As Coronation Street heads towards airing six episodes per week, the ITV soap is expanding with a new street, new sets and new characters.
Alongside fresh homes for the new regulars, there will be a school, a police station, a supermarket and a court, which sets the scene for more criminally good viewing.
According to The Sun, the new road will be built next to the existing cobbled streets of Viaduct, Rosamund, Victoria and, of course, Coronation Street on the ITV Trafford Wharf Studios backlot.

The show, which recently moved to Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, its third home since the soap began in 1960, is apparently fighting the government over an intrusive train line.
Bosses at ITV are complaining the new Metrolink line will disrupt the set with noise pollution from the local station's announcement and the building of the tracks will cause vibrations across the cobbles.
It's all a million miles away from the former days of Hilda Ogden actress Jean Alexander, who sadly died this week at the age of 90.
