Summer Bay's serial fire-starter looks ready to again put the lives of the residents in danger. In this week's red-hot episodes of Home and Away, the person behind the deadly bushfire - we know it was John (Shane Withington) - steals a can of petrol from the shed at the surf club. Is the Bay's own Jekyll and Hyde about to unleash a fiery fury on the town? The last fire he set had a devastating effect on the community. The blaze ripped through the Summer Vibes music festival, leaving Billie with injuries that led to her death. John's own wife, Marilyn (Emily Symons), was badly burnt. Now, she's potentially scarred for life. How could you, John? In truth, the man hasn't been himself of late. In fact, he hasn't really been right since he fell over on a boat last year and banged his head badly. This week, he's beginning to act strangely and aggressively towards others - and people are starting to notice. First, he drops off Marilyn at the hospital for rehab on her injured hand. When Alf later asks him how Maz's appointment went, John seems puzzled by the question. Then, his brain clicks into gear. He suddenly realises he's forgotten all about his wife. She's still waiting for him at the hospital! "John knows something is wrong with him, because he's getting angry all the time & forgetting things," Shane, 58, tells TV WEEK. "But, he's a bit scared to look into it - he hopes it will go away." Later, he grumbles around the house and snaps at Maz as he prepares for work. "He's aggressive towards her, which is really unusual," Shane says. Alf brings up John's out-of-character behaviour with Marilyn. She dismisses it as being stress-related, but is clearly worried there's something wrong. "He's having strange outbursts and weird turns," Emily, 47, says. "Marilyn's a bit concerned about him. She thinks perhaps something else has happened as a result of his original injury that she doesn't know about." Will John's condition worsen? Meanwhile, policewoman Kat is doing all she can to discover the identity of the arsonist. One slip-up is all it would take for the truth to be finally known. Will she catch him out?

- Close Encounters. Olivia And Hunter Share A Tender Moment.

Love is back on the menu this week when Hunter & Olivia get cosy at the diner. In this week's episodes, the former couple are forced to work at close quarters when they help out at the local food spot. Hunter (Scott Lee), Olivia and Evie are all pitching in at the diner while the community deals with the shocking fallout from the bushfire. Hunter, however, may be putting on a brave face. He's struggled to be around Olivia since she moved on with Mason. "He's sad that it's come to this," Scott, 23, says. "They didn't want to break up. He knows deep down they love each other, so it's even more heartbreaking." After avoiding each other for hours, the pair finally open up when a batch of burnt muffins smokes out of the kitchen. As talk leads to the bushfire, Olivia wells up. In her distress, she seeks comfort in Hunter's arms. But, sensing things are going too far, he pulls away. The next day, Mason arrives at the diner to help out, he notices Olivia is acting strangely. She doesn't tell she'd been with Hunter. But when Alf spills the beans, she's left feeling terribly guilty. Mason then confronts his girlfriend's ex and asks whether he wants to get back together with her. Hunter is forced to deny there's anything going on between them. Later, he asks Olivia about the steamy embrace the previous day. When she says it was nothing, a frustrated Hunter tells her he doesn't believe they can be friends anymore. Is it really over between the former couple?

Evie and Matt decide to go sailing around the Greek Islands with Maddy. But Evie is torn when she gets a letter of acceptance for a teaching scholarship in Vietnam. Will she go ahead with the trip to Europe? Or will she abandon her holiday to further her career?

No, Shane/John isn't leaving any time soon (plus I saw someone comment on another site earlier today that he had been seen filming just recently). We don't know exactly what his condition is at this stage, other than it has to do with the head injury he received when he fell & hit his head getting into a boat a while back. From the spoilers it looks like we are going to find out more about what is actually wrong with him in the next week or two.
