Pure guesswork and speculation on my part. but I wouldn`t be surprised.

I hope john doe is not another love child .... this man has spread his manhood far and wide far too often (even for a soap) - what I am still wondering though is the comment that Sarah had visited Karl's kids in the UK .... that does sound a bit weird ???

I think that's a very good guess and fits in with the hints in interviews and spoilers. John Doe being Karl and Sarah's child doesn't really fit in my opinion.

She mentioned Malcolm so I wondered if they were possibly friendly when she lived in Erinsborough? If the theory that she's terminally ill is correct, she might be visiting all her friends before she dies (possibly to find a suitable guardian for her son?).

Yes, it surprised me too. Then I checked and it seems that Malcolm's wife- Catherine is Sarah's half sister. Then 'technically' Sarah visited her niece.
Most people tend to mention only Sarah's son but Sarah has got 2 children, an older daughter called Antigone and a son called Angus. :)
Monday, 18th April
Lauren works to heal the rift between Pam and Ned.
Paul insists that he is being framed and asks Steph to track Cecilia down and win a confession.
Joshua's family struggle to say goodbye at his service but when Paul enters to pay his respects Terese is furious and kicks him out and the families chance to find closure is shattered.
Tuesday, 19th April
Terese tracks down Paul and performs a scathing character assassination.
Steph, seemingly Paul's only remaining ally, appeals to Mark for help.
Ned opens up and laments the unfairness of Brad deserting him as a child to start a new family with Terese.
A stunned Karl misinterprets Sarah's intent when she asks him if he and Susan are in it for the long haul.
Wednesday, 20th April
Sarah reveals what is on her mind to Karl but she invokes doctor-patient confidentiality so he cannot tell anybody else.
Paige's mystery man finally wakes up but is suffering from amnesia and has no idea who he is or where he is from.
Amy tries to hide her heartbreak from Jimmy.
The person who planted evidence to frame Paul is unveiled.
Thursday, 21st April
Amy decides to stay in Erinsborough to make the yard her own and 'The Handywoman' is born.
Paige tries to jog John's memory but he grows frustrated and pushes her away.
In an attempt to gain Susan's trust, Sarah finds a job and makes it clear that she is here to stay.
Imogen is tempted by a job offer from Naomi in LA but cannot bear to leave Daniel, leading him to make a stunning proposal.
Friday, 22nd April
Toadie reacts strongly when he comes home to find Sonya going through ones of his archive boxes and tells her not look in his files but it only serves to rouse her curiosity.
When Piper confronts Ben about his hostility towards Xanthe, he admits the truth about the cash they stole from the hotel.
Daniel's sister Madison makes a surprise visit to determine if he is rushing into a marriage with Imogen.

Cecilia Saint was working for Paul to unhinge Steph at the end of last year
Neighbours has put the Willis family through hell this week, so we're pleased to report that at least one member of the family has some happiness on the horizon.
Imogen (Ariel Kaplan) will get a heartwarming surprise later this month as her on-off boyfriend Daniel Robinson suddenly pops the question, suggesting that it's time to make a proper commitment to each other.
Daniel's big decision comes after Imogen receives a message from her old friend Naomi Canning, who wants her to come and work for her company in Los Angeles.
It's such a big life change that Imogen doesn't know how to react at first, especially as she couldn't bear to leave Daniel (Tim Phillipps) behind.

Elsewhere on Ramsay Street, things are looking a lot bleaker for Paul Robinson as he finds himself in the frame for causing the explosion which killed Josh and Doug.
With nearly everyone in Erinsborough against him, Paul (Stefan Dennis) is shocked to find that his only real ally is his old nemesis Steph Scully.
Steph (Carla Bonner) gives Paul the benefit of the doubt by visiting him in prison to hear his side of the story - and he's quick to insist that he's been framed by someone.

Giving his version of events in full, Paul tells Steph that he hired Cecilia Saint to cause trouble and now fears that she took his instructions way too far by causing the blast.
Later, Steph feels compelled to confront Cecilia, but she claims to have an alibi and vows to deny involvement with Paul if she's asked.
Becoming more desperate by the minute, Paul begs Steph to put the motel up for his bail, giving him the chance to see Cecilia himself and clear his name. Will Steph continue to stand by Paul?

I hate the thought of Imogen and Daniel getting married. So reckless, and what's the big rush? Imogen's job offer, I know. But Marriage?! Looks like it will happen, but really wish Daniel would stay in Erinsborough.

The way I read the latest spoilers ( on here ), he proposes because she wants the job but doesn't want to leave him behind. It also says he leaves with her for a new start on 26 April I think. I think he could go without marrying her though surely?

However, Ned is later honest about the mistakes he's made - and Brad realises just how badly his eldest son has struggled without a strong male presence in his life. An embattled Pam refuses to forgive Ned, but can Lauren heal the rift?

Steph appeals to Mark on Paul's behalf to try to clear his name. However with Cecilia refusing to testify and Tom still missing, Paul's hopes of proving his innocence seem dashed.
Meanwhile, Lauren appeals to Pam to give her grandson another chance. Pam breaks down, admitting that her harsh treatment of Ned is a way of dealing with her own guilt over Doug's death. Later, Ned reveals his true feelings about Brad.
Elsewhere, Sarah tries to make peace with Susan, expressing her desire to discuss something with her and Karl as soon as possible. Susan rejects Sarah's request. Later, an emotional Sarah asks Karl directly whether he and Susan are in it for the long haul. A stunned Karl misinterprets her intent, shocked in his belief that Sarah is propositioning him.
Wednesday
Karl tells Susan that Sarah has propositioned him. Susan takes Sarah to task and won't listen when Sarah tries to explain that it's all a big misunderstanding. Sarah tries to hold Susan in the conversation, but in a bid to get away, Susan closes her car door and accidentally catches Sarah's hand.
In hospital, Karl treats Sarah's injury, but when he recommends an x-ray and painkillers, Sarah refuses them and is forced to tell Karl her shocking secret. When Karl suggests Sarah should be open about it, Sarah invokes doctor-patient confidentiality ethics - Karl cannot tell anyone.
Meanwhile, Paige continues her vigil for the unconscious John Doe and is present when he finally wakes up. The improvement in his medical condition is overshadowed when they realise he is suffering from amnesia. He has no idea who he is or where he is from. Paige's bond to this handsome stranger grows as she promises to support him until his identity is found.

Elsewhere, when Amy receives a letter from Kyle offering her a deal on buying the yard, her decision to stay or go is put into sharp relief.
Also today, Paul asks Steph to resort to underhanded methods to try and clear his name. The pair's digging suffers a fatal blow when Mark threatens Paul with further charges of interfering with a police investigation.
Thursday
Julie Quill unleashes her pain and grief at Paul, blaming him for what happened to Tom. He tries to be understanding and reaches out to put a comforting arm on her shoulder, but she recoils and reports Paul to the police for harassment.
In response, Mark restricts Paul's bail conditions further - issuing him with an anklet tracker that restricts his movement to within motel grounds. Paul wonders how is he supposed to clear his name if he can't leave the motel, but as far as Mark is concerned, the investigation is police business.
Meanwhile, following Ned's act of revenge, Brad tries to show his wayward son that he's just as important as all of his other kids. He shows him his "Ned Box" which contains every photo, letter and report card he's been sent over the years.
Elsewhere, Aaron is gutted to receive another threatening text message. He's further concerned when Julie Quill shows up to beg for any information he has about Tom's whereabouts before the explosion. Nate becomes suspicious, pointing out that this is the second time Julie has approached them with similar questions. Believing she's the sender of the text messages, Nate tests his theory.
Also today, John Doe is finally being discharged from the hospital. Mark informs John that a Lassiters staff member met him on the morning of the explosion, and Paige and John are left hopeful that she may hold a key to his identity.
Friday
Aaron's mystery enemy has demanded $10,000 to be placed in the old well that afternoon. Aaron is freaked and Nate tries to comfort him with a kiss. In his vulnerable state, Aaron allows it and it leads to more. The boys are forced to confront the realities of their relationship and whether it's back on.
Later, reality hits when Aaron receives yet another text. Nate has a plan and the boys lie in wait for the blackmailer - which leads to a shocking surprise...
Meanwhile, Paige convinces a reluctant Amy to give John Doe a job. A bond develops as Amy and John work together. Amy also successfully finds John somewhere to stay - Sheila's. John is thrilled, but Paige is starting to feel on the outer. When she visits Amy and John having a great time in the Canning spa, she begins to fear the man she has feelings for is slipping away.
Elsewhere, Paul suggests to Steph that Mark is only dating her to get to him. Steph rejects this, but Paul has planted a seed. Steph is forced to put her heart on the line, but does Mark feel the same way as her? Later, a chance sighting of Mark's police notebook gives Paul a clue in his quest to clear his name.

After reading the spoiler again, wanting to come to the bottom of my confusion.... it hit me that half of the spoiler is from next week and the other from this week. Is my assumption correct?

My guess is that Tom Quill has teamed up with Jacka. The money found by Xanthe and Ben were in a fridge in Tom's room. Probably to pay someone (Jacka?) for the job.
I don't think John Doe is a villian. But we will have to wait and see who he is and why he turned up in Erinsbourough.
Also if I understood correctly Tom Quill is going to be found alive . Then might be Brodie is going to be the 3rd victim?

Imogen has received an offer from Naomi to come and work for her company in LA. Despite being tempted, Imogen couldn't bear to leave Daniel. He tells her that he'll come to LA too. Imogen is delighted and immediately starts to worry how he'll get a working visa.*Weighing up all the visas he might be eligible for, Daniel tells Imogen that he would never want her to get married for a visa - but maybe the time is right? Daniel makes a romantic proposal and Imogen accepts.
