Meanwhile, ​Emmerdale​'s Kerry Wyatt is unable to resist some April Fools Day fun at the start of next month - but her 'harmless' prank quickly spirals out of control.

Kerry (Laura Norton) decides to target her partner Dan by setting up a scenario where he thinks he's sent the wrong car to the crusher at the garage - what could possibly go wrong?

Later, Kerry is horrified to arrive at the garage and find Cain Dingle punching Dan, realising that her joke must have backfired badly.

Things get even worse when Dan retaliates by quitting his job and storms off, with his whole livelihood now at risk thanks to Kerry.

But as Kerry rushes off in pursuit of an upset Dan, it's clear from the expressions on Cain and Adam's faces that not everything is as it seems...

It could possibly be that we could be rocked by how maybe Dan may or may not be hurt and could potentially spell the end for this character and so include an exit for one of the characters in that sort of story group, shall we say. Could he be the one whose days in the village are numbered? Will Dan be one of them be meeting their maker later in 2016?

The Soaplife (14-25 March 2016) spoiler for this was "Who instructs thugs to beat up a village favourite... and will he survive?"

A recent Digital Spy members opinion poll for who is the Favourite Emmerdale Character 2016 (out of 75 listed characters) was won by #1 Top Man, Robert Sugden (of course! :)), with Aaron Livesy being very close behind him for now. Dan was #38, so still a "village favourite", for some I guess...

(BTW, April 1st is due soon...if not sooner...Haha!)

Kerry's April Fool's prank goes horribly wrong

An Emmerdale insider said: “Kerry is desperate to pull off her prank and goes to great lengths to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible.

“She sets Dan up by making him think he crushed the wrong car. When she arrives at the garage, it’s all kicking off with Cain.

“He is fuming with Dan and gives him a bit of a beating.

“Dan has no choice but to quit his job, much to Kerry’s horror. She can’t believe all the trouble she has caused with her stupid prank.

“But it could be that Dan rumbled her plan because once the pair are out of sight Cain and Adam fall about laughing.”

So it seems that Dan was expecting an April Fool's prank from Kerry at some time on Friday 1 April. When Dan realised what Kerry's prank was ("the wrong car"), Dan told Cain and Adam about it and together they planned a pay-back, so Kerry's April Fool's prank goes horribly wrong. For her! Haha!

So when the Soaplife spoiler asked "Who instructs thugs to beat up a village favourite... and will he survive?", it meant Dan instructs "thugs" Cain and Adam to beat him up. Of course, Dan survives.

Laurel tells Harriet that she is worried Ashley has lost his faith and urges her to talk to him.

Meanwhile, Holly positions herself in the pub, ready to carry out her and Charity's plan. Soon the fire alarm goes off and Charity ushers everyone out. Holly heads down to the cellar, but is greeted by Moira. Has Charity stitched her up?

Elsewhere, David worries about Pollard when Tracy tells him that his dad burst in on a guest to use the bathroom because he was desperate. As Pollard continues to rush off to the toilet, David suggests that he should get checked out by the doctor. Pollard becomes angry, covering his fear.

Also today, Marlon struggles to come to terms with the fact that Leo is moving to Germany.

David is concerned that Pollard might have prostate cancer after looking into his symptoms. Pollard agrees to go to the doctors, but only if David will get himself checked out too.

Later, when both men go ahead with their appointments, Doctor Bailey also encourages David to get checked over while he's there.

Meanwhile, Moira tells Holly that she'll be working at the garage to pay back her debts. Later, Moira confides in Adam that Holly has been taking drugs again and she's had to pay off her dealer. Moira is determined to keep her daughter safe this time, but is that really the end of it?

Elsewhere, Laurel accepts when Ashley assures her that he's made the right decision. Harriet is more worried about the situation when Ashley goes to call the bishop.

Also today, Victoria is excited when Megan says she'll sort out an agreement with her street food business, Rishi tells Lisa that he'd like to look at the house as he's interested in the land, while Leyla reassures Jacob that Tracy fancying David is nothing to worry about.

Backed into a corner, David admits that the doctor has found a lump and she's floored when he tells her it could be cancer.

Meanwhile, Belle tries to scupper Rishi's plans to buy the Dingles' as she shows him round the house, pointing out false concerns including various graves in the garden. When Lisa realises what she's up to, she makes it clear to her daughter how selfish she is being - already grumpy after receiving her decree nisi through the post. Back at the factory, Joanie advises Belle that she needs to grow up as Lisa needs her support.

Elsewhere, Cain catches Holly taking money from a customer and demands she hands it over. She's thwarted when he says that he knows about Dean wanting more cash and warns her that she needs him and her mum onside. At the same time, Charity is surprised when Moira has a proposal for her.

Also today, Harriet toys with the idea of taking over from Ashley as vicar.

Finally, Jacob is pleased to see Tracy is deflated when he tells her that his mum will be visiting for his birthday.

Cain tricks Holly into getting in the back of the van. He then locks her in and tells her to ring Dean, as they're setting him up.

On a secluded road, they're soon joined by Dean. Cain offers him a deal, if he stays away from Holly. Will it work, or will Cain's plan backfire?

Meanwhile, Belle cuts her hand on some broken glass at the factory. As Dr Bailey attends to her, she inflates her role in the business and skirts around the truth when it comes to her age. Dr Bailey is clearly impressed with her, but is he treading dangerous waters?

Elsewhere, David and Leyla are shocked to realise Jacob has jumped to conclusions after hearing them together the previous day. Tracy feels snubbed by David's distance and he tries to keep a brave face up after telling Jacob about the lump.

Also, Chrissie and Andy are enjoying their risky trysts, but Victoria makes life difficult by trying to play matchmaker with Tracy and Andy during her birthday party in the pub.

Cain attacks a henchman. Holly is devastated as Dean drives off, but is astonished to realise that Cain has a further plan.

Later, Cain pulls up near a bus stop and tells Holly to go and to never come back. However, will Holly regain the upper hand when she threatens to tell Moira what happened between them today?

Meanwhile, Chas is suspicious to see drawers have been rummaged through and Noah tells her it was Liv. Over at the shop, Liv is having an argument with David over the cost of things and starts throwing fruit at him. Aaron catches her and gives David his money back. However, Chas is not pleased and makes a suggestion that stuns them both.

Elsewhere, Tracy plays a drinking game in the pub for Victoria's birthday and jumps into Andy's arms just as Chrissie walks in. Andy is left worried that he's blown things with Chrissie.

Also, Dr Bailey drops Belle off at the factory and there's clearly an attraction between the pair.

Finally, David tells Jacob that he and Leyla are just friends.

Aaron decides Liv is going to stay with him, but she is conflicted when she gets a text from Gordon. They meet and Gordon manipulates information from her, before she agrees to find him further proof.

Later, Robert is unnerved by Liv's questions. As Robert explains his worries to Aaron, Liv secretly listens in, recording the conversation. Will Robert let slip about Ryan?

Meanwhile, Moira is still incredulous that Holly never told her at the time she had relapsed. Holly explains how she got clean again and promises not to let Moira down, but can she stay true to her word?

Elsewhere, Kerry can't wait to see her April Fool's Day prank on Dan play out, but she's horrified when she sees Cain punching Dan and Dan quits his job. Has her prank backfired?

Also today, Andy and Chrissie panic when they hear Bernice coming, just after they've slept together. Andy hides under a desk, but everyone is mortified when Bernice finds him in just his underwear. Is the cat out of the bag?

Finally, Belle tells Priya she's met someone and mentions he's older than her. She plays down the actual age difference, so Priya tells her to go on a date and have fun.

Both Chas Dingle and Robert Sugden grow suspicious of Liv, with Chas discovering some drawers have been rummaged through and Noah telling her that it was Liv. But Aaron continues to give his sister the benefit of the doubt.

However, he is forced to wade in when her rebellious behaviour in David’s shop leads her to start chucking stock around in an argument over prices. As Chas makes a suggestion that stuns both Aaron and Liv, a decision rests in the stressed out brother’s hands.

Later on, Liv is pushed once more by Gordon to keep digging and Robert becomes unnerved by her constant questions.

Thinking he and Aaron are alone, he is finally able to talk more frankly and begins discussing his fears over Ryan, the boy he paid to make allegations against Gordon. As sneaky Liv overhears and begins recording the conversation, is the entire trial about to collapse?

A decree nisi or rule nisi (from Latin nisi, meaning "unless") is a court order that does not have any force unless a particular condition is met. Once the condition is met, the ruling becomes a decree absolute (rule absolute), and is binding. Typically, the condition is that an adversely affected party fail to provide satisfactory evidence or argument that the decree should not take effect (i.e. the decree takes effect unless the party shows that it shouldn't). For that reason, a decree nisi may also be called a rule, order or decree to show cause.

Using the example of a divorce, the wording of such a decree is generally in the form of "that the marriage, had and solemnized on (date) between AB and CD, be dissolved by reason that (grounds) UNLESS sufficient cause be shown to the court why this decree should not be made absolute within six weeks of the making hereof".
