Coronation Street will delve into the Tinker family's backstory next month as Craig's father makes an appearance for the very first time.
Paul Loughran, best known for his past role as Emmerdale's Butch Dingle, has been cast as Craig's dad Darryl and has already filmed his scenes. And yes, that is the same name as Craig's pet rat.
While Corrie aren't giving away too many details just yet, the storyline will see Craig (Colson Smith) come face-to-face with his estranged father after some shocking revelations.
Next week's episodes see Craig's 18th birthday spoiled by the discovery that his dad has been in and out of prison for several years.
Craig's mum Beth confesses that she feels partly responsible for Darryl's life of crime, as she was the one who shopped him to the police after his first offence - sending him on a downward spiral.
Of course, the news devastates Craig, who feels that Beth (Lisa George) has lied to him for his whole life. To add insult to injury, Craig only finds out the truth when his application to join the police is rejected as he failed to disclose a family member's criminal conviction.
Sounds like an 18th birthday to remember for all the wrong reasons...
With emotions running so high, Craig's eventual meeting with his father is bound to be tense - but will he get the answers that he's looking for?
