MARTA would be allowed to work and reside in the UK so maybe MARIA has met a Turkish Cypriot who she has fallen madly in love with and wants to bring him home to her love nest in Coronation Street.

Maria should stay in Cyprus with her new husband
Freddie showed a different side the other day. A side that may help Kylie
Over on Coronation Street, Maria Connor has a surprise in store when she makes her return to the cobbles.
Maria (Samia Ghadie) has been away in Cyprus over the past few months, but what she's been up to while she's been there will surprise everyone.
It's initially a happy reunion for Maria and her loved ones, but things take a turn when a guy called Pablo joins her on the Street.
Maria isn't pleased to see that Pablo has followed her back from Cyprus and she reluctantly agrees to meet up with him the next day so they can talk properly.
After telling her boyfriend Luke Britton (Dean Fagan) that she's heading out to meet 'an old school friend', Maria goes off to see Pablo as planned.

Unfortunately for Maria, she's quickly caught out when Luke follows her to the restaurant - forcing her to admit that she has married Pablo as a favour.
Explaining the whole story, Maria reveals that Pablo's parents don't know he's gay and she tied the knot with him so he can be with his British boyfriend.
Luke is shellshocked by Maria's confession and is unable to support her decision as she desperately tries to justify herself. Could this be the end of the road for Luke and Maria?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 13 at 7.30pm on ITV.

Monday (1)
An exhausted Sarah moans to David that Harry kept her awake all night with his crying. Bethany insists on taking Harry out and orders her mum to get some sleep. When Sarah asks Billy if he can squeeze Harry in for a christening as a matter of urgency, Billy is bemused but promises he will look into it.
Later Lauren and her mates approach Bethany and make snide remarks about Harry, calling him ugly. As Bethany tries to shake off the bullies, Nick comes to her rescue. When Lauren gives Nick some backchat, Nick suddenly loses it. Grabbing Lauren's bag, he hurls it into the road and the girls are shocked.
Meanwhile, excited at the thought of Maria's return, Luke tells Kirk that he's bought Liam an 'I Love Weatherfield' t-shirt as a welcome home present. Luke arrives back from the airport with Maria. He's clearly thrilled to have her home but Maria appears uneasy. When Kirk presents Liam with an 'I Love Weatherfield' t-shirt, Luke's angry that he openly stole his idea.

Elsewhere, Izzy calls in the gym and begs Gary to contact Dane and buy her some more cannabis as the pain has become unbearable. Gary reluctantly agrees. Later, Dane calls in the gym with the drugs for Gary. As Gary quickly hustles him out of the door, Sharif watches and gets suspicious.
Also, Chesney is saddened after a phone call with Joseph, wishing he could see more of his son. Sinead feels for him. Later, Aidan wonders if Sinead would be up for another modelling gig. Sinead is unsure, but when Fiz points out she could use the money to take Chesney to Portugal to see Joseph, she agrees.
Finally, Tyrone and Fiz have a clearout of junk. As Tyrone sets off for the charity shop, Cathy points out some of it could be worth good money.
Monday (2)
Freaked out by his own actions, Nick wanders off in a daze. Promising Bethany that she's not heard the last of this, Lauren and her mates head off.
Soon afterwards, Sarah announces that she's hoping to have Harry christened next week and that she's going to ask Todd, Nick and Carla to be godparents. Sarah summons Nick to Number 8. Worried that she is going to tear a strip off him for the way he handled Bethany's bullies, Nick is relieved when she only asks him to be Harry's godfather. Nick thanks Bethany for keeping quiet about the incident with Lauren, but she points out that his outburst has only made the situation worse.
Later, the Platts are taken aback when Lauren and her mum barge into Number 8 and accuse Nick of assault. Nick confesses to David how he reckons he has to accept he's brain damaged for life.

Meanwhile, at the salon, Maria is regaling tales of Cyprus. Her phone rings and she sees that it's Pablo, so she quickly heads outside to take the call. Later, Maria is angry to find Pablo on her doorstep. Telling him Luke is upstairs, she quickly dispatches him, promising she'll be in touch tomorrow. Pablo kisses her on the cheek as Audrey watches from across the street.
Elsewhere, Dane gives Gary the cannabis outside the gym, unaware that Sharif is watching on CCTV. Sharif confides in Zeedan that he reckons Gary is dealing steroids and he's going to watch him like a hawk until he has concrete evidence.
Also, Fiz arrives home to be greeted by a mountain of junk in the living room. Tyrone explains that people pay good money for scrap metal and he intends to make some cash, but Fiz is sceptical.
Finally, when Sinead finds Chesney and Gemma sharing a laugh in the kebab shop, she feels a little jealous. Still smarting, Sinead tells Chesney how she's got another modelling job and intends to use the cash to take them to Portugal. Chesney is thrilled.
Wednesday
Luke offers to take Maria for lunch, but she makes out that she's already meeting an old school friend. Audrey is suspicious. Soon afterwards, Audrey and Kylie overhear Maria on the phone arranging to meet her friend for lunch in town. When Luke calls in the salon with flowers for Maria, Kylie suggests he should deliver them to the restaurant where Maria is meeting her friend.
Luke is shocked to find Maria there with Pablo. Maria introduces Pablo, explaining that his parents don't know he's gay and she married him as a favour so he can be with his British boyfriend. Luke is gobsmacked. In the Bistro, Maria tries to justify her marriage to an astonished Luke, Steph and Kirk. Unable to comprehend, Luke heads off upset and Maria's devastated.
Meanwhile, Sharif installs some expensive new CCTV equipment in the gym, hoping to catch Gary red-handed. Dev reckons he is wasting company money. Convinced that his mate is not dealing steroids, Zeedan tells Sharif that he's going to set Gary up and prove him wrong.
Zeedan approaches Gary and asks him if he can score him some steroids. Gary refuses and is clearly horrified. As a delighted Zeedan confirms to Sharif that Gary definitely isn't dealing drugs, Gary arrives and realises Zeedan was testing him. Realising that Gary has been scoring dope for Izzy, Erica warns him not to jeopardise his job. Will Gary listen?

Elsewhere, when Tyrone explains that he's collecting scrap metal to raise some cash, Rita offers him her old washing machine. Tyrone is delighted. At Number 9, Cathy admires Tyrone's metal haul and suggests to Fiz that she should be supportive as he's doing this for the family.
Also today, Nick makes David promise not to tell anyone about his recent trauma.
Friday (1)
Izzy asks Gary if he'll score her some more dope. When Dane calls at the gym for Gary, Sharif is deeply suspicious and phones the police. As Dane leaves the gym, he bumps into Gary and hands him some cannabis just as the police arrive.
Soon afterwards, Anna calls at Izzy's flat. Suddenly Izzy panics, thinking Jake is playing with her dope tin. Anna is furious to realise Izzy is still taking drugs whilst in charge of her son.
Having found nothing on Dane, the police let him go - but they find a quarter of cannabis on Gary and arrest him. As Izzy and Anna row over her drug use, they're stopped by a phone call from Erica informing them of Gary's arrest. Anna turns on Izzy, wanting to know if she's going to tell the police what this is really all about.

In a desperate bid to win him back, Maria dons a lion costume and approaches the garage. Kevin and Tyrone watch amused as Maria declares her undying love for Luke. Will he forgive her?
Elsewhere, Fiz reminds Tyrone that he needs to start shifting some of the junk he's amassed. When Norris and Mary find the iron Coronation Street signs missing from the walls, they accuse Tyrone of taking them to sell them on. Tyrone is incensed.
Also, Sinead goes down with a bout of flu and tells Chesney he'll have to fly to Portugal alone.
Finally, Sarah asks Todd if he'll be Harry's godfather. Todd is touched and accepts.
Friday (2)
Izzy heads off and is clearly a woman on a mission. Erica then ushers Anna, Sharif, Dev and Zeedan into the gym. Sharif admits that he called the police on Gary and Anna puts Sharif straight, explaining the cannabis was for Izzy. When Erica confirms that Izzy uses weed for pain relief, Dev is surprised to learn of Erica's involvement. Sharif remains adamant that he did the right thing as Gary was acting illegally.
Izzy hands herself in at the police station and explains that Gary was buying the drugs for her. Gary is released but charged with supplying drugs. When Izzy finds out that she's made matters worse and Gary is now on a drugs supply charge, she's devastated but she refuses to give up the weed and tells Anna that if she tries to take Jake from her, she'll be the one calling the police.
Meanwhile, when Billy calls at Number 8 and tells Sarah that he might have to postpone Harry's christening, Sarah is furious and insists it has to take place on Monday. Billy and Kylie are taken aback at her overreaction. Billy calls on Sarah again and confirms he can now fit Harry's christening in on Monday. Sarah is enormously grateful.
Elsewhere, Norris and Mary call at Number 9 and apologise to Tyrone for wrongly accusing him of stealing the street signs which they now know have been removed by the council for cleaning. Norris gives Tyrone an old fridge as a peace offering. Tyrone is thrilled, pointing out to Fiz that he should now be able to afford his taxi licence.
Also, whilst babysitting for Tyrone and Fiz, Luke gets down on one knee and proposes to Maria. A flu-ridden Sinead's misery is compounded when Chesney tells her that he'll be staying with Katy and Joseph in their apartment. Chesney leaves for Portugal and Sinead confides in Fiz that she reckons Chesney would rather be anywhere but with her at the moment.
