In Daily Star Sunday on May 15th:
Paul Robinson agrees to plead guilty to causing the blast that claimed the lives of Josh Willis and his granddad Doug.
In a dramatic twist, Toadie Rebecchi persuades him to admit to the crime after taking on his case.
When they get to court everyone gets a shock - especially Toadie - when Paul goes back on his word and denies all the charges.
A source said: 'When Paul sees Terese Willis looking at him, he simply cant say he killed her son, so he pleads not guilty. It throws the court into disarray'.

No one could admit it when you're innocent :)
I couldn't admit to a crime I didn't commit, especially one such as that!
Even if it meant risking going to jail for a lot more years, I'd go to my grave professing my innocent

Exactly :)
No one could admit it when you're innocent :)
It's not as simple as that. There are many terrifying reasons why innocent people choose to plead guilty for a lesser sentence. For instance to avoid losing their home, their source of income and future prospects - plus causing any dependents poverty and homelessness. Also, prison itself is a terrifying prospect for anyone in the least bit vulnerable who's not at home with hardened criminals.
I think it's one of those decisions it's impossible to know which way you'd choose unless you were unfortunate enough to find yourself in that situation.
Here's a first look at the scandalous moment that Neighbours newcomer Ned Willis makes a move on Lauren Turner later this month.
Ned (Ben Hall) has been harbouring secret feelings for his dad's girlfriend for a while now, but he finally reveals his intentions as Lauren starts to fear that Brad is cheating on her.
Brad and his estranged wife Terese are currently united by a secret after Terese recently told Brad that she paid Cecilia Saint in a desperate bid to incriminate Paul Robinson for the Lassiters explosion.
Terese's decision to confide in Brad leads to the pair spending a lot of time together again, but Ned and Lauren (Kate Kendall) both smell a rat as they wonder why the ex-couple are suddenly so close again.

Ned Willis kisses Lauren Turner in Neighbours

When Lauren catches Brad and Terese looking intimate next week, it's the final straw for her and she confronts Brad about what he's up to.
Although Brad is adamant that he's not having an affair, he is vague about what he and Terese are really hiding - which only makes the situation worse.
Later, a worried Lauren finds herself alone with Ned and when she innocently mentions that she cares about him, he misreads the signals and goes in for a kiss.
Lauren immediately rejects Ned and he's mortified to realise that she doesn't feel the same way, but will Lauren cause more fireworks for the Willis family by telling Brad what just happened?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, May 30 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Monday
Steph tries to remain positive about Paul's disappearance, but when she discovers that Paul has cleaned out the motel's cash box, she realises he is not coming back. Steph tells Mark that Paul is missing and begs for unofficial help, explaining that she'll lose the motel - which she put up as collateral for Paul's bail - and all hopes of having a future with Charlie if she can't find him. Mark agrees, but when they come up empty, he is forced to call it in.
Later, Brad and Terese go to the motel to confront Steph. Steph reveals that she suspects someone forced Cecilia to make a false confession, leaving Brad and Terese afraid that she'll uncover the truth. Terese lashes out, threatening to ruin Steph if Paul doesn't come back and face what he's done.
Meanwhile, Piper and Ben are forced to make a difficult decision - they betray their friend and tell Sheila about what Xanthe is up to. Xanthe realises she has made a mistake and calls off the surgery, but what will happen when Sheila sweeps in and gives the doctor a piece of her mind?
Elsewhere, Lauren catches Brad and Terese looking intimate. Although Brad is adamant he's not having an affair, he is vague about what he and Terese are hiding. Later, Lauren and Ned find themselves together alone. When Lauren innocently tells Ned that she cares about him, Ned misreads her intentions and goes in for a kiss.
Tuesday
Xanthe is distraught that Piper and Ben revealed her plan for breast enhancement surgery to Sheila. Sheila is quick to blame Angus, but when Susan stands up for him, Sheila starts to wonder if she has been a bad role model for Xanthe. Susan assures her that she isn't and Sheila realises Xanthe's issues probably began with her vain mother.
Encouraged by Susan, who thinks she is a strong and proud female role model, Sheila encourages Xanthe and Piper to celebrate everything that is wonderful about the female body, regardless of age or shape.
Meanwhile, Paul needs a false passport, but it will cost more than the cash he took from the motel safe. He implores Steph to meet him and loan him the money, in exchange for his share of the motel. Steph is furious that his actions have made him look even guiltier, but Paul wonders if she is prepared to see an innocent man go to jail if she doesn't help him. What will Steph decide to do?
Elsewhere, Ned is genuinely shocked to realise that he misread the signals from Lauren and that she doesn't feel the same way about him. Catching Brad and Terese in an intimate moment causes Ned to lash out and accuse them of having an affair. Ned refuses to believe Brad's denials, forcing Brad to reveal the secret he shares with Terese about Cecilia's false testimony.
Wednesday
Steph tells Amy that even though she believes that Paul is innocent, she has to do the right thing and tell the police where he's hiding. Neither woman knows that Jimmy has overheard their exchange.
Tracking Paul down, Jimmy warns him that the police are coming. Paul panics on hearing a police siren and takes off into dense bushland. Jimmy follows and Paul is unable to shake him off. Paul plans to send Jimmy home, but when Jimmy is stung by a bee and suffers an allergic reaction, Paul must decide between saving himself and protecting his grandson.
Meanwhile, Mark gives Sonya a copy of the police accident report. Sonya is stunned to learn that not only was Walter in the car with her parents, he was arguing with her father at the time of the crash. Sonya gives Walter the chance to come clean. When he fails to speak up, she loses patience and tells him that she doesn't want to see him again. Under pressure, Walter admits there's a reason why he's kept silent - he's not Sonya's uncle, he's her father.
Elsewhere, Lauren asks Ned about the sudden turnaround in his attitude towards Brad and why he is suddenly so supportive. Ned can't admit that Brad told him about Terese's actions to frame Paul. Instead, he uses the kiss to explain his shift in attitude, begging Lauren to keep it as their secret. Feeling compromised, Lauren delivers a strong warning - if Ned steps over the line again, she will tell Brad everything.
Thursday
Nate receives a mystery phone call and reveals to Susan that it was confirmation that his application to re-enlist in the army was accepted. He also confesses that he hasn't told Aaron yet. Nate ultimately asks Aaron to go with him, but Aaron is not as receptive to the idea as Nate had hoped.
Aaron does take time to weigh it up, explaining to Mark and Tyler that he doesn't want to lose Nate but he also doesn't want to abandon his own dreams. Nate's recent abandonment of Aaron has also left its mark and it's ultimately why Aaron decides not to accompany Nate on his next adventure. After breaking up with Aaron, Nate says farewell to Ramsay Street for good.
Meanwhile, John continues to push Paige away - even when she moves in for a kiss with him. John explains that despite his attraction, a gut feeling is telling him not to go there. Fed up with the push and pull, Paige tells him to leave - she's only interested in guys who are 100% interested in her.
Elsewhere, having dropped the bombshell that he is Sonya's father, Walter explains there was a short-lived fling with Sonya's mother, after which they agreed that John and Fiona would raise Sonya as their own. On the night of the accident, they were fighting about this very issue - Walter was pushing to reveal the truth to the then 10-year-old Sonya. Sonya asks for time to decide whether or not to have a relationship with Walter. Overwrought, he goes straight out and gets drunk.
Friday
Aaron meets with Tom, who explains why he is convinced that Xanthe took his lost cash. Aaron agrees to look into it and questions Xanthe. She trots out a pre-planned cover story for her whereabouts on the day of the Lassiters explosion, but Aaron quickly spots the holes in her tale. Protective, he warns that he can only help her if she comes clean.
Panicking, Xanthe goes to Ben and they realise that even with Angus agreeing to return what is left of the money, only a fraction of what they took remains. Tom won't be happy. Their only choice is to confess all to Aaron and hope he can save their skins. Aaron is frustrated to discover what a mess the kids have made, but he agrees to help - he can't let them deal with Tom on their own.
Meanwhile, realising Paul's lawyer isn't up to the task, Steph decides that she needs to enlist Toadie as Paul's new defence. Toadie baulks at the idea, but Steph and Paul gradually manage to wear him down. Terese is livid when she learns Toadie is agreeing to think about it. Toadie eventually agrees to step in and represent Paul on one condition - Paul must plead guilty.
Elsewhere, rushed off her feet, Sonya tentatively agrees to let Walter help her look after Nell. She's ready to start letting him into her life.
Also today, Lauren's frustration grows as Brad keeps sneaking off for secret meetings with Terese. Sensing Ned knows something, she presses him and he reveals the truth - Brad and Terese are conspiring to pay for false testimony that will convict Paul. Lauren is shocked that Brad could be so dishonest, but will she keep what she knows to herself?

Paul would never have been able to remove his ankle tag that easily - if at all. They're designed to be almost impossible to cut through and, anyway, if they're tampered with they send out an immediate alert to the police. If they were possible to remove undetected they wouldn't be worth using at all. Either the writers didn't research how they work or they took great liberties with the truth.
I'm finding Ned really creepy with the way he's behaving around Lauren. Deliberately giving her an eye full when his towel fell off and all the flirting and other inappropriate behaviour isn't on at all. I'm feeling sorry for Lauren and she isn't a character I often sympathise with.
And what's this I read above about Paige pressurising John for a romantic commitment? She's got no respect for his predicament! A real girlfriend or wife could turn up at any time for all they know. I'm not enjoying this John Doe story very much I'm afraid. Paige is annoying and I've never had a high opinion of Andrew Morley's acting.

Agree about Paul. That was a very unrealistic plot device that would allow Paul to get out of town.
Ned's behaviour has crossed the line and i think it's time for Lauren to tell Brad everything even if she doesn't want to pile more troubles on him. It's not her job to be trying to manage Ned anyway it's Brad's.
Paige hasn't known this John Doe for more than five minutes, she knows next to nothing about him and she's ready for a romantic committment? Run JD run!
