Over on Emmerdale, Paddy Kirk is about to receive a huge shock as he makes an unexpected return to the village.

Paddy (Dominic Brunt) arrives back with high hopes of winning back his estranged wife Rhona, unaware that she's already moved on by starting a relationship with Pierce Harris.

When Paddy re-joins the Dales, his first surprise is finding his best friend Marlon Dingle partially dressed with his new girlfriend Carly Hope, which reveals that they're an item.

Marlon gives Paddy a warm welcome back, but is horrified when it becomes clear that Paddy never received the letter that Rhona (Zoe Henry) sent him to tell him about her and Pierce.

Although Marlon intends to fill Paddy in, he misses his moment when Paddy slips out and pays a visit to Rhona with some flowers.

Paddy can't believe his eyes when he finds Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) and Rhona together, but how will he react to the news that they're now a couple?

Monday

Lisa has arrived at the morgue alone to identify Belle's body. Zak is hot on her heels, insisting that he should be there, so Lisa relents and they go inside together. Soon afterwards, Bailey is on tenterhooks as Zak and Lisa return and reveal the news.

Later, Zak and Lisa are united in grief. Joanie calls Zak as she's upset he hasn't returned, but will he return to his wife or continue to comfort his ex?

Meanwhile, when Pierce's phone pings with a text from Carly, Rhona is tempted to read it but manages to stop herself. Rhona eventually admits to Pierce what she was about to do, confessing that she fears being cheated on again. When Pierce reassures Rhona by revealing that he loves her, how will she respond?

Elsewhere, Holly begs Megan to give her another chance at 'Take A Vow', but she refuses. Will Megan change her mind?

Also today, Liv and Lachlan continue to spend time together in secret, while Bernice wants to stir things up to get Andy's name cleared but Robert insists they need to take things slowly.


Tuesday

Hour-long episode

Paddy makes a surprise return to the village, but he's horrified to stumble across Marlon and Carly partially dressed at Tall Trees. Marlon welcomes Paddy back, but is horrified to realise that he doesn't know about Rhona being with Pierce, despite the letter that Rhona had sent.

Later, Paddy slips out and returns to Smithy before Marlon has a chance to fill him in. Paddy can't believe his eyes when he finds Pierce and Rhona together, but how will he react to the news that they're now a couple?

Meanwhile, Bernice invites Chrissie to drink some wine with her. Unaware that Bernice is recording their conversation, Chrissie soon becomes annoyed with her constant questioning about Andy. Getting nowhere, a desperate Bernice picks up some clippers.

Elsewhere, Lawrence is concerned by Lachlan and Liv's new friendship. He suggests they play cricket to keep an eye on the pair, but ends up doubling over in pain during the game.

Also today, Joanie catches Zak in a lie as he tries to cover the fact that he's been spending time with Lisa.

Finally, Laurel begs Rishi for more weeks' work and then lies to Kerry, pretending Rishi is forcing her not to take full maternity leave.


Wednesday

Lachlan receives a message from his 'dad', which tells him not to come to Thailand.

When Lachlan's reply indicates he's about to confess to something, Robert is excited to think he's finally got to the truth. Will his elation turn to disappointment?

Meanwhile, Paddy tries to apologise to Rhona but she snaps back, insisting there's no point in talking. Desperate to prove that Pierce is not the nice guy he pretends to be, Paddy tags along on a bike ride with Carly and Pierce. Will Paddy's plan work?

Elsewhere, Kerry pushes Ashley into having a go at Rishi for forcing Laurel to work, but Laurel intervenes and reminds Ashley it was her decision.


Thursday

Lachlan panics when the police arrive to question him. Seeing the messages from "Donny" on his laptop, Lachlan hurls it across the room in a rage.

Later that day, an angry Lachlan attacks Robert for impersonating his dad, but Robert manages to anger him even more.

Meanwhile, Laurel is thrilled when Ashley organises a picnic for her with musical entertainment. They have a lovely day, until talk turns to their uncertain future.

Elsewhere, Cain is in a bad mood as his divorce papers have come through - and things get worse when Moira urges him to sign the papers. Charity is determined to see them split for good.

Also, Kerry asks Rishi to consider her as temporary cover for Laurel and is delighted when he offers her a trial as supervisor.

Finally, Paddy badgers Marlon about his friendship with Pierce, but is hurt when Marlon bluntly points out it's for Leo's sake.


Thursday (2)

When Laurel starts having twinges, she tells Rishi the baby is coming. However, once Laurel gets to the hospital, she's told that it was a false alarm and she is sent back home.

Later, Ashley goes upstairs to run Laurel a bath, but her waters break. Ashley is shocked when he returns downstairs to find her in labour.

Meanwhile, Charity urges Cain to stop denying that he wants her. She covertly sends a text from his phone then begins seducing him. Moira shows up just as Charity is kissing Cain and he's furious to realise Charity set this up. But will Charity's plan backfire?

Elsewhere, Kerry is having teething problems in the new role and starts to realise that she may not be managerial material. Later, Kerry is delighted when Rishi thanks her for looking after the factory while he was busy dealing with Laurel. Will Kerry bury her doubts about doing the job?

Also, Chrissie warns Robert to stay away from Lachlan, but he's outraged by her threats. Robert convinces Aaron they need to fight the Whites.

Finally, Lachlan lashes out at Liv, while Chas and Marlon are both concerned over Paddy's delusions of winning Rhona back.


Friday

As Laurel remains in labour, is Ashley really prepared to help her with a home birth?

Meanwhile, Rhona tells Paddy they need to move on from the past, but he leans in and kisses her. A shocked Rhona pushes him away, making it clear there's no going back for them. Later in The Woolpack, Paddy apologises to Pierce for kissing Rhona. How will Pierce react?

Elsewhere, Dan is irritated by Kerry's self-centred behaviour as he prepares for his first volunteer shift in the care home. Later, Dan confides in Nicola that a woman died on him at the care home. Nicola comforts him and he kisses her, but is someone watching?
