Emmerdale fans may recognise the show's newest recruit, as Ben Gerrard has actually appeared on the ITV soap before.

The actor, who made his first appearance as Ashley's carer Will in last night's episode (December 14), was also in the show back in 2012, playing a completely different character called Luke.
Luke was brought in to rile killer Cameron Murray by flirting with his on-off love Chas Dingle, but if that's not ringing any bells then he may be remembered from his roles in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street too.
Ben played Cameron Clark in Hollyoaks for four years - the love interest of Lisa Hunter, played by Gemma Atkinson. Coincidentally, he is now starring in the same show as Gemma once again, as she is obviously part of the Emmerdale cast.
After that, he appeared in Coronation Street in April 2013, playing Dan Barrett - a sonographer seen on screen with Tina McIntyre when she was acting as a surrogate mother for Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong.
As well as his numerous soap roles, Ben has also starred opposite Stacey Solomon in an advert for Iceland. Busy guy, eh?
Ben's character Will has been brought in as part of Ashley's ongoing storyline. Ashley is currently facing the daily challenges of living with dementia, which has left his wife Laurel in despair recently as his condition seems to be deteriorating rapidly.
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
