View Full Version : EastEnders Spoilers 5th - 9th Sep 2016
EastEnders will air highly emotional scenes next month as Les and Pam Coker say a final goodbye to their beloved grandson Paul.
Les (Roger Sloman) and Pam (Lin Blakley) have been struggling to cope after Paul was killed in a homophobic attack – and it seems that the strain is really taking its toll on their relationship as the day of his funeral arrives.
With problems mounting up ahead of the service, Les finds himself confiding in his friends Claudette Hubbard and Patrick Trueman over his difficulty supporting his devastated wife Pam.
Pam, meanwhile, finds solace in her sister Mim, who arrives in Walford ahead of the funeral. After days of refusing to see Paul's body, Pam is eventually encouraged to say a final farewell to her grandson alone.
After Pam's emotional goodbye to Paul, Les leads the procession as the funeral commences.
However, despite their friends all being on hand to offer their support to the grief-stricken couple, Pam grows increasingly frustrated by Les's businesslike approach to the day.
Will the funeral prove too much for the Cokers to handle?

The dramatic moment comes after Ben and Jay try their best to take revenge against the thugs who killed Paul, but it looks like they've underestimated their enemies and found themselves out of their depth this time.
With the Mitchells needing all the help they can get, Grant (Ross Kemp) returns to Albert Square once again (he can't keep away!) in the hope that he can get Ben and Jay back.
Grant's timing couldn't be better, as Phil's health takes a turn for the worse in the middle of the family crisis. These brand new pictures show the moment that Phil suffers a shock collapse, taking him out of action when Ben needs him the most.
As Grant steps in and takes control, will he be able to find Ben and Jay? Or will he find himself in danger too?

Thursday
Emotions run high on Albert Square as the day of Paul's funeral finally arrives. It's clear that the Cokers are at odds, as Les feels that he's struggling to help Pam get through the devastating situation.
Pam reveals her own thoughts to her sister Mim when she arrives for the funeral, admitting that she feels like Les is treating her as a customer rather than his wife.
After days of resisting it, Pam is later convinced to see Paul's body and say a final goodbye to him. Will this provide the closure she needs?

Friday
Paul's wake takes place at the Queen Vic, but the trouble for the Cokers isn't over.
Pam gets upset when Les's speech in tribute of his grandson seems cold and unemotional, so she rebukes him for the way he's handling the situation.
As the rift between the Cokers comes to a head, Pam has a surprising suggestion for how they can get through this - but what is it? And will Les agree?
Meanwhile, Johnny starts to wonder whether he should have attended the funeral, but Linda assures him that Ben would understand why he couldn't face it.

Does Ben miss Paul's funeral and where is Paul's mother?
The Mitchell clan is looking depleted tonight thanks to a dramatic episode of EastEnders that saw four family members leave.
Scenes just broadcast on the BBC1 soap saw Grant return to Portugal in the company of his daughter Courtney, while Mark went back home to America. Viewers also witnessed Jay pack his bags after admitting that he no longer felt welcome in Albert Square.
Earlier in the episode, fans were left wondering whether Grant would reveal to Mark that he is his biological father. After deciding not to, Mark eventually went on to work out the truth out for himself, although Grant remains unaware that his son is now in full possession of the facts.
Before exiting Walford once again, a penniless Grant managed to find time for a heart to heart with brother Phil, who handed him a wad of cash to help his sibling start over. But speaking recently, actor and documentary maker Ross Kemp revealed that he doesn't believe we'll be seeing Grant again anytime soon:
"I think they're done with me," he told Digital Spy. "When they invited me back, it was under an old producer - they've not mentioned to me that they want me to go back again."
Actress Alice Noakes, who plays Courtney, also revealed that she had completed her filming on the show: "I'm in for a few episodes and we'll have to see about the future. I had such a fun time filming there."
Back on the Square, though, there still looks to be plenty of drama ahead for the Mitchells currently remaining in E20.

Friday's cliffhanger saw Ben decide to be a live liver donor for Phil, while an upcoming storyline will lead to the departure of both Ronnie and Roxy - actresses Samantha Womack and Rita Simons having made a mutual decision with show bosses to go as part of a joint exit plotline.
