Neighbours youngster Jimmy Williams is involved in a horrifying hit and run accident later this month.
The schoolboy is knocked off his bike when a car strikes him out in the road, leaving him injured and writhing in pain.
As the driver in question keeps on going rather than checking Jimmy (Darcy Tadich) is okay, it's left to his friend Charlie Hoyland to rush off and get the help that he desperately needs.

Jimmy's mum Amy (Zoe Cramond) is horrified when she hears about the accident, but it's Jack Callahan who takes charge after they both rush to the scene.
When Jimmy is admitted to hospital, his injuries initially seem minor but everyone gets a nasty surprise when his condition suddenly starts deteriorating rapidly.

Doctors soon discover that Jimmy's spleen has ruptured and he'll need surgery, so a panic-stricken Amy asks Jack to pray with her while she anxiously waits for news.
Although the accident itself remains a mystery, it doesn't take long before Mark Brennan has a prime suspect in mind - Steph Scully's old flame Belinda Bell.
With Belinda back in the area, Mark realises that Charlie's description of the driver's car matches the one that Belinda has been driving around.
Steph is quick to defend Belinda and accuses Mark of letting his jealousy cloud his judgement, but is he right or wrong on this one?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, July 12 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours teen Piper Willis is furious next week as she discovers that Terese Willis is embarking on a surprising new romance of her own.
Piper (Mavournee Hazel) angrily accuses Terese of hypocrisy after spotting her getting cosy with newcomer Ryan Prescott.
Seeing there's an obvious age gap here, Piper can't believe that Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) would be so brazen after repeatedly opposing her own hopes of dating older guy Tyler Brennan.
Piper is so infuriated by the apparent double standard that she publicly humiliates Terese, but her immature outburst looks set to do more harm than good when Tyler witnesses the whole thing.

Mortified by Piper's behaviour, Tyler privately apologises to Terese for his role in causing so much family tension recently.
Surprisingly, Tyler's attitude impresses Terese so much that she decides to throw caution to the wind and gives him permission to take Piper to the upcoming school formal as a friend.
However, with Tyler still disapproving of Piper's behaviour towards her mum, the big question is whether he'll still want to go with her...
Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, July 14 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Monday
Piper realises that she has to tell Tyler the truth about what her parents really said regarding their relationship. When she does, Tyler is hurt and disappointed. Deciding the best course of action is to be honest, Tyler approaches Brad and admits that Piper lied to him. He admits that he never wanted to be in this position as he respects Brad and Terese too much.
When Brad calls his feelings inappropriate and wrong, Tyler surprises him by calmly stating his mature view on Piper and their relationship. Still unsure how to proceed with Piper, Tyler seeks out Mark's advice and eventually realises the obstacles between them being together are too messy at this point. He breaks up with Piper, leaving her devastated.
Meanwhile, Mark is unnerved when he notices Belinda staring at him, Steph and Charlie at The Waterhole. Mark confronts her and isn't reassured by her excuses. When Mark expresses his concerns, Steph talks to Belinda and believes she was simply confronted by the sight of the family she always believed she'd be part of, but will never be.
Mark's concerns remain and in a moment of vulnerability he admits to Steph that he's not only jealous, but he feels he can't compete with Belinda because she's a woman. Steph tries her best to alleviate his fears, but they remain. When Mark crosses with Belinda again, he makes it clear that she's not welcome anywhere near Steph.
Elsewhere, when Gary discovers that Xanthe is devastated because Piper is no longer going to the formal, he innocently promises to buy Xanthe a dress to cheer her up, unaware she assumes it's the expensive dress she has her heart set on. Sheila discovers Gary's promise and berates him for setting Xanthe up for heartbreak and warns him that in doing so, Xanthe won't believe any future promises he makes. Gary is mortified at his parenting blunder.
Tuesday
Jimmy is left on the side of the road writhing in pain after being hit by a car, but the vehicle in question has already driven away. Charlie has to run to get help and Amy is horrified when she learns that Jimmy has been in an accident. Jack takes charge as they hurry to Jimmy's assistance.
Jimmy is taken to hospital and Karl assures Amy there is every reason to be positive, as there doesn't appear to be any sign of head injuries. Amy is horrified, however, as Jimmy's condition deteriorates. He's in extreme pain, and Amy is left without answers as the doctors fly in to help him.
It's soon discovered that Jimmy's spleen has ruptured and he'll need surgery. Whilst it's not a life or death procedure, Amy is frantically worried for her son and asks Jack if he'll pray with her.
Meanwhile, Mark realises that Charlie's scant description of the driver's car matches the vehicle that Belinda was driving. Steph can't believe Mark would even think Belinda could be responsible and accuses him of letting jealousy cloud his judgement. She tells him she's never been into possessive boyfriends - and she's not about to start now.
Elsewhere, Paige meets Dustin, who knows Jack through his past work as a youth worker. Paige can't help but question him about Jack's previous girlfriend. Dustin, assuming Paige is interested, tells her there's no hope. Paige laughs it off and covers her feelings, but inwardly she's crushed. Later, Jack discovers Paige kissing Dustin. Jack reacts angrily and Paige can't help but wonder whether he is jealous.
Wednesday
Xanthe's excitement is at fever-pitch ahead of the upcoming school formal. However, Gary is increasingly concerned by the mounting costs, especially when he learns that Xanthe has her heart set on a $600 dress. Desperate to avoid disappointing his princess, Gary promises Xanthe it's not a problem. Feeling the pressure, he decides to head off fishing, hoping the time alone will help him think of a way through his problems.
As Gary avoids a call from a mysterious number, Toadie tags along on the fishing trip and learns of Gary's money woes. He advises Gary to tell Xanthe the truth, as a perfect formal is not worth bankrupting yourself for. Gary returns home, preparing to break the bad news to Xanthe, but he is hit with another curve-ball: Susan reveals Xanthe is struggling at school and needs a professional tutor, which won't come cheap.
Weighed down by the costs of being a good dad, Gary gets in touch with the mystery caller from earlier, who turns out to be his old prison buddy Dave. Learning Gary is desperate for some extra work, Dave reveals he has a job to offer, but it's strictly off-books and no-questions-asked. Will Gary accept the illegal work, to provide for his daughter?
Meanwhile, Jack opens up to Karl about his dilemma, admitting that Paige's impatience is making it even harder for him to choose between the priesthood and the woman he loves. Jack and Paige eventually come together with cooler heads and both apologise for their conflict. But despite both making an effort to see each other's perspective, Jack is no closer to a decision.
Elsewhere, riled up by Jimmy's accident, Karl rants about bike safety until Susan encourages him to put his money where his mouth is and take action. Karl approaches Sonya with the idea of installing bike-lanes on all of Erinsborough's roads. Sonya likes the idea, but discovers it's unpopular with voters and the other councillors. She apologetically tells Karl it'll have to stay on the backburner for now, but this only makes Karl even more determined and he takes his bike-lane crusade to the streets.
Thursday
Gary is concerned that Xanthe is struggling at school and can't help blaming himself for being an absent father. He's determined to make sure she gets back on track, but his wage as a cleaner won't cover the cost of a private tutor. Amy sympathises with his parenting guilt and comes up with a creative solution. She was always good at schoolwork and offers to tutor Xanthe. Amy puts in a brave effort, but Xanthe is easily distracted and can't think of anything but the upcoming formal.
Gary suspects a professional tutor might have more success and is faced with a difficult decision. Does he slip back into old ways so he can provide for his daughter financially, or stay honest and let her down? The offer of fast money from Dave is tempting, but in the end he makes a risky decision of a different kind - accepting a loan from Paul.
Meanwhile, Xanthe encourages Piper to convince Terese that Tyler is the best alternative to any other boyfriend option out there. Inspired, Piper arranges a blind date with a middle-aged man. There's no mistaking the message - the stricter Terese gets, the more Piper will rebel. As planned, Terese is horrified. Piper quickly dumps the guy and begins scanning Ziva for her next inappropriate date. But Madison guilts her into realising how awful she's being to Terese.
At Madison's suggestion, Piper goes to apologise to Terese but finds her mum flirting with Ryan, despite their obvious age gap. Infuriated by the double-standard, Piper publicly humiliates Terese. She in turn is mortified because Tyler witnesses her emotional outburst. He privately apologises to Terese for causing so much turmoil. Ironically, it's Tyler who unwittingly changes Terese's mind. She decides to let Piper take him to the formal, as a friend. But will Tyler still want to go?
Elsewhere, Karl and Toadie have their first ride in the bike-path campaign, but it's woefully under-advertised and fails to get much traction. Aaron creates an online presence for the campaign so their next ride will be more successful. His initiative impresses Toadie and earns him a job offer. Tom helps negotiate a deal that will also benefit Aaron's social-media business.
Also today, Madison begins work as Terese's assistant. They work well together but Madison is concerned by Terese's involvement with Ryan. She decides not to divulge his questionable character for Amy's sake, but is horrified to discover Terese not only works with Ryan, she's dating him.
Friday
Paul is immediately jealous when he sees Terese doing the 'walk of shame' following a romantic date with Ryan. Amy fears that Paul will start digging into Ryan's background, which will mean he finds out about Amy's past as a lingerie cleaner. Taking action, she goes to Ryan and begs him to stop seeing Terese, warning him that that Paul has already got a vendetta against him and he's not the type of enemy you want to have.
When Ryan hints that Terese's new assistant has been interfering too, Amy suddenly realises that Madison might know about her secret too. Confronted, Madison admits that she saw photos of Amy and knows about her past as a lingerie cleaner. Amy is mortified to realise someone else knows about her past.
Later, Paul tries to warn Terese about how dodgy Ryan is. Terese calls him on being jealous but a frustrated Paul retaliates, telling her that she'll find out the hard way about what a scumbag her new prince charming really is. His words have an effect on Terese, who gets onto an investigator. She wants to know everything there is to know about Ryan Prescott…
Meanwhile, Piper is anxious to hear from Tyler, given that Terese has now given permission for them to attend the formal together. Tyler tells Piper that he'll go to the formal, but only if they get Terese's blessing for real. Piper and Tyler front up to Terese, who lays down strict conditions - all of which Tyler happily accepts. Later, Terese discovers the private vlog link that Piper sent to Tyler and she can't help clicking on it. She's shocked to realise the depth of Piper's feelings for Tyler…
Elsewhere, Xanthe arrives home with a huge dress and lies that it's a cheap knock-off version of the dress she really wanted. However, she later confides in Piper that her dress isn't a knock-off after all - it's the real thing! Xanthe is planning on wearing the dress with the labels attached and then returning it the next day for a refund. What could possibly go wrong with her cunning plan?
Also today, Ben tells Gary that even though he's being paid to take Xanthe to the formal, he wanted to take her anyway. Consequently, as soon as Ben can save the money, he'll be paying Gary back every cent.

Piper is as bad as Paige at the moment .... coming over so desperate .... awful to watch. And with man mad Xantheeeeeee, not giving a very good image of young women in the programme at the moment.
I really don't like the fact that Piper did a video for Tyler, especially after the Ben story with his girlfriend. I don't think Tyler is the sort to use it to Pipers disadvantage .... but once its out there .... its so easy to loose control of it.

I agree about Paige. Her attitude to John is incredibly selfish. She said she'd wait for him, but started pressuring him again the very next episode! :wall:
Xanthe I find very endearing and I think the man chasing is more about her lack of self-esteem than anything else (though she genuinely likes Ben of course).
As for Piper, Tyler is the one who's coming off badly in my opinion. OK, he's trying to slow things down and get her parents' permission, but what he should be doing is not even contemplating having a sexual relationship with a schoolgirl.
As I've said previously, I don't like the way the story is being written with Piper on the surface being the aggressor and Tyler the one who's doing the right thing. If you examine the storyline more closely, it's him to blame for allowing things to progress so far. He's older and knows full well why the relationship would be frowned upon, while she's immature and totally inexperienced in adult relationships.
I really don't like the fact that Piper did a video for Tyler, especially after the Ben story with his girlfriend. I don't think Tyler is the sort to use it to Pipers disadvantage .... but once its out there .... its so easy to loose control of it.
I so agree with you about the video and was very surprised she did it after what she said to Xanthe. It's very inconsistent writing.

I agree though, I dislike the story line and wish they would bring in someone more age appropriate for both Tyler and Piper. it feels like they are just trying to get characters together for the sake of it as there isn't really many couples together right now so they're probably thinking.
Plus, there isn't really anyone around Tyler's age on the show apart from Paige now that Nate and Ned has left... Seems like he's got no friends so they're putting him with Piper and Ben (I like his friendship with Ben though, very sibling like).

Travis Burns confirmed in a Q&A with Neighbours Official Facebook page that him & his character Tyler are the same age. Both Travis & Tyler were born in 1991, making them 24. Scroll down on the link below to find his answer. Travis & Tyler turned 25 in 2016.
I've looked at the Q&A and Travis did indeed confirm he and Tyler are the same age. Also, he has a tattoo that refers to his birth year (1991) that was clearly shown a few episodes ago. It would be covered up if Tyler was born later.

I don't have a problem with the age gap. In fact, when I was nineteen I had a relationship with a man eight years older than myself. My daughter has been seeing a man with an even bigger age gap between them for some years. I've never been bothered by it, but the difference is we were both adults when the relationships started.
I like Tyler (well I used to anyway) but I think he has very little in common with Piper and his judgment has proved to be questionable at best. I doubt their relationship would last - at least not in the real world.
Saying all that, Therese and Brad are in a very tricky position because banning them from seeing each other is likely to exacerbate the problem. I think I'd just ban them from sleeping together until she's seventeen if I was them. Of course it's easy to be objective when you're not emotionally involved!

I think regarding Piper/Tyler it's an interesting story to tell & am interested in how Neighbours handle this, I can see it from both sides. I can see why the parent's would have a problem with it on paper a 16-17 year old with a 24/5 year old doesn't sound or really look right, but we have had the time to get to know Tyler and can see he is genuine and is trying to go about things respectfully.
Tyler does often act young for his age playing with his toy cars etc & is very impulsive I first wondered if his development might be stunted due to his abuse in his teens but they don't seem to of acknowledged much about that time. Piper can act maturely at times but not so much in others particularly when emotional. I'm going to keep an open mind and see how it it pans out.

Like Piper, they are certainly thinking about what they want all the time and not the consequences or the other persons feeling - like respecting the fact Jack and Tyler both asked the girls to slow down a bit. Certainly got Brads genes !

No, that's definitely wrong. Aaron is the middle brother which puts his age somewhere between about 34 (1982) and 25 (1991). Perhaps it's a typo and they meant 1985?

Paige is so selfish and unlikeable at the moment. I don't think I can watch much more of her piling the pressure on nice guy Jack. What with her and Tyler/Piper I'm not enjoying much of Neighbours at the moment. :(
