Irene wakes up in a derelict room where a man named Mick has been holding her, convinced that he is her son.
Later, Mick confronts Olivia and gives her an ultimatum – if she wants to see Irene again, she needs to get in his car and come with him.
Meanwhile, Marilyn has arrived at the hospital straight from the airport - luggage and all - to see Alf. She takes him by the hand, talking about Europe and missing the Bay. She hopes he wakes up soon so she can show all of her photos.
When Alf grips her hand back, Marilyn is thrilled and calls Nate and the hospital staff into the room. Alf is waking up, but what condition is he in?
Tuesday
Irene fights back against Mick and manages to escape.
Later, Irene is taken to hospital and Mick is arrested, but it's not long before Irene learns a terrible truth - Mick was right and she is his mother after all.
Meanwhile, Nate commends Justin on saving Alf, as well as him and his family sticking together after their parents' deaths. Justin is a little taken aback that Tori would tell Nate about their parents. Later, Justin convinces Tori to cut Nate off before she lands the family in danger.
Elsewhere, John and Marilyn struggle to readjust to each other's company. It turns out Marilyn's trip around the world has changed her tastes - in fact, she admits it has changed her in lots of ways. John is a little unsettled at this news.
Wednesday
Having been forced to warn Nate off, Tori laments to Brody about how their situation means they can never settle down or make friends. It's clear her words have touched a nerve with Brody,
Later at Angelo's, Justin walks in on Brody making a mysterious phone call. When Tori marches in to confront Brody, Justin learns that Brody was attempting to buy the restaurant. Justin is furious and Tori sides with him, suggesting it would draw too much unwanted attention their way. Brody tells Tori it's her fault for putting the idea in his head in the first place, dropping the bombshell that if the family has to go on the run again, he's staying put.
Meanwhile, Phoebe learns that Mick was a serial rapist and was in the Bay at the time of Billie's attack. When a loved-up Billie comes home from being with VJ, Phoebe breaks the news and suggests that Billie's attacker may have been Mick.
Although Billie tries to brush this off, she later decides that she needs to know once and for all if Mick was the one who assaulted her. She goes to the hospital and sees the tattoo which confirms Mick as her rapist. When he wakes and greets her like a friend, Billie's strength evaporates and she flees in utter turmoil.
Elsewhere, Kat and Ash manage to kiss and make up.
Thursday
Billie is distraught as she tells Phoebe that Irene's son raped her. Phoebe offers to call the police, but Billie doesn't want to tell them. No amount of arguing can change Billie's mind.
Later in the day, a worried Phoebe finds Billie on the pier. She hopes Billie will have changed her mind, but again she refuses to go to the police – arguing that she's pregnant and happy for the first time in forever, so she can't risk that. Phoebe relents as Billie breaks down into tears. Soon afterwards, VJ holds Billie in his arms. With every passing moment, it gets harder for Billie to keep up the charade.
Meanwhile, Angelo's has a new boss and he has plans to make his restaurant the best eatery on the East Coast. But there's one problem – his staff. Under pressure to perform and make his restaurant a success, Brody finds fault in everything his staff do. Brody comes down particularly hard on Phoebe, who has gone AWOL during her shift to help Billie.
Elsewhere, Josh is out on bail after nearly a week in remand, but he has trouble readjusting to his old life, Meeting up later with Mason and Matt, Evelyn suggests that they all hang out. But Josh snaps, making it clear that everything has changed and things can't go back to the way they were.
Also today, it's Hunter's sentencing hearing for the charges he pleaded guilty to - stabbing Andy and burning down Leah's house. VJ is pleased and shocked to see Hunter return and learns he got a suspended sentence and community service.
Finally, Roo struggles to deal with an angry Alf.
Friday
Josh arrives to see Andy, begging him to back him up if he confesses to Charlotte's murder. Andy refuses - there's no way he's letting his little brother go to jail, even though he's guilty.
Shortly afterwards, Josh marches up to Sergeant McCarthy, producing his phone. Josh says he's just recorded a conversation with Andy that proves Josh is Charlotte's killer!
Meanwhile, the gulf between Marilyn and John widens when Marilyn announces that she has put them back on the foster parent waiting list.
Elsewhere, on his first day of community service, Hunter gets off on the wrong foot with Danika, his hard-line supervisor.
