Here's something you don't see every day - EastEnders extra Shrimpy getting a storyline of his own. Well, kind of.
The BBC soap has revealed an exciting new batch of Christmas spoilers today featuring many of our favourite characters, but perhaps the biggest surprise is seeing Shrimpy included as part of the Walford festive drama.
We'll see Shrimpy get a rare moment in the spotlight when the market traders come together for a boozy party a few days after Christmas.
Donna Yates (Lisa Hammond) takes the opportunity to enjoy some flirting with Shrimpy at the gathering, but their cosy moment is cut short by Roxy Mitchell.

It seems that Roxy is spiralling out of control in the build-up to her exit from the show, but we'll just have to tune in to find out how understanding Donna is.
Shrimpy has been a regular fixture of life on the market since April 2014 and Digital Spy has given him a few shout-outs this year – including when we were very surprised to spot him in the final scene of the Harry Potter movies.
Could this be the start of Shrimpy getting much more involved in all the Walford action? We doubt it, but you never know!
EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, December 30 at 8pm on BBC One.
