That explains why she leaves with Luke
Is the actress actually leaving though???
Is the actress actually leaving though???
There have been pictures of her filming scenes with Luke and suitcases but not seen anything confirming a permanent exit, probably just part of a storyline.
Coronation Street's Cathy Matthews will make a devastating discovery as she prepares to marry Roy Cropper this month.
As Cathy (Melanie Hill) readies herself to marry Roy, it's becoming increasingly clear to viewers – and his closest friends – that Roy may not actually love her.
Roy's true feelings about his impending marriage will become all the more apparent during an honest conversation with Tyrone Dobbs and Brian Packham, who implore him not to go through with the wedding.
Despite their advice, Roy will plough ahead with the big day, unaware that his confession was actually caught on dictaphone.
And although these pictures show that Roy does actually make it to the church, the worst is still to come when Cathy learns the extent of his doubts.
The day gets off to a good start as Cathy excitedly prepares for the ceremony and makes peace with her sister Nessa. However, things soon take a turn when Cathy hurries home to find the dictaphone she had been using to rehearse her vows, worried she will forget the lines otherwise.
As Roy nervously waits in the church, Cathy takes out the dictaphone with the intention of going over her vows one last time, but she listens to Roy's devastating admission.
Covering her shock, Cathy walks down the aisle anyway to Roy – and as the wedding gets underway, Mary delivers a reading.
But although several of their guests are touched by the words, the ceremony grows awkward as Roy and Cathy remain unmoved. And when Tyrone makes his way to the front of the church to deliver his reading, Cathy is unable to keep her emotions in check any longer and demands to know if Roy really wants to marry her.
Cathy goes on to explain that she overheard his conversation with Tyrone and Brian on her dictaphone – but will Roy be able to offer Cathy the assurances she needs? Or is their wedding day destined to descend into disaster?
Coronation Street airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, December 12 on ITV.

Coronation Street villain Pat Phelan will find his life hanging in the balance after he is brutally attacked and left for dead later this month.
It's actually Andy Carver who is responsible for putting Phelan in a coma, but he will then deviously deflect the blame onto Kevin Webster - who has his own grudge with the builder.
The start of a dramatic week on Weathefield will see Phelan learn of the hate mail that his partner Eileen has been keeping from him and it doesn't take him long to suspect that Anna Windass is penning the poison letters.
Spotting yet another opportunity to bring Anna down, Phelan will relay to Eileen that Anna is behind the vicious campaign. But while a horrified Eileen believes it is a police matter, Phelan persuades her to let him deal with it.

Phelan discovers the hate mail which Eileen been keeping from him
ITV
Poor Anna is in the middle of dealing with a host of personal issues relating to her recent injuries when Phelan menacingly confronts her in the cafe, revealing that he knows she's behind the poison pen letters.
Phelan also warns a vulnerable and shaken Anna that he will call the police if she gives him any more grief, later reporting back to Eileen - telling her he had a 'quiet word' with her.
However, Anna's supportive partner Kevin is seething when he learns of Phelan's latest attempt to frighten her and furiously approaches him in the builder's yard.
It doesn't take long before Kevin loses his temper with a smug Phelan, but he is stopped in his tracks by Luke, who manages to haul him away.

EMBARGO 1/12/2016 Luke pulls Kevin away from Phelan
ITV
However, Luke heard enough of Kevin's fight with Phelan to get an idea of what the conman is up to, and he relays his suspicions to Andy - telling him that he thinks Phelan had something to do with Michael's death.
Luke's words only serve to confirm Andy's suspicions, and he decides to take revenge, later appearing from the shadows as Phelan locks up the builder's yard.
As Andy approaches, he hits an unprepared Phelan over the head with a brick, causing him to slump to the ground. Andy doesn't wait around to see if Phelan survives the attack, and ironically it is his girlfriend Steph Britton who discovers Phelan's lifeless body the next day.

Phelan is soon rushed into hospital where he remains in a critical condition, but back on the Street, rumours are flying around about who put him in such a state.
And unfortunately, it looks like Kevin is in the firing line for a crime he didn't commit. After conveniently learning that Kevin had been seen heading to the builder's yard around the time of the attack, Andy will use the knowledge to his advantage and relays the information to the police.
To make matters worse for Kevin, Eileen is also convinced that Kevin had something to do with it as well, still believing that Anna was behind the nasty letters.
But while it looks like Kevin could be facing police charges, the big question is how much Phelan will remember when he wakes up. (And let's face it, we know that he will...)

I don't like the idea of Andy blaming Kevin
Blaming Kevin, and the violence itself, seem really out of character for Andy. It's not as if Michael was even his real dad, and he'd only known him for a couple of years. More nonsensical writing... :wall:

Monday (1)
Cathy takes a call from Roy telling her that Tyrone can no longer make the wedding. Cathy then hurries home to pick up her Dictaphone, worried that she'll forget her vows. Once she's retrieved it, she heads off for the wedding in an excited mood.
At the same time, Brian and Tyrone set off to the church, determined to clear the air with Roy. Outside the church, Tyrone and Brian tell Roy how sorry they are for their earlier harsh words. Roy accepts their apology and insists they stay for the wedding.
Soon afterwards, the guests and a nervous Roy gather in the church awaiting Cathy's arrival. Nessa begs Cathy to let her give her away and Cathy reluctantly agrees.
When Nessa nips off to make sure Roy is ready, Cathy takes out her Dictaphone, intending to go over her vows one last time. Will she discover the accidental recording of Roy's confession?
Meanwhile, an emotional Anna confides in Kevin that Peter wants her out of the flat as he's moving back in. She also tells Kevin that she won't be going to Roy and Cathy's wedding as her scars are so painful. How will Kevin comfort her?
Elsewhere, in an attempt to call a truce, Peter offers to run Robert and Nick to a wine tasting and thanks Nick for all that he's done for Simon. Will this thaw Nick?
Also, Norris offers Mary a lift to the wedding but it's obvious Mary is avoiding him, Andy accompanies Gail to sprinkle Michael's ashes, while Michelle and Steve discover the sex of their baby. (baby boy :D)

Monday (2)
Covering her shock, Cathy walks down the aisle and joins Roy. With the wedding under way, Mary delivers a reading. Audrey, Rita and Fiz are touched by it, but Roy and Cathy remain unmoved.
As Tyrone makes his way to the front of the church to deliver his reading, Cathy turns to Roy and demands to know if he really wants to marry her, as she overheard his conversation with Tyrone and Brian on her Dictaphone.
Will Roy be able to offer Cathy the heartfelt assurances she so badly needs and convince her to go ahead with the wedding?
Meanwhile, Anna breaks down in Kevin's arms and admits that she's ashamed of her body and doesn't want him to see it. Kevin holds her tight, with his heart breaking for her. When Kevin suggests to Anna that she and Faye should move in with him, will Anna accept his offer?
At the same time, Phelan discovers the hate mail which Eileen has been keeping from him and is touched that she's been trying to spare his feelings. Phelan moves in for a kiss, but Eileen recoils and suggests he should move out. As Phelan approaches Number 11, he spots Anna slipping a letter through the door. Is she behind the poisonous letters?
Elsewhere, Peter drops a tipsy Nick and Robert back after their wine tasting. When Nick makes childish jibes at Peter, Leanne drags him into the Bistro and orders him to sober up.
Also, Steve shows Amy the scan photo of her baby brother but Amy plays it cool.
Finally, Mary becomes defensive when Norris mentions her past, while Chesney is put out when Sinead makes it clear that she's not keen on getting married.
Wednesday
Phelan reveals to Eileen that Anna is behind the vicious letters. Eileen is shocked and wants to call the police, but Phelan makes out that he feels sorry for Anna and persuades her to let him deal with it.
At the same time, Anna finally shows Kevin her scarred body as he assures her that she's still beautiful in his eyes. Later, finding Anna alone in the café, Phelan menacingly reveals that he knows she's behind the poison pen letters and that if she gives him any more grief, he'll call the police. Clearly shaken, what will Anna do?
Meanwhile, Brian insists that Roy should take the day off, but the café is left in disarray with Brian struggling to cope.
Elsewhere, with no taxis available, Robert is stressed as he wonders how they're going to deliver a huge food order. When Michelle offers to drive the Bistro van, Robert kisses her fondly, which doesn't go unnoticed by Zeedan. Is he onto something?
Also today, having witnessed a kiss between Luke and Tracy, Amy tells her mum that she's pleased that Luke is her new boyfriend. Calling at the garage, Tracy begs Luke to join them for tea as Amy is convinced he's her boyfriend, much to Kevin and Tyrone's amusement. What will Luke's reaction be?
Finally, Norris hands Mary an official looking letter, explaining that he's been doing some research into the past she left behind. How will Mary respond to this?
Thursday
Phelan assures Eileen that he had a gentle word with Anna. Soon afterwards, clearly seething, Kevin approaches Phelan in the builder's yard and accuses him of deliberately setting out to destroy Anna. When Phelan mocks him, Kevin flies at him in a rage. Luke arrives and hauls Kevin away.
Later, Luke tells Andy about Kevin's fight with Phelan and how he reckoned Phelan had something to do with Michael's death, confirming Andy's suspicions.
As Phelan locks up the builder's yard, Andy appears from the shadows and hits him over the head with a brick. Phelan slumps to the ground. As Steph discovers Phelan's lifeless body, is it the end of Phelan?
Meanwhile, having bought Michelle a huge TV for Christmas, Steve wonders where he can hide it.
At the same time, Robert and Michelle deliver the food order to some lads having a house party. When the lads refuse to pay, Michelle feigns labour pains and Robert grabs the food and hurries back to the van with Michelle following close behind him. As Michelle and Robert head home in good spirits, Michelle has a proposition for him.
Elsewhere, Brian and Tyrone do their best to talk Roy out of his decision to sell the café, but Roy is adamant it's for the best for him and Cathy. Pointing out the 'for sale' board outside the café, Brian begs Cathy to try and make Roy change his mind.
Also, Mary tells Norris that she'd like to accept his help.
Finally, Luke joins Tracy and Amy for tea at Number 1. How will Luke handle the heat when Amy quizzes him closely to make sure he's suitable boyfriend material?
Friday (1)
As Phelan lies unconscious in a hospital bed, Eileen confides in Todd that Anna has been sending him hate mail and she suspects Kevin may have attacked him. In the café, Andy overhears Tim telling Sally that he saw Kevin, clearly wound up, heading for the builder's yard at around the time of the attack.
When Anna and Kevin learn of Phelan's plight, Kevin is pleased but Anna is worried he could find himself in the frame, even though he's innocent.
The police question Steph and then Andy about finding Phelan after his attack. In an attempt to deflect the blame, Andy tells the police what he overheard in the café and suggests Kevin is their prime suspect.
The police then call at the garage and question Kevin. Kevin admits that he hates Phelan's guts, but assures them he didn't try to kill him. Will Phelan regain consciousness, or has Andy put an end to his evil deeds once and for all?
Meanwhile, Norris, Dev, Erica and a nervous Mary set off to Newton-le- Willows, hoping to find some answers about her past.
Elsewhere, David finds himself railroaded by Sarah into joining Chesney, Sinead, Billy and Todd for a night on the town.
Also, after spending the night with Maria again, Adam is loved up but Maria remains distant and Adam ends up feeling put out.
Finally, excited at the prospect of Robert moving in, Liz sets about cleaning the back room, but will Robert trust his growing reservations over his feelings for Michelle?
Friday (2)
Andy does his best to remain calm as talk of Phelan's attack spreads. With his nerves in shreds, will he be able to hide the gruesome truth from Steph and the police, or are they onto him?
And will Phelan make a recovery, or is it now a murder investigation?
Meanwhile, Mary returns home having failed to find the missing piece of her past. She tells Norris, Dev and Erica that she's calling off the search, but can Norris encourage her to persevere?
Elsewhere, shrouded in grief, Gail shows Bethany the haul of presents that she'd bought for Michael and wonders how on earth she'll get through Christmas. Sarah reveals that she's bought tickets to a gig as a Christmas treat. But when it becomes apparent that she's invited Gary too, Bethany hides her dismay.
Also, having entered a busy club, Billy, Todd, Sinead and a reluctant Chesney hit the dance floor while David remains at the bar. A woman called Shona parks herself next to him and tries to chat him up, but David is unresponsive. However, things turn from bad to worse for David when he makes a shocking discovery.
