EastEnders is lining up fresh turmoil for Mick Carter as he lands himself in financial trouble following his decision to bail Lee out of his mess.

Last night's episode of the soap saw Mick (Danny Dyer) give a struggling Lee a lifeline by offering to pay off his mounting debt.

However, his kind gesture comes with consequences as Mick soon finds himself in a similar position as he subsequently struggles to financially support his wife Linda and her seriously ill mum Elaine.

Linda is currently looking after Elaine after she suffered a stroke abroad, but as Elaine didn't have travel insurance, they're now facing a huge bill to get her home.

Scenes airing next week will see Mick desperately search for a way to find money to help the pair, but with his hands tight, he is eventually forced to go to desperate lengths.

You'll have to tune in to find out what exactly Mick does, but he also makes another surprising move when he demands that Lee send back a birthday present.

The events soon lead to a bitter clash between Aunt Babe and Whitney, but the bigger worry really lies with Mick. Will he be able to find a way out of his money problems?

EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.

Monday

Mick resorts to desperate measures to come up with money to help Elaine and Linda.

Later, a conversation with Denise at the Minute Mart gets Mick thinking. After coming to a surprising realisation, he tells Shirley that Buster cheated on her and he suspects it was with Denise.

Meanwhile, it's a difficult day for Amy and Ricky as it's their first day at their new school. Jack is also having a tough time as he learns the truth from the coroner. This leads to a huge argument between Jack and Glenda.

Elsewhere, Denise isn't impressed with the baby shower that Carmel has thrown for her and decides to end it early. Later, Libby arrives and reveals that she's decided to stay for the birth.

Also today, Phil returns home from the hospital, while one of Louise's schoolmates Keegan winds her up.

Finally, Babe continues to cause trouble, while Tina seeks help from Mick as she tries to learn how to ride a bike.

Tuesday

After attending her latest scan, Denise reveals that she's being induced later this week.

Following Mick's secret tip-off, Shirley starts pushing Denise for information on who the baby's father is. After speaking to Sharon, Shirley decides to confront the issue head-on and corners Denise in the toilets. Will the truth about Denise's baby be revealed?

Meanwhile, Michelle sneaks off after her farewell party at The Vic, but what is she hiding?

Elsewhere, Abi and Johnny have been tasked with preparing the food for Italian night at the club, but Johnny is no help when he holds a party with his friends in the kitchen. Abi is finally pushed too far when Ben teases her, prompting her to storm out and leave Johnny alone.


Thursday

After an emotional few weeks in Walford, secrets are set to explode for some of the residents.

Meanwhile, Dot worries about her cat.

Friday

Denise heads to the hospital to be induced as planned, but there's a surprise in store when Kim arrives unexpectedly.

Denise decides that she wants both Kim and Patrick to be there during the birth, but will she finally tell her sister about her adoption plans? And will she go through with giving up the baby?

Meanwhile, Whitney and Lee present Mick with a thoughtful present for his birthday, but Mick secretly tells Lee to return it as they need the money. Later, Babe turns nasty with Whitney by telling her that she's ruined Lee's life.

Elsewhere, Bex admits to Stacey that she still has feelings for Shakil, but he's not the only boy in her life as Keegan winds her up.
