Neighbours fans, it's time to get excited. Channel 5 is planning to give the show a special 10pm screening next month as Lassiters becomes the hotel from hell.
Show bosses have come up with a gripping 'Hotel Death Trap' storyline, which will see tragedy strike when a massive explosion rocks the Lassiters complex.
The action kicks off on Monday April 4 on Channel 5, when an hour-long 10pm special sees the hotel's boiler room explode.
In the chaotic aftermath, a number of residents and guests will find themselves buried and trapped beneath rubble and debris - and not everyone will make it out alive.

Over the course of the action-packed week, each episode is set in a different room and focuses on the fate of a separate set of characters. By the end of the week, the lives of some of our favourites will have been changed forever.
Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison commented: "Hotel Death Trap week might well be the biggest week of Neighbours ever. Kicking off with an explosion at Lassiters Hotel, every episode sees brand new stories unfold, including shock returns, mysterious strangers, twists and turns aplenty and jeopardy for all our beloved characters.
"Tragically, by the time the dust settles, the death count will be up to three. Who won't make it out alive?"

Channel 5's commissioner Greg Barnett added: "This week-long event promises to be the most gripping and dramatic ever for the series.
"As the week's episodes play out, we find more people trapped, more destruction caused and more shocking secrets revealed. It really is going to be an incredible week. And the consequences will leave the residents of Ramsay Street reeling."
The deadly explosion will be caused after someone gets up to no good in the hotel's boiler room, leading to a big whodunit mystery for the residents to ponder.
Channel 5 previously aired Neighbours at 10pm in 2013, when an explosion rocked Toadie and Sonya Rebecchi's wedding day. Another scheduling experiment the following year saw a 'first look' 6.30pm screening added in for Kate Ramsay's tragic death.
Coming next month to Channel 5, a UK exclusive 10pm episode of Neighbours, as part of ‘Hotel Death Trap’ week. The week promises five days of gripping and unmissable drama, when viewers will see the demise of a much-loved Ramsay St regular. In one of the soap’s most emotional and moving death scenes since Harold lost his beloved Madge, Neighbours fans – no strangers to the odd natural or man-made disaster – will be left reeling for months to come when a massive explosion at the Lassiter’s complex threatens the lives of their favourite characters in a week-long special that begins on Channel 5 on Monday 4th April.
Producers of the Channel 5 hit show have warned viewers that at least two regular cast members will be checking-out for good by the end of the week, with a number of cliff hangers to keep them guessing as to whose lives are in jeopardy. The cast departures will be counterbalanced with the arrival of two surprise returns to the show, as well as the unveiling of two mysterious strangers, at least one of whom will provide an on-going storyline for many weeks to come. And, of course, with a number of red herrings seeded along the way, the show will keep viewers guessing on the culprit behind the explosion for the next few months, in the ultimate game of whodunnit.
Channel 5 Commissioner Greg Barnett said:
“This week long event promises to be the most gripping and dramatic ever for the series. I’m delighted UK fans get this world exclusive 10pm episode which is totally must see. As the week’s episodes play out we find more people trapped, more destruction caused and more shocking secrets revealed. It really is going to be an incredible week. And the consequences will leave the residents of Ramsay Street reeling.”
Neighbours Executive Producer, Jason Herbison added:
“Hotel Death Trap week might well be the biggest week of Neighbours ever. Kicking off with an explosion at Lassiters Hotel, every episode sees brand new stories unfold, including shock returns, mysterious strangers, twists and turns aplenty and jeopardy for all our beloved characters. Tragically, by the time the dust settles the death count will be up to three. Who won’t make it out alive?”
The action kicks off on Channel 5 on Monday 4th April with a gripping hour-long 10pm special, which sees Erinsborough’s renowned leisure complex a hive of activity. Unaware that someone is up to no good in the hotel’s boiler room, the residents go about their daily business with secret rendez-vous, surprise encounters and the arrival of not one, but two, mystery men. As the boiler room explodes, Lassiters suddenly becomes the hotel from Hell, as residents and guests are buried and trapped beneath the former hotel building. Over the course of the week each episode is set in a different room, and plays out the fate of a separate set of characters. And by the end of the week, the lives of some of the Ramsay Street Neighbours will be irrevocably changed.
Neighbours airs Monday-Friday on Channel 5 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm. UK Exclusive episode airs at 10pm on 4th April

I'm really looking forward to this. Two regular characters die!

At least 2, seen other comments where it says 3 die ... Kyle appears to be one of the victims :(

Sad about Kyle. :(
I wonder who the other regular will be? The third is possibly a guest character like Tom Quill...or perhaps even Doug? I was thinking the other day he's likely to be killed off rather than fade away painfully and slowly. Actually, Doug's been back a while now so could he perhaps be counted as a regular character?

Lauren with a bit of luck ... then Paige .... followed by Imogen .... as long as Bossy is ok ....

Nene's death would be very welcome, although it would be too cruel for Amy to lose both her mum and boyfriend at once.

So am pretty sure that the 3 to die in the Lassiters explosion are Kyle, Imogen and Josh!
Not official but judging by their personal Twitter/Instagram pages.. Kyle is a definite anyways as we have known he is leaving for a long time. Imogen has been posting piccies of herself in LA. Imogen and Josb are a rl couple so pretty sure Josh is gone too on account of that! If am wrong sorry but no one else makes sense.

Also that would explain why Ned Willis makes a return..
I've heard rumours the actors who play Imogen and Josh have left or are leaving soon. It's possible one or both die in the explosion, although to lose the two at once would be very cruel on their family. I'm hoping Josh leaves to be with Matilda.
The spoilers say two regulars will die, which implies the third will be a more minor character.

It will be Imogen and Kyle then but I still wouldn't rule out josh just yet! I would love if Tom quill or Steph snuffed it also!
It looks like it would be Imogen and Kyle as the two regular characters and possibly Tom Quill or Doug or someone else. Josh probably decides to join Amber and Matilda as it was mentioned in the spoilers that he spoke to Doug - "...Josh laments to Doug the aimless state of his life. Since his Olympic hopes died, he’s been in limbo and feels useless at everything – he can’t even be a dad to Matilda because she’s miles away. An impassioned entreaty from Doug convinces him that he must go…"
imogen and Josh do not die in the explosion. Ariel & Harley only filmed their last scenes in mid February and don't leave till mid May. Both will be around weeks after the explosion.
We know 3 die but could be 1 regular which is likely to be Kyle and 2 guest characters.

I like Bossy, I would be heartbroken if that dog wasn't around anymore.

paige, brad and lauren perishing in the fire would suit me
All current characters are pretty much around after the explosion. Photos & videos posted by the cast on instagram/snapchat/twitte/facebook pretty much confirm they are still filming.
Gail Easdale (Julie Quill) was filming with the cast on location last week at Box Hill Town Hall. Courtroom scenes were being filmed. The court scenes will probably have something to do with Lassiters explosion.
Chris Milligan's last week is explosion week.
Imogen & Josh leave in mid May, so they don't die.
So the deaths are likely Kyle and 2 guest or 2 returning characters.
Looks like we won't be get any spoilers for explosion. They are keeping every under wraps to surprise fans.
New photos have been released showing Toadie, Josh & Daniel trapped.
Paige & new character John Doe on the floor.
Karl rescuing Sarah Beaumont.

Josh doesn't die, as Harley only finished filming in February and doesn't leave screens till mid May.
All current cast members apart from Kyle are around after the explosion.

They are saying the death is an emotional one. Kyle's death won't be that emotional. What if Georgia comes back, and Kyle goes to see her at Lassiters and they both die? That would explain why Kyle is at lassiters and would be on par with the Harold/Madge one they are talking about.
The previous week it says that Kyle has agreed to meet up with Georgia.
They are saying two regulars are dying.
We know Kyle is one. I am going to guess the 2nd regular is Georgia considering the viewers are close to her and she was a regular, meaning that the third would be a guest character like one of the Quill's. Not sure which one.
More importantly, who caused the explosion?

Kyle, Georgia and the Quill son, whoever his name is.
Who will die in the Lassiters explosion?
An explosive week of Neighbours is coming on Monday 4th April as Lassiters becomes a Hotel Death Trap. In the aftermath of the boiler room exploding we will see arrivals, departures and returning characters set to shock us at every turn.
In an exclusive hour long episode on Channel Eleven Tuesday 5th April, one of the most emotional and moving death scenes ever will air.
So what else can we expect from this hotel horror? We’ve got five more spoilers to get you prepared.
1. Josh Willis and Daniel Robinson’s lives hang in the balance
As a result of the explosion both Josh Willis and Daniel Robinson are left buried beneath rubble and a fallen beam. Will they be rescued in time?
2. Toadie’s luck takes a turn for the worse
Just after getting back on his feet from his accident in 2015, Toadie now finds himself in a perilous situation. Can his life be saved?
3. Sarah Beaumont returns to Erinsborough
Karl will be spotted carrying ex fling, Sarah Beaumont, from the explosion. Susan is set to be shocked when she sees her arch nemesis has returned!
4. Ned Willis appears amongst the carnage
Beth Brennan and Brad Willis’ son Ned Willis will arrive in Erinsborough. The question being, why has has he decided to show his face after all this time?
5. Mystery man saves a life
Paige's life is put in danger by the explosion but luckily she is shown to be saved by a mystery man.
It’s sure to be one of the most gripping weeks in Neighbours history as the repercussions of the explosion will be felt for months to come. It all starts Monday 4th April on Eleven, don’t miss it - oh and get the tissues ready, you’ll need them!

It looks like Kyle will be one of the victims.
I`m guessing Tom Quill will be the other death. But he`s not really a regular character.
I would love to know how the explosion started. It could be something to do with the Quill`s hiding evidence of wrong doing. If it leads to Paul Robinson getting his empire back I`ll be very happy.
I reckon it'll be Kyle, Josh, Paige and potentially Doug?
Fingers crossed for Paige! :p
Just came across this spoiler...
Friday 8th April - Kyle leaves town to be with Georgia - but how will Amy cope with the rejection?
I said this would happen a while ago and was met with some anger...surprise surprise :p
I mean, it could be a red herring, but I didn't see Chris leaving for good, he seems like the type who'd come back temporary or permanently. I sort of get the feeling he left more so to move to LA to be with his GF...which is understandable!
Like I said, it could just be a red herring spoiler, but just thought I'd share :)
I think Kyle leaves to be with Georgia too

it's not Paige .... she is in it weeks after with the mystery guy trying to figure out his past and who he is.

After reading the latest spoilers it seems that Kyle is not one of the victims. Could it be Daniel instead? Privately he got engaged to his girlfriend who lives in the US. It might be that Tim wants to move there too?
Could Daniel die? I don't remember reading any future spoilers about him. The silly business of Imogen being attracted to Tyler would leave her feeling even more broken hearted and guilty, which could lead her to leave Erinsborough (as is rumoured will happen).

Hmm! Good shout! I could see that being a possibility. Plus, I hate the "will they won't they" storylines. I thought originally that Imogen and Tyler would work, but now I'm just bored of it haha

No Daniel does not die. Madison arrives on 22nd April to check up on Daniel.
Looks like Daniel ends up breaking his leg. Tim was on crutches in a video Neighbours posted in January.

my guess is that the situations with Josh & Kyle will end up changing around.
Josh is at death's door while Kyle seems fine after being electrocuted. So Josh will be saved and Kyle dies.
With Josh being saved, it give Harley some good storylines to work with for a few weeks.
Kyle could leave with Georiga and then collapse and die in Georgia's arms. They are keeping a lot of stuff under wraps. So he could collaspe on Friday 8th April cliffhanger and we won't find out he dies till the Monday.
If Kyle does die, they are hardly going to reveal it in spoilers. Kyle is the only regular who is leaving. Bringing Georgia back would make Kyle's death more emotional. He was just about to leave with his wife but dies in her arms.

Neighbours waves goodbye to one of its most-loved characters next month as Kyle Canning says an emotional farewell to Ramsay Street.
These new pictures offer a first look at Kyle's departure, as he leaves his loved ones in Erinsborough behind after reuniting with his ex-girlfriend Georgia Brooks.
Georgia (Saskia Hampele) makes a surprise return to the Street next month and admits that the biggest mistake of her life was leaving Kyle. Took her long enough to figure that one out!
But just to throw a spanner in the works, Georgia is now heading off for a new nursing job in Europe, so Kyle will have to join her there if he wants them to be together.
Now tied up with his new love interest Amy Williams, it's clear that Kyle has a life-changing decision to make - but will it be taken out of his hands altogether when Amy walks in on him kissing Georgia?

Kyle's love triangle is later disrupted by the huge explosion disaster which rocks Lassiters hotel and leads to tragedy for some of the Street's residents.
While Kyle survives the week, he's reluctant to leave at such a difficult time for the locals - but ultimately decides to go ahead and put his own happiness first.
Christopher Milligan, who plays Kyle, filmed his final Neighbours scenes at the end of last year. He'd played Kyle since 2008 - originally introduced as a guest before later being promoted to a show regular.

Who the hell is dying then? It doesn't make sense if all these people like Imogen, Josh, Toadie have all been seen on set.
It would have been better having Kyle and Georgia die together instead of leave together.
A loved character, a resident. 3 deaths. Something isn't right. I reckon some of these on set sightings were wrong.

I'm not referring to just that one post but the copious unsubstantiated "spoilers" you've written about the explosion in recent days. As another poster says above, they can't all be right.
New issue of TV Soap reveals that Doug collapses after being evcuated from the hotel by Ned.
Would they really have Brad lose his son and dad?

I'm glad you asked that question because it proves you're just speculating like the rest of us but presenting it as fact. And by the way, Harold lost three family members in one go.

Full blast
Neighbours has plenty of intense drama coming up. We look at how an explosion at Lassiters shakes up lives and loves.
Get ready for the biggest week of Neighbours ever with a huge explosion set to rip through Lassiters hotel when the boiler blows. Some of your favourite characters will be fighting for their lives while others will be forever changed. If that's not enough drama, one controversial character will make a shock return and new arrivals will make a dramatic entrance. So whose life is at risk and who will get an unwelcome blast from the past?
Josh
The once talented athlete has been struggling to find direction in life since an abseiling injury damaged his shoulder, ruling him out of a career as a professional swimmer.
Josh (Harley Bonner) has been trying to figure out a career path ever since going from gym manager to illegal supplement salesman and now working at the Robinsons' motel, all with little success.
His personal life is also a mess with his ex-girlfriend Amber (Jenna Rosenow) now living in Queensland raising their baby daughter Matilda on her own. Despite Josh being in love with her, Amber said she didn't feel the same and decided to start a new life without him.
Now Josh is wondering what to do with his life after Imogen (Ariel Kaplan) and Daniel (Tim Phillipps) point out his lack of direction. A heart-to-heart with Doug (Terence Donovan) makes Josh realise he needs to move to Queensland so that he can be a father to Matilda. Frustrated that Brad (Kip Gamblin) isn't supporting his decision, Josh decides to tell Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) in the hope of getting her on board.
While waiting for Terese at Lassiters, Josh starts arguing with Daniel, who accuses Josh of being impulsive. Josh ignores him but gets fired up when Terese doesn't show. While Terese is actually dealing with a maintenance issue at the hotel, Josh thinks Daniel is refusing to tell her that Josh needs to speak with her.
Just as their feud heats up, the hotel boiler blows, sending debris crashing down around them and trapping Josh and Daniel underneath a column. Paul (Stefan Dennis) and Karl (Alan Fletcher) are the first to find them and while both Josh and Daniel are alive it's clear they need to get them out fast. Daniel needs to be freed so that he can get urgent hospital treatment but Josh has a crush injury and moving the colum may cause a massive haemorrhage.
Aware that the choice is between his life and Daniel's, Josh tells Karl to remove the column to save Daniel hoping that he too might survive. Will Josh make it?
Karl
Looking for survivors after the explosion, the last person Karl expects to see when he opens a hotel room door is Sarah Beaumont (Nicola Charles), the woman he had an affair with. While Karl is shocked to see her there is little time to wonder as she needs to get out of the hotel fast.
As they're leaving Karl gets a call from Susan (Jackie Woodburne) who is at The Waterhole and he urges her to go home where it's safe, neglecting to mention Sarah's surprise return. Turning his attention back to Sarah, who is struggling to move because she sprained her ankle during the explosion, Karl sweeps her into his arms, only to run into Susan.
Bewildered as to why Karl would lie about meeting Sarah, Karl tries to explain to Susan that he didn't want to upset her but it doesn't ease her worries. Sarah also assures Susan that nothing happened. Though Susan is confident Karl wouldn't do anything, she reveals to Lauren that it's Sarah she's worried about.
Just why has Sarah come back to Erinsborough and what does she want? Later Sarah visits Ramsay Street and as she stares at the Kennedy house it's obvious that something is going on.
Kyle
Torn between two women, Kyle (Chris Milligan) has been struggling to get things back on track with Amy (Zoe Cramond) after she betrayed him when she read a letter his estranged wife Georgia (Saskia Hampele) sent him. She is growing more insecure by his refusal to confirm plans for Christmas. Though he eventually tells her they'll spend the festive season together, unknown to Amy, Kyle has been in secret contact with Georgia and arranges to meet up.
Standing face to face with Georgia at the hotel, Kyle is stunned by her declaration of love. She says that leaving him was the biggest mistake of her life. She has a new job in Europe and wants Kyle to join her with a plane ticket already bought and paid for. Kyle is overcome by Georgia's speech and kisses her, uncertain what to do about Amy as he truly does care for her.
They've been spotted by Amy who has tracked Kyle down to the hotel after he lied about where he was going. Devastated by what she's seen, Amy runs out into an elevator, which Kyle slips into just before it closes.
Amy refuses to talk but is forced to when the lift stops between floors. As they try to work out what's going on, the explosion rips through the hotel leaving Amy and Kyle in the dark waiting for rescue until Kyle smells smoke. Worried about the fire he tries to get out of the manhole but suffers an electric shock.
He falls back into Amy's arms looking weak and pale. Will Kyle survive to forge a happy future with Amy or Georgia?
Doug
Though Doug's Alzheimer's has caused him great distress he has enjoyed spending more time with Brad and his grandchildren. Could his latest attempt to heal his family's wounds be his last?
Confused and shaken by the explosion, Doug is being evacuted from the hotel by none other than Ned (Ben Hall), Brad's son from his first marriage.
Doug asked Ned to come to Erinsborough to reconcile with Brad who thinks Doug is delusional when he mentions waiting for Ned. Brad is shocked to realise his father isn't imagining things when he spots Ned. It's a happy moment for Doug to see his family back together but it soon turns to tragedy when Doug collapses. What's wrong with him?

Monday, 4th April
When the boiler at Lassiters explodes, debris rains down and Daniel and Josh are trapped beneath a concrete column.
Paul and Karl are first on the scene and Karl quickly discerns that Daniel needs to be freed and rushed to hospital urgently or he will die.
While Josh, who has suffered a crush injury, will likely haemorrhage if the column that is trapping him is lifted.
Monday, 4th April - 1 hour long 10pm episode - UK only

Erinsborough's renowned leisure complex Lassiter's is a hive of activity -- including someone up to no good in the hotel's boiler room.

In the aftermath of the explosion, Karl knocks on a hotel room door and is astounded to discover the occupant - Sarah Beaumont!
Sporting a sprained ankle, Karl takes it upon himself to carry her to safety, only to come face to face with Susan.

Piper is agog at the sight of the chaos at Lassiters and wonders if Chas could have played a part in the explosion.

Susan asks Karl why he lied about meeting Sarah and he insists he did not want to upset her.
Karl rejects Nene's offer of help and is chased away by Paige before she can do any damage.
Thursday, 7th April
Brad begins reconciliation with Ned and asks him to stay in Edinborough but Lauren becomes cautious when she spies a distinctive gang tattoo on his chest.
When Mark asks Paul for CCTV footage of Lassiters to help investigate the fire his guilty reaction implies that he is hiding something.
Sonya makes a shocking discovery when she realises that Toadie's last phone call emanated from inside the hotel.
Friday, 8th April
Kyle decides to follow his heart and leaves Ramsay Street, his business and Amy, to go and be with Georgia.
The rescue team locate Toadie but he is in a precarious position and decides to make arrangements in case he does not make it.

Ben and Xanthe stumble on a bag of cash hidden in a fridge during a secret rendezvous in the hotel penthouse.

Is it possible that someone dies who hasn't been mentioned in the main spoilers?
So far the main ones have been Josh (who seems likely to die) Kyle, Amy, Daniel and Toadie. Do we think maybe someone who hasn't been the focus of the spoilers dies?
I mean, I know Neighbours are secretive so it could all be throwing the scent off the trail, but going by the spoilers and Imogen and Paige's reactions in that promo video, it seems likely Josh is a goner?
my guess is that the situations with Josh & Kyle will end up changing around.
I just don't think Kyle is going to die. I reckon Chris Milligan would be up for a return at some point (as a guest or a regular again).
At the moment I think it's possibly Josh and someone else, not sure who though!
But I could be wrong! We won't know until it airs :)

All other cast members have been accounted for after the explosion, either by filming on location, the Neighbourshood videos, as they are only filmed a week in advance or social media posts.
All the cast are now on a 2 week Easter production break.

He could end up dying after he and Georgia end up leaving.
Kyle was electrocuted, I don't think he would recover that quick from being electrocuted. I think they will be some after affects.
Neighbours do stage/fake photos. The one of Paige and Mark's wedding are an example. Mark was wearing a suit and a wedding ring and they didn't get married.

I struggle to believe this though, not gonna lie. I mean there's been so many "confirmed reports" based off of what people have seen via social media or on the tours etc.
I personally don't think Kyle will die, but we'll just have to wait and see :)

100% Josh is one of the deaths due to the spoilers the following week about Steph confronting the Willis girls. Paul saying "I'm truly sorry for your loss" is most likely saying that to Therese.
And looking at the pictures, if they are not a red herring, I'm actually disappointed the writers didn't kill off Georgia and Kyle together in each others arms. Missed a major major moment there.

You learn to ignore some peoples "fact" based spoilers :p
I mean, from memory, the most recent facts are, Kate is returning, Kyle definitely dies in Georgia's arms (I remember being called out for suggesting maybe Kyle doesn't die), Josh definitely goes to live with Amber, Tyler and Paige definitely get together, Mark can never really move on...amongst many others :p
The real facts are, we never really know what's going to happen until we watch it or someone in the production team spills the beans.
It's fun to speculate, don't get me wrong! But when certain people present wishful thinking as facts and are then rude to people who dare to question or call them out on it does my head in and really puts me off coming on here!
It's a soap, we like to have fun with speculation. Why some feel the need to belittle people for spelling mistakes, or questioning some of the spoilers is beyond me!

Monday
An explosion rocks Lassiters after Georgia returns.
Is Georgia heading back to tragedy?
Kyle arrives at the hotel to find Georgia waiting. She explains that she's heading off to a nursing job in Europe but couldn't leave without trying to fix the biggest mistake of her life - leaving Kyle. She even has a ticket for him to fly to Europe with her. Kyle is stunned and shaken by her plea but they soon share a kiss.
Not long afterwards, Amy catches Georgia and Kyle together. Amy is shattered by Kyle's betrayal and escapes but Kyle forces his way into the lift just as it's closing. Amy doesn't want to talk to him but they are both stuck when the lift cuts out between floors. They're still assessing their situation when the hotel boiler room explodes, causing carnage all round.
Meanwhile, Josh is disappointed when Brad isn't immediately supportive of his decision to move to Queensland to be with Matilda. He goes to Lassiters to tell Terese but ends up crossing swords with Daniel.
As the two guys clash, the explosion occurs. Daniel and Josh are trapped beneath a concrete column - but are they dead?
Monday - hour long 10pm special - UK only
The first victim of the explosion is revealed.
Who's about to be killed off?
In this hour-long 10pm special, Erinsborough's renowned leisure complex Lassiters is a hive of activity.
Unaware that someone is up to no good in the hotel's boiler room, the residents go about their daily business with secret reunions, surprise encounters and the arrival of two mystery men.
As the boiler room explodes, Lassiters suddenly becomes the hotel from hell, as residents and guests are buried and trapped beneath the rubble.
As not everyone will make it through the week, this episode will see the first of the victims revealed and Ramsay Street will never be the same again.
Tuesday
Susan is shellshocked to find Karl with Sarah.
Is the pair's marriage about to come under threat?
The aftermath of the Lassiters explosion continues.
Karl knocks on a hotel room door and the occupant is revealed to be Sarah Beaumont. Karl is eager to get Sarah out of the hotel but she sprained her ankle during the explosion. True to form, Karl soon finds himself lying to Susan about what he's up to.
Once out of the hotel, a struggling Sarah tries to get to triage but she's in a lot of pain. Karl takes it upon himself to swoop Sarah into his arms and carry her there. On the way, though, he comes face-to-face with a shocked Susan. Is trouble brewing?
Meanwhile, Erinsborough mourns the loss of a loved one.
Wednesday
Brad is stunned when he sees his son Ned in Erinsborough.
Why has he decided to join his family?
The hotel danger is far from over, with Doug still inside the building. A young man trying to evacuate him is revealed to be none other than Brad's estranged son Ned, who is visiting at Doug's request in the hope of achieving a family reconciliation.
Brad struggles to deal with his father's apparent "delusions" of waiting for Ned. However, just when Brad is about to lose patience and order Doug to go to hospital, Doug spots Ned and joins him. Brad follows in disbelief - extremely surprised to see his son in the area.
Meanwhile, although Karl is frantically busy attending to survivors of the explosion, Susan can't help but ask why he lied about meeting with Sarah Beaumont. Karl explains that he didn't want to upset her, particularly after the Nene incident but Susan is not reassured by this.
Elsewhere, after saving a mysterious newcomer from Nene's misguided attempt to "help" him, Paige becomes increasingly fascinated by the lonely and anonymous man.
Also today, Nene finally admits that she needs help.
Thursday
Toadie is next to face terrible danger in the hotel.
Is Ramsay Street about to lose an iconic resident?
In a surprising turn of events, it's revealed that Toadie is not safely in the city after all - he's lost in the gloom of the Lassiters building.
Toadie is struggling to free himself and things only get worse as he dislodges a beam that just may lead to another death in Erinsborough.
Meanwhile, Brad and Ned don't really know each other anymore - a fact brought home by Ned's awkwardness around his father.
Elsewhere, Paul's softer side emerges in the aftermath of the explosion but when he is asked to provide CCTV footage of Lassiters to help investigate the blast, his guilty reaction hints that he's hiding something. Was he involved in the deadly incident?
Friday
Toadie shares some last requests as he fears he may die.
Is it the end for one of the Street's best-loved residents?
Toadie is located and he's able to communicate through a radio but after the emergency services assess the damage, Toadie is worried that he might not make it.
Preparing for the worst, Toadie shares some final requests...
Meanwhile, Amy mourns for a lost love.
Elsewhere, events take a disturbing twist when it's revealed that the boiler was tampered with.
Also today, one of Ramsay Street's rebellious teens may be heading down a slippery slope.

I haven`t seen anything else about it, so its pure speculation on my part. But could Karl and Susan grandson Ben be one of the deaths? Not sure if he`s classed as 'most loved' though.
I just watched the video and its Paul giving his condolences to someone while it looks like Karl is pronouncing someone dead.
I really have no clue at this point.

I presume it is such a late showing because of the explosion and 3 deaths, although soap operas are never that explicit that they need to be shown after the watershed

As far as I'm aware it's a more "gory" version of the explosion? I could be wrong though! They haven't really clarified what it's for
The 10pm episode is an hour long, so it's not just a preview of the next day's episode. I can't imagine the UK would get an hour's worth of extra content so perhaps it's a longer version of Tuesday's episode? It doesn't seem fair on Aussie fans if we get extra scenes though.
I can't find any definitive description of exactly what the 10pm episode contains, which is a bit mysterious of Channel 5... :hmm:
Monday, 4th April
A massive explosion rips through Lassiters hotel!
Georgia returns and has a shock in store for Kyle.
Multiple lives are in danger as the Grim Reaper lurks.
Tuesday, 5th April
Amid the chaos, Doug goes missing - where could he be?
Ramsay Street sees another return by Sarah Beaumont.
Kyle is electrocuted and Amy tries to resuce him.
Wednesday, 6th April
Paige is intrigued by a mystery man and vows to help him.
Brad comes face to face with estranged son Ned!
Might there be more than one death in Erinsborough?
Thursday, 7th April
Suspicious Lauren reckons Ned may be a gang member...
Paul behaves strangely - which suggests he is hiding something.
Sonya realises Toadie is trapped in the hotel!
Friday, 8th April
Aaron is hurt when Nate reappears without warning.
Will Kyle be leaving Ramsay Street one way or another?
Xanthe finds a bag of cash and immediately starts spending it!
Sneak peek at next week
Anguished Aaron drops an almighty bombshelll on Nate.

If you weren't already prepared, next week is a big deal for Neighbours - and now Channel 5 has unveiled the official UK trailer for the 'Hotel Death Trap' storyline.
Tragedy strikes when a huge explosion rocks the Lassiters complex. The UK broadcaster is even airing the first episode after the watershed.
An hour-long special will see the hotel's boiler room explode, airing from 10pm next Monday, April 4 on Channel 5.
In the chaotic aftermath, residents and guests will find themselves trapped under rubble and debris.
Not everyone survives - and as the story continues, it's Paul Robinson who gets wrongly accused of causing the deadly explosion.

The part about the first episode being shown after the watershed is wrong! Just got my TV mag, and Neighbours is on at 1.45, 5.30 & 10.00 p.m. on 5 that day. Of course, we already knew that. Looking at things, I think it's obvious that one of the Quill's is behind it and they are framing Paul.
With the development not happening, Lassiters isn't financially viable so they probably caused the explosion for the insurance money and easy to pin it on Paul. Hopefully that's not the case as it's obvious, but I think obvious in this case will ring true.

I agree. I've also been thinking it's one of the Quills, quite possibly for the insurance. Or perhaps it's some kind of revenge by Tom after Julie fires him? I'm not sure about Lassiters not being financially viable without the second tower because it's certainly made enough money for Paul over the years. However, perhaps the Quill chain was already overstretched?

Yeah, I think it'll be one of them. Maybe Julie's little **** of a son? Not Tom, the other wee brat :p
I hate the fact the whodunnit storyline has been confirmed as lasting months. I'm not a fan of long running whodunnits as all soaps usually run out of ideas and end up looking a little silly, but we shall see! Maybe I'll enjoy it :p

The young cast usually stay for about three years before leaving to try and "crack" Hollywood and Tyler hasn't been there for that long so I think it's unlikely the actor's leaving of his own accord. He's popular too so I doubt the producer would want to get rid of him.

Yeah they usually stay for three years it seems to be standard like Harley Bonner and Ariel Kaplan who just reached that time before going (though there are exceptions like the actor that played Mason went after a year) but generally it's standard for the younger ones.
Plus this disaster was filmed just before they finished for Christmas and I've seen quite a few photos on twitter of Travis Burns with fans on set of Neighbours that have been on tours of the set/filming locations as recently as March so I'm pretty sure Tyler is safe.

I think it could be Tom Quill, out for revenge. Seems a cruel plot for insurance, especially when the hotel is packed for an event.

I'd be so annoyed if it was him, plainly because that's the most obvious choice and if they are going to have a whodunnit storyline running for months, I'd find it really quite boring that they'd go for the most obvious choice in the end.

They are setting up a whodunnit for a few months? That explains why they had Chas in the boiler room. They have set up him as one of the suspects, Tyler, Paul, the woman that Paul sets out to wreck the function etc.

Yeah, I'll try and find the article, but I remember reading that they confirmed and had already planned (or filmed) the months after the explosion and there will be a lot of red herrings and it'll be a few months before we find out who actually did it.

I've had a look at next week's TV listings (UK), and Tuesday's episode of Neighbours is half an hour as usual. Perhaps Australia are getting the hour long episode on Tuesday that we're seeing Monday night?
I know the article about Neighbours coming to an end was an April Fool's joke, but the subject does rear its ugly head from time to time.
The UK's Channel 5 basically keeps Neighbours afloat, and with the contract between Channel 5 and Neighbours up for renewal soon, there are some fans who are seriously nervous about the soap's future. Channel 5 pay an awful lot of money for Neighbours (I think I remember reading £30 million a year) and are likely to be looking for savings. However, the show is consistently one of their best ratings draws so they're not going to want to lose it.
Also, I know Neighbours is little watched in Australia, but (from what I've read on other sites) Australian channels (including the digital ones) have a quota of homegrown TV programming they have to produce. Given that, the money from Channel 5, and how well Neighbours sells overseas, it seems unlikely that it's going to finish any time soon.
Plus, the Neighbours team went ahead and spent millions recently on building the outdoor sets - which I don't think would have happened if they were worried about its future.

I wouldn't. Sometimes that's the most believable. Also Neighbours aren't like the other soaps at milking storylines, and crimes can take a while to solve.

I think it's got a few years left on it yet, I don't think it'll be around in 10 years time though however. I'd like to be proven wrong though!
I can see it lasting another 5/6 years. Even if channel 5 renew their contract, they hit on a gem every now and then and eventually you will get people high up on the ladder wondering if it's financially worth it.
If channel 5 don't renew the contract, I don't see any other free view channel picking it up and if gets picked up by a digital channel, a lot of the Neighbours audience are older folk who may not have digital TV and without the UK audience, they'd really struggle.
As much as I hate to say it, Neighbours simply hasn't had the talent to hold itself up in recent years. Don't get me wrong, I know soaps aren't exactly known for producing A-list stars, but whenever I catch an episode of Emmerdale (which isn't very often) the cast in that seem to have more talent in it, whereas Neighbours has sort of become known for relying on the sex appeal of characters than the talent of the actors. I know that might sound cruel, but it's not meant to be, but some of the most popular characters/actors are so wooden and just unbelievable.
Don't get me wrong, I love Neighbours and will tune in for however long it lasts, but they need to change more than their sets if they want to make their 40th anniversary.

I don't think there's much chance of Channel 5 not renewing its contract, although they're bound to want to negotiate the price they pay down. They last bought the rights in 2007 for 10 years, so hopefully they'll buy it for another decade.
I agree there's some terrible actors on Neighbours, especially the younger cast (although in my opinion the worst of those - Amber and Josh - have gone or are about to go). There's also some good young actors though. I think Matt Wilson is very good and Xanthe has promise given more experience.
Comparing it to UK soaps, I'd say Corrie has some of the worst actors in soap. I think Neighbours is in good shape on the whole and has really improved in the last few years. No, it's not perfect, but it's more often than not thoroughly enjoyable in my opinion.

Oh there's definitely some promising talent in that cast for sure! I don't know the last time I watched Corrie because it was just embarrassing :p
I think Neighbours has so much potential and sometimes it's not used and that's sort of frustrating. They tend to tackle quite interesting subjects and it always feels a little more genuine than some other soaps and I really hope it is around for another good while because it can be really good! My favourite character is Sheila, I think she is hilarious, as long as she sticks around, I'll be happy :p
It'll probably remain the only soap I watch along with being my guilty pleasure :p
Neighbours fans can expect heartbreaking scenes tonight (April 4) as the show's dramatic 10pm special sees a regular character killed off.
Channel 5 is giving the show a rare post-watershed slot for a specially-filmed hour-long episode, which focuses on an explosion disaster at Lassiters Hotel.
Lassiters will be a hive of activity today as various characters find themselves in the building, just in time for the shocking moment that the boiler room explodes. In the unmissable scenes that follow, this causes death and devastation which will change life in Erinsborough forever.
The storyline kicks off in Neighbours' regular 1.45pm and 5.30pm airings today, but viewers will have to tune back in at 10pm tonight to find out which character will be the first to die in the carnage.

Tuesday's episode will feature a brief 3-minute recap from the 10pm airing but the tragic scenes won't be shown again in full, so Neighbours fans are being encouraged to watch the one-off special to get the full impact from the storyline.
As with the last 10pm special, which focused on an explosion at Sonya and Toadie's wedding, the hour-long airing has been specially edited for a post-watershed audience and will include chart music from artists such as Adele and One Direction playing over some key scenes.
The action then continues across the week, with more tragedy, turmoil and even the return of Karl Kennedy's old flame Sarah Beaumont to throw another spanner in the works.

So if people are unable to watch or record this they will miss the scenes that include the first death? I thought it was a more gory version of the first death scene. I'm glad for a little clarification though :p

Imogen goes to work with Naomi in LA , Josh dies , Imogen doesn't, Kyle leaves and goes with Georgia, I would say Susan is injured and pretty sure its Doug and Tom Quill that die
I was hoping this hour long episode was going to go straight into the explosion after the recap. I'm guessing this first half hour is just going to be the same as what was aired earlier, the only thing that's different so far is the music playing over scenes

Yes, it was very disappointing that the first half hour was just a repeat of the earlier episode. I wouldn't have minded if I'd been forewarned so I didn't have to sit through it again.
I have to say as a big fan of Neighbours that I thought the episode where Josh died was one of the most ludicrous soap episodes I can remember watching. So many suspensions of disbelief were required!
Me too, I was fortunate enough to record it so I could fast forward the first half hour but how disappointing!!
How comes Toadie has gotten caught up in a death trap again?! Poor old toad.

Yeah, it wasn't really an hour special, it was a 30 minute...sort of special. I didn't really get the point of having it at 10, I was hoping for it to maybe be a little more gory, but that didn't happen.
Are licensing laws for music different after 9 or something? The use of chart songs suddenly seemed so random :p

For Josh's death scene they played Adele's song 'When We Were Young.'
Throughout the episode they played 1D, Zayn and Lucas Graham songs too, but I think it was just for the UK special they had them play, they don't usually use chart music

Yes, that was annoying. The second half was excellent ( apart from Adele wailing above Josh ), but we could have just had a 30 minute special.

Yeah it was really annoying, the fact as well they were like "this is not going to be a repeat episode! This is brand new material!" and then it was half a repeat and half new material...ugh.
If they had said "the first 25 minutes will be the build up again and then new stuff" I don't think I'd have been quite as annoyed

Yes, that was out of character. There's no way she would have really shown absolutely no concern for Joshua - who she knew was injured too. That was just one of the many occurrences that required a suspension of disbelief from me in that episode.

Neighbours fans should grab those tissues again - the show will be airing its second Hotel Death Trap demise today (April 6).
Viewers are still reeling over the tragic loss of Josh Willis, who passed away in tearjerking scenes after getting trapped underneath a concrete column at the hotel.
Wednesday's episode is now being promoted as equally unmissable, as another popular character is killed off in sad circumstances.
Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison commented: "We promised it would be the biggest week ever and while I know viewers are reeling over the death of Joshua, please don't put the tissues away yet.
"Tonight we lose one of our much loved long-term characters and there are more surprises to come from the debris.
"However, despite all the drama of this week, it's not all despair. There are some very happy endings and surprise arrivals in store over the coming weeks."
Neighbours' hotel horror is proving to be a huge hit, with over a million viewers tuning in for the action-packed 10pm special on Channel 5 on Monday night.
The sudden increase in buzz surrounding the show has also led to Neighbours trending high on Facebook and Twitter as viewers have speculated over the next victim.

How will he cope with seeing both his son and father die before his eyes in one day? That would be extremely difficult to come to terms with. I hope there are long term repercussions from these deaths for all the Willises.
Doug's death was sad, although it felt strangely underplayed to me. I did like seeing his "ghost" afterwards though. :)

Same, there's nothing worse than when shows have traumatic deaths and then the families are over them a week later.
Although I do remember reading an interview with the woman who plays Therese (I need to start learning the actors names!) and she said they were still filming the emotional aftermaths of recent storylines and I'm assuming that has to be the deaths of Josh and Doug.
It was quite nice they both went at the same time and I don't mean that in a nasty way! But Josh and Doug had a really special and unique bond and I always enjoyed their scenes together, especially when they were plotting Ned's return, so storyline wise is was nice, but as for family tragedy, that's a tough one!
