Meanwhile, Hollyoaks mechanic Joe Roscoe will betray his fiancée Mercedes McQueen after she gets carted off to prison.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) is about to find herself in trouble with the law when James Nightingale finds evidence linking her to a drugs deal and hands it to the police.

James grasses Mercedes up as a favour to Joanne Cardsley, wanting to help her with her mission to claim Joe for herself.

It seems that James's plan will have the desired effect when Joe becomes furious with Mercedes, refusing to have any contact with her now that she's behind bars.

With Mercedes' world falling apart, Diego tries his best to help her. Peri suspects Nico could be behind Tom's mystery illness, while Myra is floored to learn Diego has a secret. Meanwhile, a stranger arrives in Hollyoaks Village but someone isn't pleased to see them.

Tuesday, August 30

Joanne discovers that Joe still has feelings for Mercedes, and Diego locates Maria, who makes him an offer he can't refuse. Meanwhile, Warren tries to get Darren and Maxine to go into business with him. But will Darren make a deal with the devil?

Wednesday, August 31

Joanne resorts to desperate measures to keep her man, while Alfie gets a surprise call from his hero. Warren declares war when he discovers Maxine's sabotage plans, but it's Darren and Nancy who are in real trouble when their past comes back to haunt them.

Joe is refusing to speak to Mercedes, who is in prison after last week's events. Diego is doing what he can to help free Mercedes, but he can't get hold of Maria.

Later, Joanne is delighted when Joe asks her to join him for some wine and they end up kissing.

Meanwhile, Cameron tells his cousin Courtney that she's not welcome when she arrives for his dad's will reading. When Courtney and Cameron continue to lock horns, Leela is stuck in the middle.

Elsewhere, Tom is preparing to leave for London when he starts being sick. He tells an elated Peri that he's staying after all, while Courtney persuades Tom to let Peri look after Steph. However, Peri is suspicious that Nico has something to do with his ill health.


Tuesday

When Joanne hears Joe talking to Myra, she realises he still has feelings for Mercedes.

Despite this, Joe later announces that he and Mercedes are finished.

Meanwhile, Diego tracks down Maria and records a confession, but he's tempted when she asks him to run away to Bali with her.

Elsewhere, Warren offers Darren and Maxine their old space at the garage to run the cab business. Will Darren make a deal with the devil?


Wednesday

Maxine is spiralling out of control and asks Joe to stop the sale of the garage to Warren. Nancy pales when she thinks she might have left a brooch in the woods when they buried Patrick, so she and Darren go back to look for it.

Later, Warren declares war on them all when his new banner arrives for the garage and it's been sabotaged by Maxine.

Thursday

Darren and Nancy fear for their lives after Warren's revenge, but Sienna urges them to tell the truth about Patrick if they want to go home. At the same time, Warren opens 'Warren's Wheels', despite Maxine's efforts to sabotage him again.

Later, Nancy panics when Darren starts having a heart attack. Warren refuses to call an ambulance and Nancy decides to tell them where Patrick is buried to save her husband.

Meanwhile, Marnie is jealous of Neeta's return, but Neeta is unsure whether she still wants to be with Mac.

Elsewhere, Peri tells Nico she loves her, but obsessive Nico takes it the wrong way. Soon afterwards, the girls are horrified when they make an unwanted discovery that could change the lives of everyone in the village forever.
