As Tracy moves in with Carly and Vanessa, Walsh hopes that this new chapter will also open up opportunities to explore her alter ego's background.

"It will be a massive turning point for her when she's living with Carly and Vanessa - she has not had chums she can confide in before", Walsh told Inside Soap.

"I hope we can learn more about her. Her ex-boyfriend beat her up and her dad's been in prison, so she's a bit of a tough cookie.

"It will be nice to see a more vulnerable side of her."

Coming up on Emmerdale, it's the moment we've all been expecting as Rhona Goskirk draws ever closer to Pierce Harris.

When Pierce shows Rhona (Zoe Henry) a new flat that he's found to live in, she can't resist picking fault with the property - prompting him to joke that she clearly doesn't want him to leave.

It seems that Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) could be right as things become charged between the pair and they almost share a kiss, but stop themselves at the last moment.

While Rhona is clearly struggling to ignore her chemistry with Pierce, her friend Vanessa Woodfield is far less enthused by him and starts to become suspicious over his continued presence.

Vanessa is furious when she discovers that Pierce has sneakily snatched her phone as part of his ongoing mission to track down Kirin Kotecha.

When Vanessa warns Rhona that Pierce could be hiding a vicious vendetta, he denies being up to no good. Can he win Rhona and Vanessa back round again?

Jacob has got the day off school to go with David for his chemo, determined to help David through it. In the hospital David and Jacob see Dylan, who comforts David by reminding him there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Arthur's excited when the pirate ship is delivered and returns home early from school to build it. But when things don't go to plan, Arthur offers to help his dad by using the saw. Ashley supervises him, but is momentarily distracted and Arthur cuts his hand. At the hospital, Ashley struggles to cope with the stress and heads off to find someone, leaving Arthur alone. Ashley soon becomes confused in the hospital corridor. Will he remember why he is there?

Aaron is distressed, admitting to Chas that he thinks he was a coward for not telling Gordon what he thought of him.

Meanwhile, Jacob is disappointed when David won't let him attend the chemotherapy session with him. Tracy decides to take matters into her own hands.

Elsewhere, Pierce is intrigued by Vanessa's reaction to a photo of Kirin on her phone. He decides to sneakily snatch Vanessa's phone as part of his mission to find Kirin.

Also today, Cain gives Moira a mini break for their anniversary, Rakesh is feeling down as the firm want him gone, while Ashley makes some big plans - he wants to be Harriet's curate at the church and also wants to name the village hall after Edna.


Tuesday

Rhona picks fault with the flat Pierce has found and he jokes that it's because she doesn't want him to leave. In a charged moment, they almost kiss.

Later, Vanessa tells Rhona what Pierce has done, suspecting it's a vendetta. When Rhona confronts Pierce, he denies being out for revenge - but will she be convinced?

Meanwhile, Jacob takes the day off school to accompany David to his chemotherapy session. David is also supported at the hospital by Dylan, who reminds him there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Elsewhere, Ashley ploughs ahead with his plans to rename the village hall, Sandy struggles with his loneliness and sadness over Edna, while Priya suggests setting up a bank account for Johnny in order to send money to Kirin without suspicion.


Wednesday

​Pierce has spent the night in his car, but Rhona is clearly missing him. Carly lets Pierce inside when he says that he wants to return Vanessa's phone.

Vanessa is panicked to see Pierce in the house and tells him to get out, but he gets angry and demands to know about Kirin - warning that he won't leave until she tells him everything. How will Rhona react when she sees this side of Pierce?

Meanwhile, Jacob tries to help by giving Pollard tips for accompanying David to his chemo session. Later, Pollard and David return from hospital looking sombre and Jacob is shocked to hear some news.

Elsewhere, Rishi goes on a mission to find Jai a wife, while Ashley realises he needs to spend some quality time with lonely Sandy.

Thursday

Ashley has totally forgotten why he's at the hospital and gets involved in Laurel's baby scan instead.

When Laurel and Ashley return home, they're horrified to realise Arthur is missing when Sandy asks where he is. Soon afterwards, PC arrives saying they've found Arthur. Laurel later has to break the news to Ashley they'll be visited by a social worker to assess whether Ashley can look after Arthur.

Meanwhile, Megan arrives with baby Eliza in the middle of Jai's big date. She enjoys spilling the beans about Jai's past, but how will it go down?

Elsewhere, Chrissie suggests to Andy that he should go into business with her, but he wonders what her motives really are when she mentions Robert.

Also, Rhona hides the truth about having slept with Pierce, while Jacob starts to worry about cleanliness to an obsessive degree.


Friday

Ashley and Laurel are nervous about the social care visit.

The social care worker decides to make a new proviso, but Ashley is offended and takes it very badly indeed.

Meanwhile, when Sam has to sort out the leaking washing machine at Home Farm, he calls Ronnie without realising his significance. Ronnie turns up but fears that he's been called under false pretences. Chrissie is embarrassed to see Ronnie again, admitting to Bernice that she thought he was her father.

Elsewhere, Tracy overhears Doug and Diane pointing out to Pollard how much he could profit by getting Tracy to move out of the B&B.

Also today, Megan receives flowers from Jai and is determined to ensure he gets the message she isn't interested.

And if Pierce was such a good husband to Tess, than why oh why did she have an affair with a bald, fat geek whose occupation is putting his hand up a cow backside. Not that I don't like Paddy, I miss him and Marlon's comic relief. Wait a minute I lost my train of thought, where was I. Oh Yes, Please get rid of of Rhona & Pierce and bring back Paddy. JMO.
