EastEnders couple Lee Carter and Whitney Dean share a heartwarming moment later this month as they attend their first baby scan together.

Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) sets aside his doubts about fatherhood to be at Whitney's (Shona McGarty) side as they get a precious first look at their unborn baby.

Of course, this is EastEnders, so the day wouldn't be completely without drama. First off, Whitney and Lee are surprised to come face-to-face with Denise Fox at the hospital, unaware that she's expecting a baby too.

Tensions are also running high over Linda's continued interference over the baby, especially when she insists on knitting something for her future grandchild.

With Linda fussing at every moment, Whitney finally snaps and reacts badly to her well-meaning behaviour.

All the dramas are forgotten when Whitney and Lee share their touching moment together at the hospital, but with Lee set to leave Walford in the coming months, we have to ask – just how long will this happiness last?

Monday

With the Sylvie situation still causing tension, Sonia is keen to put herself and Bex first for once. She asks Ian if Bex can have a day off. but Ian's response is far from friendly.

Later, things finally start to look up for Sonia when she gets a very exciting phone call. What news has she received?

Meanwhile, Sonia also has a heart-to-heart with Jane, who admits that things aren't going well in her relationship with Ian at the moment.

Elsewhere, Denise distracts herself from her pregnancy by setting up Masood and Carmel for a romantic dinner. Although Masood is due to go travelling soon, he admits to Carmel that he's now having second thoughts.

This is clearly welcome news for Carmel, who's still holding out hope for a future with Masood. Sure enough, it's not long before they're sharing a kiss.

Also today, Lee continues to question how good he'll be as a father, while Buster continues to cause tension on the market.

Tuesday

Sonia has been offered a new job away from Albert Square. It's clear that she's hoping for a completely clean break as she doesn't want Tina to come with her.

As Sonia starts to solidify her plans, it's decided that Bex would stay with Stacey and Martin if she goes ahead with the move. However, when Sonia shares her intentions, Tina jumps to the conclusion that she and Sylvie would make the move with her. How long will it be before the truth dawns on Tina?

There's also yet another dilemma for Sonia when Martin claims that she's being selfish by leaving Bex behind. With so much at stake, what will Sonia decide to do?

Meanwhile, Carmel is on a high now that she's back with Masood, especially in light of his decision not to go travelling. Unfortunately, it's not long before Carmel hears some upsetting news from Denise.

Elsewhere, Ian has a revelation for Jane as they open up over their relationship issues.

Thursday

Denise strikes up an instant bond with her English teacher when she attends her first class.

Denise even invites the teacher out for a drink, but she has to change her plans suddenly when Carmel gets drunk and she's forced to look after her.

When Denise and Carmel talk about their problems, will any truths come to light?

Meanwhile, Mick wants to take Linda's mind off the Ollie situation, so he makes big plans for the upcoming darts match at The Vic.

Friday

Concern is rising for Denise on the day of her baby scan. While Kim decides to attend the scan to support her sister, Patrick is also suspicious over what's going on with Denise.

Kim also has some very surprising news to share with Vincent...

Meanwhile, it's also the day of Whitney's baby scan and she comes face-to-face with Denise at the hospital.

Tensions are also running high over Linda's continued interference over the baby, including her insistence on knitting something for the child after a lesson from Dot. How will Linda react when Whitney finally snaps and reacts badly to her fussing?

Also today, the darts match takes place at the Queen Vic but it's quickly thrown into chaos.

Lee Carter and Whitney Dean are surprised to see Denise Fox at the hospital in EastEnders.

Ben Mitchell will receive a devastating blow on EastEnders next week as he perseveres with his liver transplant plans.

Last night's episode of the soap saw Ben (Harry Reid) make the life-changing decision to give his liver to his dying dad Phil. But he'll learn that the process is a lot more complex than he first realised when he seeks medical advice.

Although Phil has some serious concerns about his son sacrificing his liver for him, Ben insists that he's going forward with the transplant regardless.

True to his word, Ben goes along to one of Phil's routine hospital appointments and speaks to the doctor about the possibilities of becoming Phil's donor.

However, the pair are knocked back when the doctor explains the risks, crushing their fresh hopes of Phil making a recovery.

Not wanting to hear the news, Phil storms out, but with Ben determined to save his dad, what will they do now?

They take a piece of bens liver, transplant it into Phil, it will grow back in Ben and grow in Phil into a new liver for him.
"Because the liver has a unique ability to regenerate (grow back) when part of it is removed, a living donor’s liver will grow back to almost its normal size after recovery from surgery."

It all depends though on the state of Phil´s liver .. if it is too damaged already, he will need a complete liver, not just a piece of one. However, I guess that the usual soap healing in next to no time will occur once more :p

I read that they just take the old one out, replace with the donor liver and it will grow
