be great to have another Rebecchi family member. It'd be a really tight squeeze in the house!"

Sharon Johal, who plays Dipi, also told Digital Spy this year: "I personally as an actor have found it very hard to reconcile Dipi not having her middle child living with the family.

"She is a strong mother bear figure and would protect her lion cubs at any cost, but Jay isn't there. There has to be a big juicy reason ? writers, do your thing!"

Nicholas Coghlan, who plays Shane, has also referenced Jay's mysterious lack of visits.

He told Radio Times: "Yes, there is this boy called Jay who is at boarding school in Sydney, but never visits. It's never been explained why that is.

"He is the middle child between Yashvi and Kirsha. I think that's how it works ? don't quote me! There is still talk of him, so he's got to appear at some time surely."

Jay's arrival could come amid a turbulent time for the Rebecchi family, as Shane has been struggling with a drug addiction, while Dipi is currently having an affair with Pierce Greyson.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours star Sharon Johal confirms exit for Dipi Rebecchi
"I am so excited for what the future holds."

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a35701855/neighbours-sharon-johal-dipi-rebecchi-exit/

After four years playing Dipi Rebecchi, Neighbours actress Sharon Johal is officially on her way out of soapland.

She announced the news herself on Instagram today (March 2) via a lengthy post, explaining: "Some of you may have seen this coming but to be honest I put the motions into play over a year ago.

"A number of reasons brought me to here, however inevitably my ambition for growth has ultimately been the decider."

Johal went on to share her excitement "for what the future holds", before revealing that she's been shadowing director Tenika Smith in the hope of producing her own content.

"I am so utterly grateful for the opportunity and 'break' this iconic show has given me. A show that has run for 35yrs+ requires no commentary, it speaks for itself.

"I have learnt and grown so much in this time technically, professionally but also mentally as this job is rewarding yet challenging in so many ways," she continued.

Further on, the Dipi star acknowledged the unsociable working hours for a production of this scale, and the "long-term exhaustion" she's endured as a result.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CL7mHWXBg0x/?utm_source=ig_embed

"If I learnt anything during lockdown, it was to question what the point of 'all of this' was and to prioritise what serves me and my family ? for now, it's this," she noted.

"I value all that I've learnt. I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends, the crew, writers, make-up, costume, art and pre/post production departments on the show, on screen and off.

"The producers for choosing me as an actor and supporting this next stage of my career-it's never really GOODBYE is it?"

Racism.

I saw a comment on the instagram post yesterday calling her out for her dress sense. Something like: I like Dipi but wish she wouldn't have her boobs out all the time. Cover up, please.

And Sharon Johol even replied, 'feel free not to look'.

Er, okay.

There has been persistent (but of course, unconfirmed) rumours around for quite some time now that Nicholas/Shane was leaving, & even recent reports (also unconfirmed) saying that he finished filming in Dec. Now that Shane & Dippi have reconciled onscreen, & the latest spoilers mentioning that Dippi asks Shane to move to Sydney to be near family, I will be very surprised if they don't leave together (newspaper reports mention that Sharon/Dippi's final episode will be at the end of March in Aust).

It does all line up, but it's a shame.

I guess Yashvi would stay behind? I saw her on an advert for a different show on ABC. Why Are You Like This. Only a 6-parter so not necessarily a reason to leave.

Really hope there's no killing off.

I agree there's been way too much of that in recent years.

Neighbours confirms guest return for Dipi Rebecchi after her exit
Shane's exit is also made official.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a35920509/neighbours-dipi-rebecchi-guest-return/

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has revealed Sharon Johal will be returning as Dipi Rebecchi in a guest capacity after her exit.

Viewers in Australia have seen Dipi and Shane planning to move to Sydney for a fresh start and to be closer to their children Kirsha and Jay, with their final scenes as regular characters airing within the next couple of weeks.

Executive producer Jason Herbison confirmed (via TV Tonight) that both characters are leaving Ramsay Street ? the first official confirmation of Nicholas Coghlan's departure ? while adding Dipi will be seen again sooner than expected.

"From their opening scenes four years ago, Sharon and Nick were completely committed to their characters and performance," he said.

"They embraced some really challenging storylines as well as capturing loads of fun moments which have endeared them to the Neighbours audience here and in the UK.

"While Shane and Dipi are moving on for now, like all families on Ramsay Street, the door is always open and in fact Sharon will be returning for [a] guest appearance very soon."

This week on 10 Peach, Dipi has been looking for a manager to run Harold's in her absence.

Nicolette Stone, who already works at the cafe, expressed interest and interviewed for the role, with Chloe Brennan offering to mentor her to make up for her lack of management experience.

Dipi and Shane's departure will affect Yashvi in particular. Future spoilers reveal she will consider her future in Erinsborough, with her boyfriend Ned Willis discovering she has been applying for jobs in Sydney.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Sharon Johal and Nicholas Coghlan exit scenes air as Dipi and Shane say goodbye
Jay Rebecchi makes a brief appearance.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a35979849/neighbours-dipi-shane-exit-scenes-air/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Neighbours has said goodbye to Dipi and Shane Rebecchi in new scenes on Australian screens today (March 30).

10 Peach viewers have seen the reunited couple making plans for the past few weeks to move to Sydney for a fresh start as well as to be closer to their children Kirsha and Jay.

Tuesday's episode was Sharon Johal and Nicholas Coghlan's final episode as regulars, as they finished packing and departed from Erinsborough.

It proved to be an emotional final day for Dipi and Shane, as there were goodbyes with Susan and Karl Kennedy, Sheila Canning, Toadie Rebecchi, Yashvi Rebecchi, and Mackenzie Hargreaves.

During the episode, there were questions over whether Yashvi would be moving with her parents.

Ned Willis found out from Yashvi's aunt Mishti Sharma that she had been looking into the possibility of a job in Sydney. Ned was devastated by the revelation, and things were tense between the couple. But Ned ended up providing support for Yashvi as she saw her parents leave Ramsay Street.

There was even a cameo from Dhruv Malge, who reprised his role as Jay Rebecchi. He appeared via video call, as he and Mackenzie discussed his parents' move to Sydney.

At the end of the episode, Dipi and Shane were seen off by Yashvi, Ned, Mackenzie, Sheila, Toadie, Nell, and Hugo. These scenes will air in the UK in four weeks' time.

This won't be the last time fans will see Dipi, as executive producer Jason Herbison recently confirmed that Sharon Johal will be back for a guest appearance.

Starting from tomorrow on Australian screens, the show will air its new set of opening titles which you can watch here.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Meh. If Dipi and Shane were going to leave, then having Dipi leave with Pierce and Shane leave to get her back or confront her/Pierce would be more compelling than erasing the impact of the affair and driving off into the sunset together.

Pierce's exit was rushed, so perhaps there was originally more to it.

Off-screen or guest spots to undo/redo the storyline is a bit lame and would make Shane look like a complete chump for giving up Amy only to be betrayed again but it may not even happen.

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi returns in Yashvi car crash aftermath
Sharon Johal makes a guest appearance.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a36887724/neighbours-spoilers-dipi-rebecchi-return-yashvi/

Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Neighbours has aired Sharon Johal's return as Dipi Rebecchi on Australian screens today (June 30).

The star's final scenes were broadcast back in May on 10 Peach, but it was known for some time that she would be making a guest appearance during the summer.

Wednesday's episode saw Dipi rush back to Erinsborough to be by her daughter Yashvi's (Olivia Junkeer) side, after Yashvi and Levi Canning were involved in a serious car crash during their pursuit of criminals Mitch and Nelson.

Yashvi's injuries were serious to the point where she had to have surgery. But thankfully the operation went well, and she woke up to see her mother next to her.

Dipi suggested Yashvi could spend some time in Sydney while she recovered.

She then got her hopes slightly up that Yashvi and her ex Ned Willis could get back together after Ned rushed to the hospital and showed genuine concern. But those hopes looked like they were dashed by the end of the episode.

Amy Greenwood currently lives at Toadie Rebecchi's house. And while the pair tried to avoid each other considering their history, Dipi walked in on Amy and Ned kissing.

In April, Sharon discussed the racism that she experienced on set following Shareena Clanton's comments. An independent review is currently being conducted in light of claims made by several former cast members.

UK fans will see Dipi's return in four weeks' time on Channel 5.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours star Olivia Junkeer confirms exit for Yashvi Rebecchi
"My family on the show had left, and I think it was time for me too."

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbours/a36926217/neighbours-olivia-junkeer-yashvi-rebecchi-exit/

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours' Olivia Junkeer has confirmed she's leaving as Yashvi Rebecchi after more than four years on the show.

The star's final scenes will air next week on 10 Peach in Australia in the aftermath of the dramatic car crash that put her in hospital. Former regular Sharon Johal recently returned as Yashvi's mother Dipi as part of the exit storyline.

Yashvi's departure comes just a few months after Dipi and Shane left for Sydney.

"I needed a change!" Olivia told TV Week magazine. "My family on the show had left, and I think it was time for me too.

"I've been working on Neighbours since I left school, so I think I need to experience something different. Four and a half years seemed like a good time to experience something new."

Olivia added that she was happy with Yashvi's "open-ended" exit.

"Yashvi has had such a journey," she said. "She came to Ramsay Street as a rebellious teen, but walked away a mature, self-assured young woman, similar to my own experience walking onto the set for the first time."

And when asked whether she would consider returning one day, the star replied: "Of course! I don't think I can ever properly say goodbye to Ramsay Street."

At the time of Dipi and Shane's exit, Yashvi seriously considered following her parents to Sydney, but stayed in Erinsborough to remain with her boyfriend Ned Willis.

But Yashvi and Ned recently broke up, and with Ned now getting close to Amy Greenwood, it looks like Yashvi will decide to move on as well.

Yashvi's exit airs in the UK in five weeks' time.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

The UK will see her final scenes in four weeks' time.

Neighbours has aired Yashvi Rebecchi's exit on Australian screens, as star Olivia Junkeer shared a goodbye message on Instagram.

In today's episode (July 13) on 10 Peach, a recovering Yashvi began packing all of her stuff on her final day in Erinsborough.

She initially acted quite distant with her friends, as she tried to delay facing saying goodbye to her friends.

But eventually, Yashvi shared a warm goodbye with Levi Canning, and then at her surprise farewell party with the likes of Mackenzie Hargreaves, Toadie Rebecchi, and her ex Ned Willis.

Afterwards, she departed to catch her flight with Dipi and reunite with the rest of her family, including Shane, Kirsha, and Jay.
