Carla's exit really don't sound very exciting

I am guessing she don't marry Nick and leaves disgraced as her one night stand with Robert and helping him buy Nick's business comes out

Coronation Street is shifting its schedule to 9pm for the week beginning Sunday, May 22 as part of Carla's exit and the discovery of Callum's body.

An episode of Corrie will air each night between May 22 and Thursday, May 26. There will be no episode on Friday, May 27 due to football.

The 'event week' episodes will air between the Britain's Got Talent semi-final performance and results shows, as it has done in previous years.

The change is a scheduling move, as opposed to it being unsuitable for the pre-watershed.

During the dramatic week, Carla Connor is preparing to marry Nick Tilsey, though she is apprehensive ahead of the nuptials, especially with the prospect of Tracey Barlow revealing her fling with Robert Preston.

The discovery of Callum's body at number 8 will also have repercussions for many characters.

I though Robert said he would finish with Tracy if she spilled the beans. Has something changed? There is no way Nick could get the Bistro now.

For some reason, Robert is so in love with Tracy, he forgives her for everything, regardless of how horrible and destructive she can be

We aren't sure if it's Tracy that tells Carla or if Carla admits it. Seems so strange to me that Carla having done everything she has done to make the wedding go ahead would just decide to admit it on the wedding day. Especially as she knows that Nick has to avoid stress.

As for Robert, if he finds out again that Tracy was blackmailing Carla since the last time then he should finish with her. But he wont. Tracy is all he has. I can see the Bistro suffering from Tracy's actions. When everyone knows what has happened and how Robert got the Bistro through blackmailing then are they really going to want to eat there. And will the staff be pleased to hear what they have done to Nick? Robert got handed the Bistro that was very successful but I can see that sliding very fast

The Bistro won´t suffer .. people in soapland have a short memory anyway and nobody on Coronation Street will boycott the Bistro because of Tracy .. might not buy their respective spouses/partners any flowers from Preston Petals but even that won´t last long ..:wall:

maybe but then they did mention a while back about how many restaurants fail in the first year, also why are they not changing the name?

Wouldn't rule Nick out getting it back just yet

Nick sold the Bistro legally to Robert, unless Robert decides to leave Weatherfield and Tracy, which I doubt will happen soon, I can see Nick being offered a partnership with Robert as Robert might feel guilty about the way he managed to buy the Bistro because of Tracy´s scheming but not sure about him becoming the outright owner again...

I think it could happen but Nick will certainly need time to come to terms with the betrayal. It'll probably help that Robert wasn't party to the manipulation of Nick to get him to sell the bistro to Robert.

Over on Coronation Street, the anticipation is building for Carla Connor and Nick Tilsley's wedding - with the release of this picture showing them all dressed up for their big day.

Carla (Alison King) is hoping for her happy ending as she prepares to tie the knot with Nick, but her biggest secret is still casting a shadow over the proceedings.

Carla Connor and Nick Tilsley's wedding in Coronation Street© ITV

The build-up to the ceremony will see Carla's enemy Tracy Barlow renew her vicious blackmail, threatening to ruin the big day by exposing Carla's one-night stand with Robert Preston.

When Carla's father Johnny gets wind of Tracy's behaviour and later realises that her sabotage has already started, he takes matters into his own hands to keep her away from the ceremony.

As he argues with Tracy in the factory, Johnny seizes the opportunity to do something drastic and locks her in the store cupboard.

Has Johnny done enough to stop Tracy revealing all about Carla and Robert? Could she make her escape to ruin things? Could Nick's brain injury halt the proceedings? Or could Carla defy the odds and actually become Mrs Tilsley?

Whatever happens, we know that Carla will be leaving the cobbles as the story reaches its conclusion - so keep watching to find out exactly how she goes. And with Callum Logan's body soon to be discovered too, will Nick end up with even more on his plate?

Coronation Street airs the wedding week from Sunday, May 22 at 9pm on ITV.

I think people have a memorial service when
someone is missing and there is good reason
to believe they are dead but no body is found.
To.have someone officially declared dead without
a body - you have to.wait 7 yrs?

All the actors and spoiler publicity are sticking
to the story that it is Calluns body thats found
Im probably the only poster on the board that
thinks it wont be!

If Tracy comes out of this too as a winner I definitely won't be watching corrie for as long as she's in it. I'm so sick of her behaviour now! I thought they would have made her to change her ways a little bit since deirdre died, but to be honest, she's just getting worse.. She's evil. Too much for me. Even charity in Emmerdale has got some conscience, but Tracy.. Never. Really bad choice to make her this bad.

Sunday, 9:00pm

Determined to ruin Carla's big day even after being warned not to by Robert, Tracy phones Michelle's florist and has Carla's flowers sent to the wrong venue.

Johnny is furious to realise that Tracy is behind the mix-up and confronts her, but she gleefully points out that the only way they'll have replacement flowers in time is if they buy them from her. With little option, Johnny is forced to agree.

Later, Tracy meets up with Johnny in the factory, demanding the money she is owed for the flowers. In a bid to stop her from ruining Carla's wedding, Johnny is forced to resort to desperate measures and locks her in the store room.

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd says David Platt would let anyone go down for Callum’s murder - even sister Sarah - as it is revealed he will try to frame Jason for the killing.

Having kept their grisly secret buried for months, the truth comes back to haunt Sarah, David and Kylie when Callum’s body is finally unearthed from beneath Gail’s granny flat in a dramatic chain of events on Nick and Carla’s wedding day.

Evil drug dealer Callum was killed by Kylie, his ex, when she found him attacking his new girlfriend Sarah, and in a panic the pair then hid his body with the help of David.

Speaking at a preview screening, Jack said: “It’d be painful if Sarah went down for it but he wouldn’t be bothered as long as Kylie and the kids were alright I think.

“I think Kylie’s a lot more compassionate towards Sarah than David is. Kylie’s more of the moral one, saying no we all have to get away with it or none of us gets away with it.”

Secrets don't stay buried in an unmissable week on Coronation Street
He also revealed David would take the rap for Kylie if it came to it, adding: “I think if he’s put in that position where Kylie says she’s going to confess then he’ll say ‘no, I did it’.”

Whether it will come to that remains to be seen, with David first trying to pin the blame on Callum’s enemy Jason as he is questioned by police over the grim discovery.

“It’s his only chance, he needs to point the finger elsewhere,” he said.

“I don’t think he’s got much of a conscience.”

Kylie’s past with Callum means she’s feeling much more conflicted about the whole thing, according to actress Paula Lane.

“There’s been quite a lot of emotional trauma for Kylie,” she said.

“Callum was the father of her first child whereas all David saw was this figure that came into their lives at the last minute and tried to ruin it.”

The dramatic saga plays out on the ITV soap next week

Later, when Carla arrives for her wedding at the Bistro, she shocks her partner Nick Tilsley by admitting that she needs to talk to him. As she pulls him to one side, will she confess to her affair with Robert Preston before Tracy can spill the beans? Or will she miss her chance to come clean?

I don't think we'll be so lucky as to have Tracy killed off. :wall:

Even if Kate Ford wanted to leave (which is unlikely given she had little success last time), Corrie bosses would want to leave their options open to entice her back or recast in the future. As Ken and Deirdre's daughter, Tracy's an important character in Corrie's history - even though she doesn't appear to be popular with many viewers.

Coronation Street's Carla Connor says an emotional farewell to the cobbles in these first look pictures from Thursday's episode.

A distraught Carla (Alison King) decides that there's nothing left to keep her in Weatherfield following the dramatic events of her disastrous wedding day.

Big episodes airing all this week have seen Carla's past mistakes finally catch up with her, as Nick dumped her after learning that she'd cheated on him with Robert Preston.

Carla also made life even worse for herself by accidentally knocking down Cathy Matthews in the road, potentially ruining her friendship with Roy Cropper for good.

These brand new pictures show Carla say goodbye to her father Johnny, but will Roy forgive her before she leaves the cobbles for good?

Elsewhere on the Street, Thursday's episode also sees David (Jack P Shepherd) face the grim task of checking out the extent of the damage at the Platt house following the shock crash.

David's worst fears are realised when he comes across the exposed manhole and the stench of Callum's rotting corpse hits him.

Sure enough, it's not long before the police come calling and the Platts realise they have nowhere left to hide this time...

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Thursday (May 26) at 9pm on ITV.
