Ethan is trying to avoid Alicia, but they end up going out to a cave rescue together. While there, they meet Gaynor, who got lost during a run. They make a great team as they rescue her, but when debris starts falling in the cave, Ethan has to reassure a claustrophobic Alicia.
They can't deny the chemistry between them and Alicia invites Ethan to the pub. They then go back to hers and Ethan ends up playing nurse as Alicia has drunk too much.
Meanwhile, Louise is excited about her meeting with the trust over funding for the new relatives' room, but they won't give her a penny. Noel manages to get free second hand goods offline, but it's all mismatched and tatty. Determined not to give up, Louise asks Noel to help her make a flyer to encourage donations, which soon come flooding in. Louise has made a difference and it feels good.
Elsewhere, Connie goes home and Jacob tries to help her settle in but she tells him to leave. However, she later calls him back as she wants to be at the hospital by Grace's side.
