Coronation Street spoiler: Kerry Bennett joins the cobbles one day after being killed off in Hollyoaks
Actress Kerry Bennett has been pictured on the Coronation Street set just one day after quitting Hollyoaks.
The star, who played Eva in the soap, was killed off on the first look show on E4 last night, after Tamara Wall’s character Grace finally took her bloody revenge.
Now she has been spotted filming Corrie scenes with Adam Barlow actor Sam Robertson, hinting at a huge soap swap.
The pair were pictured filming outside Man United footballer Juan Mata’s house in Cheshire on Tuesday morning.
However, a Corrie spokesperson confirmed that Kerry is taking on a guest role, and will only star for “a couple of episodes”.
It would be one of the swiftest turnarounds in soap history, as Kerry’s Hollyoaks character only met her end this week.
She has been planning her attack ever since Eva shot her best friend, Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks) on New Year’s Eve.
Viewers watched tense scenes, which saw Eva and her boyfriend, Grace’s brother Liam (Maxim Baldry) attempt to run away together.
However, while the pair thought they’d made it as they boarded a train, they were unaware Grace had followed them on-board.
As Liam got up from his seat, he left his girlfriend behind – unaware of the danger that awaited her.
Returning shortly after, he made a gruesome discovery, finding her shot dead in her seat.
As Liam shouted for help, the train stopped at the next station and Grace, disguised all in black, stepped onto the platform with a satisfied smile.
The shock twist will put Grace’s character’s future on Hollyoaks in question, as there will no doubt be a murder investigation launched.
Speaking about her time on the show, Kerry said: “I’ve had such an amazing time and felt so welcomed and supported from the start.
“I’m sad to be leaving – 6 months has flown by way too fast – but it feels awesome to have been involved in such a great storyline on such a fabulous production.”
