Jacob and Connie resolve to tell Grace the truth about their relationship, but it's too late as Grace comes home early and finds them together.
Jacob and Connie plead with her, and Grace gives Jacob the chance to prove that he's good enough for her mother. But will she give them her blessing? And as Connie deals with a case too close to home, will she and Grace find a way through?

Meanwhile, Alicia comes back to the Emergency Department as a locum doctor. She awkwardly avoids Lily as she tells Ethan and Louise that her parents have got divorced and she's moved back down south. She's then forced to work with Lily on a case and realises she isn't as scary as she thought, and perhaps she'll stick around.
