Monday
It's the day that Evie receives her results and it's good news when the doctor tells her that she doesn't have cancer. Evie is relieved but later breaks down crying back at home, explaining that it's reminded her of how her mum died. She fears that she'll always feel anxious about cancer being a possibility in her life.
Hannah suggests that maybe it's time that she, Oscar and Evie all consider getting tested for the BRCA gene. She makes an appointment for the hospital to go ahead with the idea. After seeing a genetic counsellor, the three head to the hospital to see Nate and have their blood tests done. They'll have to wait a few weeks for the results.
Meanwhile, Ricky and Nate are back on track and excited about their relationship. Things take a turn when Ricky springs a surprise on Nate - she made a few calls today and found a celebrant that will marry them this week! But will this be too rushed for Nate?
Elsewhere, Roo is biting her tongue when it comes to mess around the flat, trying to treat Maddy and Matt as equals - but the place is a pig sty. When Matt finally pulls his weight by helping, he washes some of Maddy's clothes without checking the labels and shrinks one of her favourite sweaters. Roo comes home thankful for a clean house only to run into Maddy and Matt in a full blown fight.
Tuesday
Nate questions whether a quick marriage is what Ricky really wants. She backtracks and agrees that it's a stupid idea, but Nate can see that she's upset when she runs off to their room.
Later, Nate has a surprising idea for Ricky - they should move in to the Palmer house together while John and Marilyn move away. Nate has already run it past John. Ricky is surprised at his turnaround, but Nate says he understood her gesture last night and wants to meet her half-way. Kyle tries to give a 'brotherly' warning about treating Ricky well, but Nate assures him that Ricky is the one and he'll always do right by her and Casey.
Meanwhile, Hannah plucks up the courage to tell Chris that she loves him and she wants to be with him, but he leaves her devastated by insisting that it's too late. Later, Chris is putting out the rubbish from the Diner stall in the bins at the uni. Hannah sees him from afar and calls out to him, determined not to let him go. He doesn't hear her, and in Hannah's haste to catch him, she trips, falls and hits her head.
Elsewhere, Josh reconnects with Evie and asks her out.
Wednesday
Hannah is still out cold lying on the ground at uni where she tripped. Thankfully Chris finds her soon after dark when taking out more rubbish. He's shocked to see Hannah in this state and it's clear that she's hit her head, so he calls an ambulance.
Nate takes the lead at the hospital by asking what happened, but Chris isn't able to offer many answers. Fortunately Hannah only has a concussion and the situation helps to bring her closer to Chris. He tells Hannah that the only reason he's been so awful to her lately is because of how much she means to him. He still loves her - and he's there for her if she wants to give him another
Meanwhile, Dylan tries to justify his past abuse of Kat by revealing how broken he was after finding his son dead in his cot. He says this made him controlling because he was petrified of losing anyone he loved. Kat does feel for him but she puts on a hard front, insisting that he'll be out of her life again as soon as the Charlotte case is over.
Soon afterwards, Kat finds something about a phone company charge on a credit card of Charlotte's - she had a second sim card. They check the record and it turns out that she called someone half an hour before she died. When Kat searches the number, she finds out it belongs to Kyle Braxton.
Elsewhere, Evelyn and Josh reunite through an awkward date.
Thursday
Kat and Dylan take Kyle down to the police station. They ask him about the phone call from Charlotte on the night of her murder but Kyle doesn't deny it, insisting that he simply didn't think it was important. Dylan smells something fishy but Kyle insists that Charlotte wanted to meet and he refused - end of story. Dylan tries to provoke Kyle by going through his past, but he stands firm by insisting that he's innocent. Kat reminds Dylan that they can't keep Kyle for much longer without charging him.
Kat and Dylan's next move sees them search Kyle's home. Afterwards, they return to the interview room and Dylan demands to know why they found Charlotte's phone hiding behind his fridge with his fingerprints on it.
Meanwhile, VJ sees Hunter at the beach and decides to have another go at him about the fire. Hunter insists that he can't keep apologising.
Later, Alf and Roo are having breakfast at the Diner when they see Hunter quietly getting a coffee. They say hello and ask how he is. Hunter is surprised that they're being nice for him, but Alf points out that what he's going through isn't easy and they believe he's learned his lesson. Hunter mentions off the cuff that VJ doesn't think so and Alf offers to talk to him. Hunter asks him not to but thanks him anyway.
Elsewhere, Olivia bitches about Skye but she overhears.
Also today, Ash and Andy decide to go into business together.
Friday
Kyle finally reveals that he did meet up with Charlotte. He says that she wanted money so she could get away from town. Kyle refused to give her any and she got angry so she threw her phone at Kyle. He kept it in case there was anything useful on it.
Outside of the interview room, Dylan reckons all they have to do is prove the Kyle actually met Charlotte at the beach where she died and they've got him. Kat again says they can't hold him without charge, so Dylan lets her cut Kyle lose.
Later, the investigation takes another turn when Alf mentions that the bait shop has surveillance cameras and they were definitely operating the night of Charlotte's murder. Kat passes this on to the forensics team, who later confirm there's coverage of the pier. Not long afterwards, Zac is next to be asked down to the station to answer questions about the murder. What was on that footage?
Meanwhile, Ash and Andy get rejected by the bank. Kat offers to invest in their business.
Elsewhere, VJ and Hunter finally come to a truce and Leah invites Hunter to move back in.
