Is this the moment that Father Jack Callahan finally turns his back on his calling as a priest in Neighbours?

The confused man of the cloth has spent weeks trying to ignore his secret lust for Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), but he finally gives into temptation next week when she's involved in a horrific accident.

Paige is one of the central characters who feature in Neighbours' upcoming hot air balloon stunt, which sees Erinsborough's resident villain Jacka Hills take drastic measures to get his revenge.

Targeting the Willis family after Ned slept with his wife Regan, crazed Jacka sabotages a hot air balloon which is carrying bride-to-be Lauren Turner and her loved ones as part of her hen celebrations.

With Lauren, Paige, Piper and Elly Conway all inside, lives of much-loved characters will hang in the balance as the balloon comes crashing from the sky.

When Jack gets involved in the fallout by rushing to Paige's rescue (how many times is that now?), tensions run high between the pair when he finds her in a bad way.

With so much at stake, Jack (Andrew Morley) finally confesses his true feelings for Paige and the pair cross the point of no return by sleeping together in an abandoned barn.

There are clearly no regrets between them as they share this loved-up moment in the aftermath of getting steamy together, but just how long will that really last for?

Not too long, it seems, as Jack soon starts to feel deeply ashamed of his actions and realises that he can't perform his priestly duties anymore. No kidding, Jack...

So, does this mean that Jack has finally chosen Paige over the church? We'll just have to wait until next week to find out.

We hope not, but things certainly aren't looking too good for either of them in these brand new spoiler pictures which reveal the aftermath of the upcoming disaster.

Neighbours airs one of its biggest events of the year next week as Lauren's hen celebrations take a deadly turn thanks to dangerous villain Jacka Hills.

After being released from prison on a technicality, Jacka is determined to make Ned Willis and his family pay after the brooding charmer slept with his wife Regan.

Despite having already laid one lethal plan, fearsome Jacka spots a second opportunity to get even when he learns that Lauren (Kate Kendall) will be taking to the skies for a hot air balloon adventure with some of her loved ones.

Lauren is in high spirits as she celebrates up in the air with Paige, Piper and Elly, but it's not long before they realise something is terribly wrong with the balloon, which then goes crashing down to earth with an almighty bump.

Neighbours' exciting new spoiler pictures offer a tantalising glimpse of the absolute carnage that follows, with debris everywhere and lives hanging in the balance.

And judging by the pictures, it seems that Lauren and Elly have most to worry about as the accident leaves them both in a bad state.

With a number of Ramsay Street residents rushing to the rescue after realising something is horribly wrong, could they witness a loved one passing away?

Neighbours are keeping pretty tight-lipped about the outcome, but it has been confirmed that the crash will cause at least one death, multiple injuries and spark new storylines which run for weeks and months to come.

A Neighbours statement teased: "As friends and loved ones on the ground watch the unfolding horror, they rush to the crash site to save whoever they can.

"But things are never that straightforward. Debris hampers their efforts and causes further chaos, sacrifices have to be made, and one Ramsay Street regular will be faced with an immense moral dilemma."

It may seem unthinkable to most Neighbours fans, but the show's upcoming hot air balloon stunt could mark the end of Karl Kennedy's medical career - forever!

When Lauren Turner's hen celebrations go disastrously wrong next week, good old reliable Doctor Karl (Alan Fletcher) is one of the first on the scene to treat the wounded. As usual.

But if he knew what was to come for him as a consequence, poor old Karl might have just stayed at home...

Jacka's murderous act leaves lives hanging in the balance as Lauren, Paige, Piper and Elly all find themselves in an out-of-control balloon that's hurtling straight back to the ground.

These brand new spoiler pictures show Karl doing what he does best in the aftermath, as he helps his friends and neighbours in their time of need.

He also has a particularly tricky job on his hands when it comes to treating Jacka's own wife Regan (Sabeena Manalis), who gets caught up in the disaster too.

And Karl's grandson Ben Kirk (Felix Mallard) is there to witness it all, getting upset as the pressure mounts.

Neighbours fans will have to tune in to find out just how heroic Karl is on the day, but it's been confirmed that the tense aftermath sees him facing malpractice allegations over his treatment of one of the injured.

Karl also knows deep down that the situation is serious, having made a controversial decision at the crash site which could come back to haunt him.

Has Karl just destroyed his reputation as Erinsborough's most trusted medic?

Really don't like the Paige / Jack story .... I certainly understand the sexual tensions the producers are trying to replicate .... forbidden lust etc .... Jack is really going to regret this - Paige is just too jealous of anyone who gains his attention for 5 seconds .... he wants to do good things in life, Paige is just too selfish for this relationship to last ... but that's soap !!!

The whole Paige and Jack thing is annoying but they are meant to be. And that kind of love is divine. Jack can be with the girl he loves and still do good work. I just wish they'd get it together because it's so tiresome. At least with Paul and Terese the back and forth is entertaining

Jack starts to reject Paige with guilt complex over the church ....... usual Paige strop ..... throws a tantrum ..... later Paige declares she is pregnant after one (shed) stand .... Jack after guilt complex goes back to Paige ...... Paige still too demanding for Jack over his good works (wants him all to herself as usual) .... another strop ...... accident happens and she loses the baby ...... both think its Karma, Jack for betraying the church and his beliefs ... Paige ... blames everyone else ... Paige and Jack split for good .... Jacks career in the church ruined for good. Paige continues to sulk for the world .... ok story line sorted .... don't need to see either of them on the screen again ......

While Paige has been annoying during this storyline, I've found Jack just as unwatchable. If he changes his mind yet again after sleeping with her, I won't blame her in the least for being upset about it. He made the decision to do so knowing there was no going back. It would be true to form if he blamed her for tempting him too!

If Olympia is staying on for longer as recently reported there will be plenty of time now to meet Paige's adoptive father. It could be interesting and I'd welcome a break from concentrating on her love life.

Yeah her love life is getting a little tedious but Paige and her father coming to blows since he knowingly adopted ber illegally and what has the show said about Paiges dad cause I don't know a lot

Well whatever the reason it probably saved lives. Also I'm no expert in balloon crashes but the way they were located after the crash doesn't seem right. You would think they would be fairly close together,either in the basket or very close by.
