Recuperating after his attack, Fletch falls out of bed in the night. When he subsequently loses feeling in his feet and legs, Raf is increasingly alarmed. He asks Guy to check Fletch over, but Guy is in the middle of a very delicate procedure.
In the meantime, Raf and Bernie do a lumbar puncture on Fletch and when he doesn't feel the needle, Fletch is terrified. Raf urges Fletch to stay optimistic, but in a heartbreaking moment, Fletch asks Raf to look after his kids if anything happens to him.
Later, Bernie finds Raf outside, despairing about Fletch's condition. He fears they are running out of time to make a diagnosis, but will he make a breakthrough before it's too late?
Meanwhile, Jasmine wants to know when Ollie will tell Zosia they are together. Ollie tries to broach the subject with Zosia, but he finds it tricky.
Later, Ollie congratulates Zosia on a successful performance in theatre and wonders if she remembers how intense it was when they first started seeing each other. This leaves her thinking he wants to revive their relationship. However, when Jasmine drags Ollie into a store room for an illicit snog, Zosia catches them.
