It's a 'future funeral' so it won't be Holly's. Anyway, we all know Holly is dead, why would they be mysterious about who's funeral it is?

Monday
The first four episodes of this week focus on the same 24 hour period, but from the point of view of a different character group. Today's episode focuses on Aaron and Robert.
As we see a flashforward to an upcoming funeral and some of our favourite characters mourning at the graveside, it's clear that imminent doom lies ahead for one of the villagers.
There's also a quick glimpse of Aaron appearing to drown in a lake, until we're brought back to the present with Aaron emerging from the bath.
It's a big day for Aaron and Robert, as Robert is planning to propose to his boyfriend today. However, Lachlan throws a spanner in the works when he decides to take action against Robert, suspicious of his relationship with Rebecca.
Tuesday
The first four episodes of this week focus on the same 24 hour period, but from the point of view of a different character group. Today's episode focuses on Rhona and Pierce.
We're given our next glimpse into the future as the mystery funeral continues. We also see Pierce staring at his bloody hands and down at Paddy, who's also covered in blood.
Back in the present, Pierce spills some red paint and later rows with Rhona about Paddy. Things get so bad that he decides to leave the village.

Upset over the argument, Rhona decides to gatecrash Paddy and Marlon's camping trip with Leo.
Soon afterwards, Pierce calls Rhona to apologise. She tells him she's at home, unaware that he's actually back in Smithy Cottage himself. With Pierce furious over being lied to, what will he do next?
Wednesday
The first four episodes of this week focus on the same 24 hour period, but from the point of view of a different character group. Today's episode focuses on James and Emma.
James is falling in our next glimpse of the future, but back in the present day, he's just falling out of bed.
With Emma out, James carries out an act of defiance by scrawling "I DO NOT" across their wedding vows.
Still desperate to escape Emma's clutches, James gets an idea when he hears a lorry outside. He tries to get the driver's attention from the window, but he has no luck.
James then panics when he overhears Emma chatting to the driver outside. Now back, will Emma manage to ruin James's plans for a great escape?

Thursday 1
The first four episodes of this week focus on the same 24 hour period, but from the point of view of a different character group. This episode focuses on Ashley and Laurel.
The latest flashforward to the future shows Ashley lying on his side, covered in blood.
Back in the present day, it's clear that Ashley is struggling ahead of Dotty's christening. Laurel notices this and offers to postpone the christening today, but Ashley won't hear of it.
Sadly, it all becomes too much for Ashley at the church and he forgets what's going on.
Thinking that he's carrying out the christening for someone else, he tells everyone that he's forgotten who the parents are. However, Ashley is left devastated when he remembers that he's actually holding his own daughter and momentarily forgot who she was.
Later, all four of this week's huge Emmerdale stories come together, resulting in a terrible event.

I hope Rhona and Paddy don't get back together. He's done too much to be forgiven. Would probably still be seeing Tess if she was alive.

It irritates me when soaps go on about alternate endings for cliff hangers being recorded. It's obviously a publicity stunt, as someone has earlier said, episodes are recorded in advance. I'm just mildly annoyed that producers think viewers believe everything they say.

Although Ashley's dementia has a massive affect on him in a recent episode, he does make it past Christmas. He will be killed off in Spring of 2017.
James Barton is the one who gets killed off in the Emmerdale storylines. But the question is, how? Is it by Emma, or someone completely different?!
Over on Emmerdale, here's a first look at Aaron Dingle's outrage when he overhears Lachlan White threatening Robert Sugden.
Robert (Ryan Hawley) is currently busy planning to propose to Aaron, but his careful preparation for the romantic moment is interrupted when Lachlan pops up to cause even more trouble.
As Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) is suspicious over Robert's relationship with his aunt Rebecca, he decides to intervene by making a disturbing threat to Robert that he won't forget in a hurry.
Lachlan claims that he'll pretend Robert has been sexually abusing him - even giving him a sick sneak preview of what he'll say - but Aaron (Danny Miller) is listening to every word and is appalled by what he's heard.

Wanting to put Lachlan in his place, Aaron grabs him angrily and forces his head under some water to teach him a lesson.
Nearly being drowned leaves Lachlan shaken, but the worst is still to come when Aaron decides to make his message even clearer by kidnapping him!

Emmerdale fans are buzzing after Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle's special episode last night - but it looks like the next visit to the Dales will be just as compelling.
These brand new pictures offer a fresh insight into tonight's episode, which begins with another tantalising flashforward scene offering a glimpse of the future.
Love rivals Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Pierce Harris are shown staring at their bloody hands in horror - a sign that their ongoing tensions over Rhona Goskirk are about to take a very dramatic turn.
When the episode then rewinds back to the start of the day, Paddy and Marlon (Mark Charnock) head off on a camping trip with Leo - oblivious to the potentially life-changing events ahead.
With Paddy and Marlon gone, this leaves Pierce and Rhona facing their first big row as a couple as they clash bitterly over Paddy's presence at Leo's play last week.
Then when Pierce finds out that Rhona has lied to him about Paddy for a second time, it's the final straw for him and he decides it's time to take action.
With at least one character set to die, could Pierce or Paddy be left in the firing line?
Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona, recently teased: "Rhona feels a bit sad and lonely. She wants the company of people that she knows make her feel happy, and that's Marlon and Paddy, so seeks them out. They're on a camping trip with Leo in the woods.
"She uses the excuse that she's found Leo's bunny that he's forgotten to take. Then Rhona gets a bit drunk. She has a bit of a heart-to-heart with Paddy, but then Pierce finds out she's there, so it becomes a bit explosive again."
And with the action all building up to one catastrophic stunt, it's probably the worst time for tensions to be running high.
Jonathan Wrather, who plays Pierce, told us last week: "There's a spot during these episodes where Pierce sees a really convenient way of getting rid of Paddy when the paramedic on the scene is asking if there's anyone needing to be rescued. The darker side of Pierce's character sees that it would be good to keep Paddy out of the equation at this point.
"But everyone has a motive and everyone is thrown into this cataclysmic event and, at that point, it could be anyone. That's what's brilliant about these episodes and the writing - it could go either way for any of the characters involved."

Well I hope Pierce dies. I hate him. He isn't even good looking. Not that Paddy is either! :D But I would like Rhona and Paddy patch up their marriage-they clearly still love each other.

I always say that to my other half when watching Pierce, that "he isn't even attractive!". He's so smarmy and weird. And Rhonda hasn't once stopped to ask herself the question why Tess cheated on him with Paddy, if Pierce was such a great guy.

I do think Pierce is attractive, but his character ruins it. He's beyond creepy and I'm surprised Rhoda doesn't see it. I suppose she's still at that early relationship stage when jealousy seems endearing.
It's inevitable that she and Paddy will get back together, but I really wish she would tell them both to take a hike. Paddy is a serial cheater and will never change - Rhona and Leo deserve better.

Brace yourselves, because the explosive drama just keeps on coming in Emmerdale.
It's already been a turbulent week, with Robert and Aaron getting caught up in a shock car crash... then Paddy and Rhona following suit. And with four more episodes still to go this week, the writers are clearly just warming up.
Tonight the focus shifts to troubled couple Emma and James Barton (Gillian Kearney and Bill Ward), as we once again rewind back to the start of an eventful day for the village.
Poor James is being held captive by his unstable wife, but if these brand new pictures are anything to go by, he's about to get his chance to escape.

As Emma lies unconscious on the floor, does this mean that James has overpowered and attacked her in a desperate bid for freedom?
And already struggling with a leg that he's broken (twice!), will James really be able to escape from Emma's clutches?
After the episodes we've already seen so far this week, our best advice to James is to steer clear of all roads to be on the safe side...
All of Emmerdale's episodes this week are set on the same day, telling the story of a 24-hour period from the perspective of different character groups.
Thursday's double bill will see all four of this week's storylines finally converge into one terrible stunt which will kill off at least one character.
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.

Does anyone know for sure james barton is dying out of emmerdale or could be going another way? We know he is leaving but not how just yet
You may have seen this one coming, but Emmerdale's catastrophic stunt has finally been revealed in full for the first time.
After a week of tense cliffhangers, it's been revealed that the show is planning a devastating car pile-up involving several of our favourite characters.
We've already seen Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden about to crash their car in the road, after all the drama of a Robron proposal distracted their attention for a moment. And let's not forget they also have troubled teen Lachlan White locked up in the boot.

Paddy Kirk and Rhona Goskirk have also been shown about to collide with a crashed car in the middle of the same road, as their decision to rush off in hot pursuit of Pierce Harris went horribly wrong.
Now James Barton has escaped the clutches of his unstable wife Emma after she held him captive, which has brought him to the Road of Doom (which seems to have a magnetic pull!).
Thursday's double bill will see Ashley Thomas thrown into the mix as his dementia symptoms continue to worsen.
Believing he's late for his daughter's christening, Ashley heads off in the car that he hasn't driven for months - which brings him to the site of the disaster too.

Without giving too much away, viewers are in for a treat as the scenes are pretty spectacular.
As well as involving big-name characters, they incorporate several other cars and vehicles on the road - making this one of Emmerdale's biggest ever stunts with a huge scale.
Danny Miller and Ryan Hawley, who play Aaron and Robert, also filmed in a special underwater set at Pinewood Studios for dramatic scenes which see their car plunge into a lake as part of the drama.
John Middleton, who plays Ashley, told Digital Spy recently: "What brings Ashley to this point is that it's the day of Dotty's christening, but Ashley has had another severe deterioration in his condition. We assume that he's had a mini-stroke, so he wakes up on the day totally confused.
"He has to be constantly reminded of what's going to happen, first of all by Arthur and then by Laurel, who helps him get dressed. He comes down wearing a suit but still wearing his pyjama bottoms, things like that.
"Then they go to the christening, where there's a real moment of crisis because he forgets why he's there and whose this baby is. It's the first time we've seen Ashley not recognise a member of his own family."
http://digitalspyuk.cdnds.net/16/40/768x510/gallery-1475759318-20-10-emmerdale-1st-ep-01.jpg
Laurel Thomas and Ashley Thomas in Emmerdale

John added: "They get through that and he's having a lie down. Then he wakes up in a panic. He knows that something important has got to happen on this day. He looks in his memory book and sees Dotty's christening.
"So there's no-one in the house, he rushes out, forgets he can't drive and gets into the car. That's what brings him to this awful moment we've been creating.
"So his dementia has taken a dive for the worse, but it's now been put in this extraordinarily dramatic context."
We know at least one main character will die, but only in the final scene of the week will we find out who.

I can see that happening ... think Emma would push him, she is well upset now
Dominic Brunt (Paddy) has said on Good Morning Britain that more than 1 character could die today ... cast were not allowed to say anything like that before today but as it will be revealed today, they are allowed to say that much .... :hmm: Wonder if one death could actually be an extra like the tram driver in Corrie in the train crash ... or just another red herring ?
Yeah I think too that James will be the cause of the crash and will die instantly. I wonder whether Ashley is another one to die.. I'm just hoping it would be pierce but doesn't look that way..
