Pete and Leyla

I may have got the characters mixed but I seem to recall Pete and Leyla being set up on some kind of date about 18 months/2 years ago. They ended up agreeing that they had absolutely nothing in common and decided not to take things any further and just remain as friends. I was therefore totally surprised to find Pete asking Leyla out a few months ago, as if they had never been on any type of date before! Can someone please tell me I've got this wrong.

I remember a few months ago they went on a date, thought they had nothing in common, got back together and Leyla thought he wanted her to move in. It then seems they forgot about this whole thing.
